Hi guys - we've had May and June, so may July be third thread lucky. I am a July baby myself. All welcome.

Thanks wishing - not too bad, just wish body wasn't so evil at tricking me! Like you say, less waiting til I can try again. Got other things on my mind aswell now, my body has gone very weird and I don't know which symptoms are caused by what!

Mickeylou- It's very long time since I was on the pill but I think you should be counting from the first day AF. I'm with you on the happy accident thing - far easier!

smallone · 18/10/2008 10:37

ooh I've no idea why that posted twice!

Hi, I'm on CD 26 or 27 and have developed thrush. Does anyone know if this can be an early pg symptom?

funkybumps · 18/10/2008 15:52

Hi all,

LJ29, it can be an early preg symptom as thrush can be caused by an inbalance of yeast which is affected by hormones. I am currently suffering with a bout but nothing new for me as I have it every month a week before AF is due

Waiting2Exhale · 18/10/2008 16:59

Hi All,

Spat no worries have updated everyone on the list now....

Took a massive dip in my temps today...a little worried this is the end of the road for me before really starting. Only 9DPO and soooooo hoping this may be an implantation dip . Does anyone know what this is suppose to feel like?

Hi I'd like to add myself to the list if that's ok, I have a DS who's 22 months, he was a lovely surprise cause we weren't trying. DH wanted to start trying in January but I didn't feel ready, but I think he only felt that way cause he'd been away for 4 months with work and therefore not been round DS's tantrums. Anyway good luck to all of us.

What if you could win the lottery this month and get pregnant next month?

Okay, so I possibly ovulated last Saturday, but more likely last Mon/Tues, which means if I was to early test (don't do it!!!) next Sat would be the first day I should realistically but that really I should wait until Mon/Tues or even if I can, Wed. Am going to try not to symptom spot and try not to obsess, particularly after last month.please help me...

OP posts:
madmarriedNika · 19/10/2008 11:34

Hello all, been away from mumsnet as trying not to obsess this month (and also mid writing up my PhD which is a bit stressful atm). So pleased to read your news Questions & Teenytinytorya Definitely gives us all some much-needed hope!

Littlemissmischief- really sorry that your lil bean last month didn't stick, really feel for you

Well I'm on CD21, and my last cycle was just 24 days long- but am usually 28 days- so not sure really when to test. Obviously if I can resist then I should wait until next Sat and save the pennies (hmm, pounds) on tests in case AF puts in another early appearence. Really going to try to forget about it all for the next few days and will try to resist coming onto MN I am oddly hopefuly this month as did get more BDing in, although really not sure when ovulated.

LJ29 & funkybumps- I too have recently managed to get thrush in the week preceeding AF, and it's here again Weird though as never usually suffer from it, and didn't while on the pill or breastfeeding... Also have started getting spots on my forehead in the week before AF- which again I never used to get until I came off the pill just over 3 months ago - weird . They have appeared again now so part of me thinks AF is on her way Right- no more obsessing!

Funkybumps you're a day ahead of me- how are you doing? when are you planning to test?

Good luck everyone and hope lots of BFPs are on their way!

Wishing · 19/10/2008 11:51

Hello everyone!

i will try help you yellow - please dont test just yet its too early - im telling myself not to and to make sure i dont i have the test in the car - sooooooo first thing in the monring i get up desperate to wee and think oh i cant be bothered to run all the way down there to get the test i will wiat til tomorrow!! after the last 3 months of getting myself into such a state i have to be firm and not obsess - i have still syptom spotted this month and dh had to have words with me about it last month and i have secretly convinced myself i am pregnant this month - i just hope it doesnt all end in tears again!! try hang in there and hold on yellow - in know it is so so so so hard but i think i make myself worse by testing early stressing over a bfn - straining to look for a bfp and also worrying over the £7-£9 i basically keep peeing on to then through away and go cry over! and i am now telling myself that due to the fact i am sure i was pregnant at least once in the last 3 months i have not done myself any favours by stressing and worrying which has resulted in an early mc.

im really sorry if thise sounds harsh - i just read it back and nearly didnt post it! but i can tell from reading some mof these posts that a lot of us out there are all going throuh the same thing which is why we come on this website - it has taken me a lot to realise i am causing a lot of my own problems, i know nthe temptation to test is so strong i very nearly rang down to the drive in my nightie to great all the neighbours washing their cars this morning but i made myself not - i will just have to make due with symptom spotting! and im telling myself the money im saving on not testing every time i pee i can put towards something for the bean when i do get my bfp!!

wow - thats a bit deep for a sun day morning isnt it!! sorry! but i feel a bit better now - hope its helped yellow!

sorry to hear about your situation little miss its exactly the same as me last month and its tough and feels so cruel! hope your ok and glad you have moved over to this thread.

think my post is long enough so i will just say bye and goodluck to everyone on their 2ww and happy bding to anyone else - bags of baby dust all round

xxxxxxx

Waiting2Exhale · 19/10/2008 14:07

Hi bexaa, thanks for that...I do actually feel like AF is about to arrive and a little bit sickie...but thats generally how I feel when AF is about to arrive too. Temps have recovered today...thank god... . Basically went from 98.6 to 98.1 then back today to 98.6.

Am gonna remain hopeful for now at least, as I do kinda feel it is gonna be my month this month which will also save me and Dh loads of many on fertility treatment at the ARGC on IUI.

By the way, has anyone had any experience at this clinic before which they wouldn't mind sharing?

1LittlePrincess · 19/10/2008 23:01

Hi All

Well lots and lots to catch up on You have all been busy.

Have been away for a while. Not much BD'ing going on my end DP had to work away quite abit. Only managed CD13,14 and 16. As I usually Ov between CD 16-20 not sure that this would have been enough to make us a July buba but trying to keep positive. Also didnt have hardly any EWCM this cycle. First time ever, so going to start with grapefruit juice next cycle if we havnt caught this cycle.

Hope everyone is well. Will catch up on everyones news and post back to you all

Take Care

Wishing · 20/10/2008 08:58

Morning all - hope all well, very quiet on the post front, hopefully all bding and cdelebrating the bfp!!

i dont have much news seem to be checking this site all the time - so much for not obsessing or trying to syptom spot!! im still hanging off the early testing though so im making some progress!!

im still on wth 2ww cd 26 of usually 29 days! so still everything to hope for - one minute i sure i am then i tell myself not to convince myself and cause more upset but this is so difficult!! Some times my boobs are tender but not consistently?!?!?! im very tierd and developed a bit of thrush which im sure i read from a post somewhere from Lj29 this could be another sign?? must stop obsessing!!

love to all xxxxxxxxx

mickeylou · 20/10/2008 09:18

Hi everyone. its 28 days now since i last took the pill but i was good and didnt test this morning. going to try to wait til wednesday as do think i should be counting from first day of last af not from day stopped taking the pill. dont be suprised if i post on here that i tested tommorrow monring tho!. boobs been achey and sore for days now but not consistently. they do feel bigger but i have big boobs anyway so dh just laughed when i said it to him! had a bit of stomach ache on saturday though and was convinced af was on way. this ttc makes you so hyper aware of every little symptom doesnt it?? good luck everyone. xx

Wishing · 20/10/2008 09:31

it deffo does mickeylou!! i never thought i had any af symptoms befreo i started ttc - now i dont know if what i think are pg symptoms could actually be af symptoms!!
#they say you can often catch on quite quickly after coming off the pill dont they!! fingers xd for you!! keep in touch

xxx

smallone · 20/10/2008 09:32

Morning all!

Step away from those tests! Just think what our mothers/grandmothers must have gone through - no peeingonsticks just waiting 8 weeks (eek) and a trip to the docs for him to "think" your probably pregnant. No scans, nothing!

How much calmer they must have been

Seriously tho, I am now convinced that there is a ttc hormone which mimics pregnancy in every way just to cruelly trick us. I hope everyone getting close can hold off testing til the day AF is due (unrealistic?) and then convince me to wait when I'm due!

big love to all the lovely ladies and boo to teststick manufacturers who now have all our money!

Wishing · 20/10/2008 09:39

here here small one - they are praying on our hope!! i cant believe they charge so much for these fantastic early detector hpt - all you do is pee on it!! im desparate not to early test this month it frightens me how much i must have spent over the last few months on hpt!! lets all hang in there - not easy though i know - good luck to all!!

xxxxxx

yellowflowers · 20/10/2008 09:41

i'm going to buy a big bag of internet cheapies today because even though if negative I don't believe them, they do stop me going out and buying the expensive ones.

OP posts:
smallone · 20/10/2008 09:41

If it helps anyone not to test, my boobs were ridiculously achey, which they have only ever been when I first went on the pill many moons ago and when I was pregnant with dd.. . . . . and now my first month of ttc.

smallone · 20/10/2008 09:44

just worked out that my CD10 is our wedding anniversary - a good omen to start off the BD marathon for this month?

Wishing · 20/10/2008 09:50

i get my cheapies from wilkinsons - they are same as doc use!! which is another reason why i am reluctant to spend loads cb or fr!!same here though yellow! when i trst with a cheapie one and its a bfn i convince myself its cos its cheap it isnt strong enough to detect hcg!! i know people who have had it conf at docs but still not got a +ive hpt until 12 weeks!! i also tell myself that when i get a repeated bfn! why do we do it to ourselves! i may be refraining from early testing but i have posted on nearly every thread on mn and spent all morning on here trying to convince myself i will be lucky this month!

sammysam · 20/10/2008 10:07

Morning everyone-hope you have all had good weekends!? Well AF arrived on fri but i'm still in for a July baby and CL was 28days-so acupucture has now helped me to ovulate earlier and now also make cycle shorter . This month the last week before af i was SURE it was coming-very strong hormones! I'm going all out this month-have started temping, bought preseed, wellmn tablets for dp and also the preseed came with some ov tests-not sure if i'll use them though? I am on a mission It has been 7 months now and it has been getting me down so I have to be positive!!!!

I've updated the list and re-added the BFPs as they got lost!

Good luck everyone! x x x
