thanks ladies, i'm actually a bit nervous now, what if it disappears next time? what if i just imagined?! it was 6 in the morning! or i get AF? hubby's really happy and already wants to start telling the family!

i'll test tomorrow morning, and sunday and monday...you get the idea

as long as i keep my achey boob i'll be happy for now

Lully hehe, i did that, i tested last week too!

Yellowflowers hope you get a result from the docs!

LittleCheese · 10/10/2008 11:08

congratulations questions, i always find it funny how it makes me feel all happy and excited when a MNer gets her BFP even though i may have only spoken to her a couple of times

yellowflowers · 10/10/2008 13:41

Hello,

Turns out the reason the doctor needed a retest on the urine sample was because on Monday they'd given me the wrong sample bottle and it had been contaminated (there is another element in bottles used for infection testing apparently and they'd given me this). I was so pissed off.

The doctor I saw was nice. She says sore boobs throughout cycle just one of those things that happens which I don't really believe but I did make her check I had no lumps so she felt them and all fine, so not cancer at least! She also said if pregnant would def show on home urine test and I said fine but therefore why the metallic taste and sore boobs, and sense of smell etc. She reordered urine test and I insisted she get blood test done too. But still came away feeling like a hyperchondriac and like she thought I was mad. I hate GPs.

So upshot is probably not pregnant but thanks to their incompetence won't know for sure until blood test results back next week, and having sore boobs for over two weeks is apparently just one of those things.

So guess I will just assume I am not pregnant. But not 100 per cent certain. Got to BD lots anyway now because if my 3 day mini period two weeks ago was my proper period then now is the time for this month. I am very close to tears.

x

Chin up yellowflowes, hang in there and im sure it wont be long. GP's can be so frustrating and have a good habbit of making you feel stupid but stand strong and make sure your happy with the tests they have done. Hope the results next week are postive ones!

LollysMum1 · 10/10/2008 16:19

Congratulations Questions. Its so great to hear good news so hope the line gets darker.

yellowflowers - what is it with the health service?! You were right to insist on a blood test as at least there will be no doubt. Who cares what the GP thinks - you're the most important one in all this!

smallone · 10/10/2008 16:37

Well done yellowflowers, sounds like you called all the shots at Drs, you would feel worse if you'd come away thinking "I should have pressed for a blood test" and just think, by the time you get your blood results back you could be pregnant from this month!

Questions, am waiting with baited breath for tomorrows results!

questions2008 · 11/10/2008 10:11

ok faint line is still here! relieved for now, DH saw it too so i ain't going crazy. trying to not get too excited too soon!

i'm now really thirsty and pee a lot, still got those achey boobs - i'm hoping they stay that way!

thanks for all your crossed digits ladies! i've just calculated it and it turns out if this bean sticks, my EDD will be 25th June, so technically I'm a fraud to be posting here

smallone · 11/10/2008 11:18

Yey! long may your achy boobs continue

smallone · 11/10/2008 11:20

[whispers] Mine still ache too btw. Resolved not to test til week on monday.

smallone · 11/10/2008 11:29

Questions, am I being dim? I see that we are similar in cycle length and that your edd would be 25th, my theoretical edd would be 28th.

Doesn't that mean we are three days apart? So how is it you're 8 days ahead of me? My brain hurts!

questions2008 · 11/10/2008 12:23

hmm smallone i'm confused too, but to be honest i have no idea what i'm doing, i stuck the date of the first day of my last period (13th sept) into one of those calclators and got 25th june. i should be on CD29 now. does that match up with you?

dinkyboysmum · 11/10/2008 14:35

on cd2 now....arrrgghh! starting to get stressed with this ttc lark! ignore me, i'll have a couple of 'annoyed' days, and then pick myself up & start being more positive.

funkybumps · 11/10/2008 17:10

hi everyone, thought I'd just check in cos I've not been around much lately.

Yellowflowers, good on you for demanding a blood test. Hang on in there, girl x

Questions, fantastic news !!!! So pleased for you and hopefully you've brought some luck to the thread for the rest of us.

Well, I have been getting down to it loads last week and I think I have ovulated his morning as I had the feeling in my ovary that I get when things are happening. I'm a bit paranoid that we're not getting pregnant due to the lack of CM I seem to be producing. TMI ALERT but it doesn't seem to change past the sticky phase into the EWCM that is sperm friendly. It's so annoying as I used to produce loads when I didn't need the bloody stuff !! Therefore, I am adding some grapefruit juice in next months shopping to help things along.

smallone · 11/10/2008 17:46

Ah, that makes sense! My LMP was 21st sept. I just put your date into the same calculator as I used before and got the 20th, so def still 8 days apart. (was secretly hoping I'd got it wrong and didn't have to wait over a week to test myself

spats · 11/10/2008 19:16

hi, jumping over from the 1 week to wait thread as AF has arrived today and so i will be aiming for July baby - i want to cry though today. I too am fed up with this ttc , it takes over your life and thoughts

LollysMum1 · 11/10/2008 19:29

Hi all, wondering if Im ovulating - had some mild twinges today but only CD7 - is that ridiculously unlikely as its so early?

JLo2 · 11/10/2008 19:30

VIrtual hugs for you spats and dinkyboysmum. We all now what you're going through and feel for you big time

JLo2 · 11/10/2008 19:31

Sorry meant know not now!

smallone · 11/10/2008 22:44

Ok ladies, I need ideas to keep me occupied in the 2ww. I've got sore (and quite enormous) boobs, am knackered, feel sick, (not helped by DD who did a massive poo on the floor today) and am getting that impending sense of doom. I'm remembering a day when I was early pg with DD, saying to DH that I was never going to do this again coz I felt so awful. (Why did I not remember this before?)

AF due 18th, am going home to my mums monday to thurs, not quite sure how I'm going to hide all these symptoms (real or imaginary). That should keep me from testing til at least saturday as I've deliberatly not bought any so it's gonna be at least friday before I can get to a shop.

So what can I do to keep calm?

Still haven't found that knitting pattern for a clearblue stick yet

JLo2 · 12/10/2008 10:32

I'll keep you company smallone. I was sitting in bed this morning and suddenly found myself symptom spotting. After giving myself a severe telling off I had to get up and busy very quickly so it didn't happen again. So much for a slow start to Sunday!
AF due around the 19th, so this is the kind of time when I start looking for the clearblue knitting pattern again
I'm now going off to do some ironing (OMG it must be bad) to take my mind off it all. I definitely find keeping very busy is the only way.

Waiting2Exhale · 12/10/2008 10:39

Hi ladies,

Sorry havn't been around for some time but am trying hard not to obsess which means as little as possible visit to MN .

Having said that could resist reading all the many posts and feeling completely sorry for you Yellowflower You have kinda been through what I have as I too only had a couple of days spotting/very light period this cycle which made me think maybe it wasn't my period. However, as I have continued to temp and have noticed a shift in temps not that I have ovulated again, I am now convinced that this period cycle was just a bit of a weired one.

Officially on the 2ww now and like everyone else will try not to symptom spot throughout the whole time.

Wishing everyone the best of luck...

smeraldina · 12/10/2008 15:59

Hello all,

Just to say I'm feeling for you symptom spotting -- and am doing much the same. Arrrhgh! To make things worse, I have no idea how long I have to wait for an answer . . . I always had a 28 day regular cycle, until I started trying to conceive. Then it's gone into a mad sort of 32 -34 day affair, including a miscarriage. Not sure whether the longer cycles have been caused by chemical pregnancies (because I had a v v faint line last month which appeared after the 2 mins, then a long wait before AF) or just because things change.

Successfully managed to gatecrash the conference for a round of (I hope) well-timed bonking.

Currently feeling really moody, grumpy, and oversensitive -- which I think suggests PMT rather than something nicer.

love to all.

Smeraldina

smeraldina · 12/10/2008 16:00

ps - wonderful news Questions!!!!!!

smeraldina · 12/10/2008 16:01
