I'm back from my scan, ladies...and there's definitely a baby in there! Hooray!
Sonographer said it was very well behaved as didn't move at all! Sleeping I suspect....long may that continue!

Oh, and hubby...for the first time I think the penny has started to drop that this is really happening!

Can't wait for all you girls to join us over on ante-natal...I am hurling bucket loads of baby-dust your way!

Morning all

Flirty great news about your scan hun!! I'm really excited about mine, I cant wait.

I'm off out on a work do tonight, I'm going to be using the old "sorry but I'm on antibiotics" excuse. I just hope I'm not seen thru!

Thanks for the list Vix, you've got me right! I'm keeping my fingers crossed for at least one more BFP this month - when are you guys testing????????????

How are we all doing today?

heverhoney1 · 17/10/2008 17:43

Hey everyone. Thanks for the congrats on the scan, I have chilled out a lot more now!! I now feel like I thought I would have done when we got the BFP - even found myself telling a random lady I was standing next to at the Olympic Parade that I was duffed up!!

Flirty - Hope you are feeling the same way now! It is such a relief isn't it.

Linwin- Good news about the new job, I had a sneaky idea that you would go for it in the end - I hope its amazing!!

Dawn- Any news on getting an early scan?

Vix- Thanks for the lists, I think more BFPs are def coming our way I can feel it in my very substantial waters (I can pee for england now lol)

heverhoney1 · 17/10/2008 17:43

p.s Good weekends to all xxxx

makingafamily · 18/10/2008 13:48

Hi ladies

Thanks for updating the list Vix. Well i guess we'll be yoghurt potting within the next 10 days. back to my fav past time of peeing on sticks lol Cant believe how quickly this cycles coming round.

My tip for everyone to get BFP's this month is to become my cycle buddy. Two months ago it was Saz and last month it was Questions, i'm the BFP mascot lol But would be fab to get a BFP this month. I'm thinking 3rd time lucky

Good luck to all you ladies waiting to test. Lets get the bottom list longer. Its alot easier to keep up to date :0 :0 :0

tomorrow i'm off to columbia road flower market with my mum, which is my fav thing to do on a sunday morning. Would imagine we'll go and have a big brekkie in Hackney City Farm

Hope your having fab weekends ladies

Vix67 · 18/10/2008 18:40

Hi Ladies,

Hope ur all enjoying ur weekend!!

Well i am feeling a bit down because i tested far too early this morning - CD24 and my cycle is usually 31 and got a BFN.

I also feel like my AF is going to arrive because I am getting very bad tempered!!

Will test again later on next week, cos i have my free clearblue test to use and they need feedback by end of october.

Oh well ive got my hols to look forward to in 3 weeks and ive planned it around ov time!!!!

Big hello to everyone xx

heverhoney1 · 18/10/2008 19:03

((((HUGS VIX)))) I would however like to add you are testing WAAAAYYYY to early even first response are only accurate for a TINY proportion of women this early. Dont give up hope just yet. Also moodieness is part of TTC!! so dont be too down on yourself!

wildfig · 18/10/2008 19:35

Hello. I think I'm out for this month - am on CD 27, but DH and I both managed to be away for work separately mid-cycle, so didn't get a whole lot of BDing in, and then according to Fertility Friend I haven't actually ovulated yet (?!) but then I did miss some temperatures on account of racing downstairs to let the dog out for her morning loo break, so who knows. I have zero symptoms apart from crying at Cherie Lunghi's rumba last week on Strictly, which I don't think counts...

I'm just going through the 6-month no-BFP low morale thing, really. Two more friends have announced they're PG, and my cousin is facebooking hour-by-hour bulletins about her baby which isn't even due until the end of the month - frankly, it's all kind of depressing. Am loving our new doggy baby though - DH and I have all the joys of parenthood (crying at night, discussions about bowel movements, cuddles, endless trips for specialist food, etc)!

Vix67 · 20/10/2008 11:33

Thanks Hever i know i am being far too impatient ha ha , am dying to test again but am going to leave it until my af is due which is fri / sat.

The one and only symptom i have is the amount of spots that have popped up on my face but thats about it, and crying all of the time. But because i am on clomid tablets ( fertility tablets ) they give you all these symptoms aswell so i really dont know.

I genuinely dont feel pg though!!

Wildfig how long are your cycles normally?? Dogs are perfect to use your maternal instincts on, mine is my little baby!!

MAF good luck with the yoghurt potting!!

Hope everyone else is enjoying their Monday

xx

Linwin · 20/10/2008 23:02

Hi girls - what a crap day.....I'd forgotten how horrid it is being the new girl.

Vix it is waaay too early to test, I'm keeping everything crossed for you and hever

I would update my stats but I'm now CD 55 - WTF!!?

Hi to everyone else - hope you all had a better monday than me!

xxxxxxxxxxx

summerbird · 21/10/2008 12:45

wildfig i know how you feel hun, i didnt get my BFP until cycle 7 which was just over 6 months and i hit a low too. I jumped back out of it by thinking positive and trying to put it to the back of my mind (easier said than done) i did proactive things like applying for a new job (didnt make the sift but not bothered now!!) and started arranging a ski holiday - both of those things are out for me now but it did relax me a bit and i got my BFP. Good luck - i know how you are feeling

vix I genuinely didnt feel PG either - was convinced i was out for the month too - and that was the BFP month....

MAF you are more than just a cycle buddy - i am keeping everything crossed for your yoghurt potting! (ps - i cant look at a pot of yoghurt now without thinking of you..... )

I have just got my scan date through - 11 November - three weeks today! At which point i will be 10 weeks, which i am thrilled about. I just got back from Barcelona and didnt have Morning Sickness until today - hoorah!

My EDD just needed updating:

Hi All
hope everyone is doing well.
I'm on my 2nd cycle, round 2 of clomid. should be ovulating by the end of the week. I'm going to TRY and relax about the whole thing. I know everyone says, relax and it'll happen. And I would have said thats total BS.
But I had resigned myself to the belief that AF was never coming back, Provera didn't bring it back, and I paniced and thought that was it,I'd never get AF again. I felt sorry for myself and contemplated what route to take next. But I woke up one day about 3 weeks later and said, I'm tired of thinking about it, dwelling on it, and putting so much energy into it, if it comes it comes, and if not I'll deal with it. I kinda made peace with myself, and honest to GOD the very next day I got my period.
It was doozie (first one in 8 months) but I relished every moment of it.
Then started the clomid......so I'm feeling positive this month, and hope all the other frolickers are feeling great as well.
Baby Dust to all

DawnoftheDead · 22/10/2008 12:21

Hey girls,

Hope everyone is Ok.

Wishin, good luck with OVing!! Hope this is your month!!

Vix, any more news on testing?

Linwin, hope the job's improving hun. Give yourself time to settle in...

Summer, glad that you enjoyed your hols. Work is so manic here that I almost forgot that I had two days off last week!! Got another week off though the week after next so really looking forward to that one!!

So, not much news this end. Getting some nausea, generally anwhere from 9am to 5pm but not actually being sick. I find that when I'm hungry, I feel much worse and travelling in the car isn't nice either. But as long as I eat something everytime I start to feel whoosy, I'm fine. Also feeling tired, boobs still sore but not unbearable and I'm not really drinking as much as I should , so weeing isn't too frequent.

I've got my first docs appointment this afternoon and have got my first appointment with the midwife on the 4th November, so I'll be 9 weeks by then. 7 weeks yesterday so way past where I MCd last time which is good. I'm going to try and get a referral from the doc for an early scan next week. I've heard that an 8 week scan is a good one because you can see loads and it really puts your mind at rest. So fingers crossed...

Does anyone know what they do at the first doctor's appointment? I'm assuming it's just taking blood....?

Hope everyone else is doing Ok.

xxx

Vix67 · 22/10/2008 12:36

Morning Everyone!!

Dawn good luck for your docs appointment this afternoon, how exciting!!

Linwin keep your chin up, you wont be the new girl for long!!

Wishin good luck on the clomid, my side effects havent been too bad ... touch wood!!

I havent done another test yet, but have been charting my temps every morning and had a dip in temp this morning, exact same thing happened this time last month. Am also getting period pains so think im out again this month

At the moment I am just feeling like it will never happen. I feel like crying!!

But i am looking forward to my hols 2 weeks on fri and am praying that all the rest , relaxation , warm weather might just help me get a BFP next month!!
So gonna try and stay positive!!

Big hello to everyone else hope you're all well!! xx

FlirtyThirty · 22/10/2008 14:24

Ladies...a word on temping and OV sticks as I have seen a few of you are worrying about both. My chart was all over the place the month I conceived, looks more like a heart monitor. And to top it off, I NEVER got a positive OV test, even using expensive ones. I found it really depressing. BUT...I am 14wks PG this week...so clearly my body was working in some capacity. I know it's hard...but don't get too hung up on it. Try and keep the faith in your body regardless of some of the results you see. Oh, and I never had EWCM until I was PG...it was one of the first physical signs I had.

Hang in there...

fairywing · 22/10/2008 18:21

Hi all, haven't been about very much lately due to work comittments mostly. Congrats on all the BFP's and hope everyone is well. Just wanted a bit of advice really. I'm on day 14 of cycle 3 and we decided to take things a little more seriously this month. I have had a little bit of EWCM and my cycles have been 30-32 days so far. I can't persuade DH to BD more than every other day at the moment - he is just so exhausted with work stuff. I'm just wondering how that will effect my chances of conceiving. How much less likely am i to conceive doing it every other day rather than every day?? I would really really like to conceive this month for lots of reasons but mostly because i dont know how much longer i can go through the horrific pain of AF for

Vix67 · 22/10/2008 18:33

Hi everyone

fairywing my doctor told me to do it every other day rather than every day, as it helps the little swimmers get their strength back!! And healthy sperm can hang around for about 5 days!! So you should be fine!!

Thanks flirty i know sometimes i get too hung up on all of my charting!!

Have started spotting this afternoon

Have rang up and enquired about acupuncture, does anyone get this done?? xx

summerbird · 22/10/2008 19:38

wishin vix and fairywing i am sending you good vibes and baby dust to cheer you all up

thanks vix and summerbird

DawnoftheDead · 23/10/2008 10:01

Hey all,

Fairywing, Vix's advice was absolutely correct. We only did it 3 times the month that we conceived. On the day I OVd, 2 days before that and the day before that. So it really all is about timing I believe!

So, really pissed off ('scuse the language...) at my GP. He refuses to refer me for an early scan because apparently having one miscarriage is classed as "normal" and I would only need an early scan if I'd had two past MCs as which is more rare. I'm now concerned that because I left it so late to see the GP in the first place and I can't have a Midwife appointment until 4th Nov (when I'm 9 weeks), that I might end up having a late scan for my first one because the dates seem to take ages to come out!! How frustrating!!

So all this means that I'm going to become more and more anxious as time goes on that things are going wrong. With no-one to be able to confirm otherwise. I'm not really getting consistent symptoms either which worries me. I occasionally get nausea, but not necessarily every day (not that I'm really complaining about that - ), my boobs are fairly sore which doesn't seem to change, but the constipation has eased. I suppose the only thing that seems to be constant is that I really just don't fancy certain foods, that I normally enjoy.

The GP tried to say that Missed Miscarriages and issues like that are very rare and that I shouldn't worry. But why is it that they seem so common on MN...

Anyway, whinge over. I hope that all beans and those TTC are doing OK!!

xxx

Linwin · 23/10/2008 21:17

Oh Dawn how annoying that your doctor can't let go of the "rules" for once and accomodate your worries. they're totally crap most of them.

BUT, and I know nothing is going to ease your worries until you have the scan, please be positive because you can only deal with the negative if it happens and in the mean time you have every reason to be over the moon

I'm sure that doesn't help but we're all here rooting for you and little beanie my dear.

I am worried worried about whats going on with me. If AF doesn't come whilst we're on holiday I will be back to the doctor to see whats going on. I'm sure they'll be super helpful
