makingafamily · 13/08/2008 12:23

Hi Vix and welcome

I only joined this thread a few weeks ago and everyone has been lovely. As crunchy said we've all got different circumstance's but the one big thing that joins us all is being on the baby making wagon.

Good luck with the clomid xx

summerbird · 13/08/2008 13:02

hiya vix and welcome aboard! i am 35 and have been TTC for 6 months now, but still positive.

saz it aint over yet - why dont you do another test as it could be implantation bleed

Boni how tall are you? it sounds like you are a healthy weight to me, and also you dont want to be underweight at 7st when you do get PG. i know what you mean about not being yourself though, i am currently 10.5st and reasonably happy at that, the lowest i have been is 9.5st. its the (.)(.)s with me!!!

saz007 · 13/08/2008 13:29

Hi Vix welcome to the thread!! I've heard the grapefruit juice one too, bought some but only managed a glass or two [yack emoticon] LOL

Eth, Summerbird thanks. I always thought that this happened before AF was even due??

DawnAS · 13/08/2008 15:52

Hi all,

And welcome Vix.

So MAF, not long now "MAF's getting married in the morning.... Ding dong the bells are gonna shine" (and hopefully the sun will too - keep everything crossed for you hun!!).

So girls, have you dry-cleaned all your outfits and got the extra bits ready that you're taking?! MAF, I think you said your dress was black and white, so I've got virtual fake rose-petals in black and white for the confetti if that's Ok. Don't worry, they won't stain your dress!!

You must be so excited. Is everything sorted? Just remember that even if there are any slight hiccups on the day (which there won't be!!) no-one else will notice. How many guests have you got going? Are the two "future Dads" going to be witnesses?

Saz, I have to admit that everything that I read, the initial implantation takes place between 6-12 DPO, although when I was getting my spotting (before they found out it was an MC) the DR said that it was common to continue to have Implantation spotting for a few weeks after initial Implantation as the cervix settles down and the "baby" burrows further into the womb. So you never know!!!

xxx

saz007 · 13/08/2008 16:07

Dawn thanks for that hun!

So I'm taking today as CD1 and am not doing any more tests this month. But on the plus side....4 days or so till BD-fest Aug 08 commences - whoohoo!!!! Bring it on!

Outfit is now fully sorted with my dancing shoes at the ready and at least I can join in the bubbly drinking! LOL hope there's an extra bottle

I have another suggestion for the playlist...Mr Blue Sky by ELO. If we play this the weather might improve

summerbird · 13/08/2008 17:36

thanks for that saz i now have that song implanted in my brain! if we are on a sunshine blitz hows about 'Walking on Sunshine' by Katrina and the Waves? and if you are sure you arent PG then i suggest you get a bottle of wine and some smoked salmon whilst you can!!

MAF have the most wonderful day, enjoy every minute and make sure you post some pics on your profile afterwards! the excitement running up to the wedding is fantastic. And enjoy your honeymoon at V festival too, i love a good music festival.

yep Dawn i am all set, my prom dress is hanging in the spare room with my sparkly shoes - i cant wait!

i am off work now girls for almost two weeks - woo hoo! we go to Llangennith on Friday morning so i shall be online tomorrow but out of action from Friday to Wednesday, i can see i am gonna have loads to catch up on as we are a chatty lot!

bubbap · 13/08/2008 18:16

Hi girls

Welcome Vix - I've only just joined too and I feel like part of the gang already

saz - keep us posted and try not to worry, it may be implantation bleed as the others have said.

summerbird - I shall wave to you across Cardiff on Sunday evening, hope you have a fab time in llengennith.

I've got a load of girl friends coming round this evening, so just been preparing the food! And I'll be taking it easy on the vino! Got a good excuse tonight as I'm the hostess!

makingafamily · 13/08/2008 18:25

Hey ladies

Dawn i'm "loving" the black and white rose petal confetti. I'm sooo excited i cant stay still. Just got home from final bits of shopping. The daddy's to be are both going to be there and are DP's Best men, i'm quite worried that bio daddy to be is going to start crying as as soon as him and my DP look at each other in emotional situations they just set each other off. It happened at numerous times during the boys Civil Partnership last year!!

Quick TTC Update. AF arrived this morning 5 days early?!?! Bad news in one way but on the other hand it means we should def be able to start this cycle as the boys are away from the 6th Sept, and i had happily resigned myself to the fact we were going to have to start the following month but maybe my body thinks different, will have to see when i ovulate And as soon as the boys drop off my AAA Batteries i can get started with the Clearblue Fertility monitor. Oooo the excitement So i guess today is officially CD1 Cycle1 TTC DC1

Much grinning, i know

makingafamily · 13/08/2008 18:26

Oh and we've got 40 at the ceremony and sit down meal and another 40 at the evening reception

crunchynutter · 13/08/2008 19:16

I shall have a drink and toast for another happy marriage xx

makingafamily · 13/08/2008 20:09

Thanks Crunchy. I told DP yesterday that we have a virtual toasting/party at 2.30pm and she really laughed

heverhoney1 · 13/08/2008 20:20

Hey everyone!!!

I just wanted to nip in and say MAF have a WONDERFUL day tomorrow.

I am now officially trying not to obsess so much. The pressure got a bit too much last week and I got very teary. I am much better now though xxxxxx

summerbird · 13/08/2008 21:04

heverhoney i got a bit tearful too when the evil witch came last week, i too am over it though and looking forward to the future, although there is no chance of BD tonight as we have just had a takeaway and i feel sick and bloated, i dont think i could manage it!!

looking forward to our virtual party tomorrow!

summerbird · 13/08/2008 21:05

ps bubbap i shall be waving backatcha!

bluestarlavender · 13/08/2008 21:54

Hi everyone,

I've been trying to stay away so I don't obsess on the 2WW.

Need to say good luck and have a wonderful day tomorrow, to MAF!! Hav a lovely two weeks and great honeymoon!! I hope the weather is good for you and DP! Grrr about the AF arriving just before your big day...why do things always happen like that?? But it's good news for CD1 cycle 1!!

Crunchy - so glad the door got fixed! and didn't cost £350, that would have been ouch!!

Saz - how you doing, hun?? Has AF arrived properly, or are you just spotting?

B - you do sound loads better today! I hope you had a great day with your mum! I love shopping with my sis and mum! It's always a lovely day out!

Big welcome to Vix! We are getting a nice big group now on this thread! And it's so nice that you girls who've been reading want to join us! I belong to two threads and wouldn't want to be anywhere else! Well done Dawn for starting this!

Summerbird - I'm so jealous of you going off to Llangennith this weekend! i hope you have lovely weather. Just a piece of advice, make sure you have a few sweaters. Even if the weather is sunny, the beach can be quite cold and windy, plus the nights can get cold!

Dawn - how's the back?? I hope you're not still suffering!

Heverhoney - I read your post and know exactly what you mean about needing some time out! It's really tough TTC! Emotionally draining! I'm glad you're back with us now though and please never feel that you can't come here and have a 'virtual cry'. We're all here for you!

Eth - oooh holiday packing, how exciting! I'm rubbish at packing and always take far too much stuff with me! But yay for the holiday!

Bubbap - hope you're having a lovely girlie evening! A couple of glasses of vino won't hurt too much! yum yum!

As for me, as you might have guessed, I'm hating the 2WW! Symptoms-wise, I have the same weird cramps I had last cycle. I had my IUD removed at the end of June and now seem to be getting weird cramping from just after OV through to AF! It's niggly and annoying. Apart from that, I have loads of creamy CM (yuck!), but not alot else. I think I'm 4DPO so I guess it's early days.

BSL x

OP posts:
saz007 · 14/08/2008 09:36

BSL AF is still really light but I do believe she is here to stay. The cramping is still here too, which is unusual, I had to take a painkiller last night and have them with me today too
Stay strong on the 2ww lady!!!

Heverhoney I hear what you?re saying! And this is the place for a virtual cry!! You guys are a great support
I think I put too much pressure on myself in expecting it to happen in month 1 (totally forgetting about DH along the way oops!) and I got a bit teary yesterday.
I?m over myself now and am excited for AF to bugger off so the BDing can recommence, only this time DH has agreed to start BDing sooner and not tail off after the predicted ov day ? hurray!! (sorry if TMI this early in the morning ladies )

Bubbap hope you had a great evening with the girls

Summerbird have a top holiday

MAF have the bestest day and enjoy the festival!! Cant wait to see the pics!! Boo about AF, but at least you can start sooner than planned

Hi to Dawn, Eth, Crunchy* and anyone else I?ve missed - sorry not intentional!!

bluestarlavender · 14/08/2008 10:21

Saz - I'm sorry, hun! I was hopeful that it might have been an implantation bleed!

Okay girlies, I need some advice. I normally skyplus quite a few shows that I like watching and suddenly I'm down to 1! The Ghost Whisperer! Can anyone recommend anything good...? I like stuff like Men in Trees, Gossip Girl, Pushing up Daisies, Supernatural. I use to love Buffy and Angel, but obvuously they are well over. Any recommendations??

BSL x

OP posts:
eth37 · 14/08/2008 10:25

MAF have a wonderful day!! It is quite sunny here, so fingers crossed!!! And enjoy V

saz sorry about AF.... But deffo enjoy the BDing fest! I understand about getting teary too. I felt awful last week when I got mine, really disheartened and sorry for myself.

B did you buy anything nice?

Dawn how is the back?

Crunchy, BSL,summerbird Hever and all our new ladies (plus anyone i've forgotten, sorry!!) Have a good Thursday.... I hae checked in online and printed boarding passes - yay!!!

eth37 · 14/08/2008 10:26

PS, TMI question here. When do you start BDing to ttc after AF have gone? So far this month (really fear this is TMI!!) we have managed CD5 and CD7 (am CD9 now) do you think these are a waste of time?! In the ttc sense of things!! As in, is CD5 and 7 far too early? I think I will ovulate next Tues so am guessing it is.... WHat does anyone else do?

saz007 · 14/08/2008 10:38

BSL I loved Gossip Girl!! I thought I was a bit odd at first as I thought it was a teen show (or at least thats what DH calls it) but I dont care!! Hope the next season starts soon. My Sky+ must haves currently are Dexter, CSI, Spooks code 9 (which I'll admit I havent watched yet but I love Spooks - Rupert Penry-Jones - yum!)

Eth not TMI at all. We're planning on starting almost as soon as AF goes on her merry way this month! Apparently according to some website I found, and going on my last 5 cycles, I can be fertile from day 8 day 19 (actually it said from day 4 but I think that is pushing things a wee bit!!!) so I'm not taking an chances this month. Am planning on BDing every other day until after the ov time. I think we stopped a bit early this month....poor DH!!!

bluestarlavender · 14/08/2008 10:38

Eth - I would definitely go every other day from when AF is finished! Plus, (and this what another girl did on the Bonkers thread to get PG) from about 3 days before you think you'll OV go for once a day until the day after OV. I was trying this (no idea of success yet!) this month, but OV'ed much later than I thought I would! The important thing is to have lots of troopers around for as soon as the egg is released. If you start a little early or go a little late, then you won't miss the egg. Anyhow as I say, it worked for someone else, I don't know if it's going to work for me...but it might be worth a try if you and DH are okay about BDing 5 days in a row...

eth37 · 14/08/2008 10:44

Thanks saz and bsl. I still am not 100% sure when I ov. I was monitoring the old CM last month and the last day of EWCM was on CD17 -I hope this doesn't mean I actually ov on CD17 because with a 27 day cycle that would only be a 10 day LH phase and i read that is atually too short to implant.... So hopefully I get a couple of days EWCM after OV. Do you think this is possible?

bluestarlavender · 14/08/2008 10:50

Eth - it's very common to have a few days of EWCM after OV

BSL x

OP posts:
saz007 · 14/08/2008 10:53

TBH I don't know when I actually ov either. I dont feel any pain (I dont think) and I am still completely bamboozled by the whole CM thing!! I don't get a lot (sorry TMI I know and there's more!) and I don't think it changes much

BSL oooh that's good news. I might have to go for an every day session in the week I think ov occurs in....DH shouldn't mind too much Even if we're a bit out then the every other day should help, right?
