Hi guys, new thread for us to carry on!

Okay, nightmare day almost over!! Although I'm not leaving the office til 8pm tonight to try to catch up on stuff.

I work in business development and we had a proposal due at 2pm today into an electronic online system. Anyhow, we had everything in at 1.55pm and tried to submit and got a load of error messages, so had to go back and correct...long story short, by the time we fixed everything the electronic system had locked and wouldn't allow us to submit. I had to call the client and explain. It was all fine, but we had to put all our information into a Word doc and send it!! CRAZY day!

Anyhow, catch up time!!

Fairy - sorry your AF was so bad this month!! Any idea what caused it?

Wishin - It's weird you saying about the UK being a dream holiday! DH and I want to visit Canada pretty badly! I want to go to Churchill and see the polar bears! I'm in south east London in the UK...although nothing like East Enders.

Dawn - that's horrid dream!! I'm not surprised you needed cuddles this morning! As for your FF chart, I still can't see it as I go to the login page through your link. You need to set up a home page and post the link for that....shout if you need help setting it up!

Summer - whereabouts in Manchester? I have friends who live in Handworth...I love Alderley Edge!

Vix - Yay for clomid!! Such good news! Your bro's GF doesn't sound very nice. It would be awful if she ended up having fertility problems, so I'm surprised anyone can be that insensitive!

Wildfig - I'm loving your idea of giving GPs feedback on the bedside manner! Summer can you sow the idea where you work??
Anyhow, like I said earlier today, no symptoms either...but I've been a busy today to look for any to be honest!! I am hoping for a couple more BFPs from you guys soon though!!

Waves to everyone, sorry if I've missed anyone, but DH is coming to pick me up now!! yay, I don't have to stay here til 8pm!

BSL, I would love some advice in setting up my home-page please!!

Waves and kisses to everyone else. On CD15 now and BDd for the last 3 nights. Normally on a 35 day cycle but all my EWCM an OV pains have pointed to reverting back to a 28 day cycle which will be great, although does mean that we may have not BDd enough this month... Although think I OVd yesterday so the last 3 nights should have sent enough troops in.

Of course I'll probably find out now that they were all twinges that I was having and I'll actually OV next week, so we'll keep BDing every other night now and see what happens...

Still work unfortunately so need to get back to it.

Hope everyone is Ok today!!

hi all. I have just finished marking and am really tired so off to bed just wanted to pop in!

Dawn I have had similar dreams to that (usually when I'm stressed about other things and I usually walk in on the dirty deed!) I usually wake up weepy and then y the time Dh wakes up I am pretty mad and give him a good telling off and a non too subtle warning LOL. He finds it bizarre as he is really shy and just wouldn't do that (he gets more upset than I do!) anyway, just thought I'd let you know you're not alone. I have worked out I have dreams like that when I feel that everything is going pants. I guess that would be the WORST thing that could happen so strangely when I wake up and get over sulking it puts All my other 'problems' into perspective!

Anyway, I am literally fLling to sleep here but will speak to you all soon

summerbird · 17/09/2008 21:43

hi girls, BSL and wishin i havent heard of white peak but i too love Alderley Edge, i dont live too far from that (just outside of the 'golden triangle' tho my house is nowhere near that price range!) you could drive a mile down the road and double the price of property.

BSL we have had public swing that idea by us before, i would love to have a 'great doctor' database but they wont have it, shame really!

we had a lovely meal tonight and a cheeky BD! although i am 5DPO it might still have hung around! we managed a few around OV date so fingers crossed!

Hi Dawn,

Here's how to set up your home page...from the page with your chart, select sharing from the menu on the left hand side of the page, then select set up Homepage.

The address you need to post on MN is the first line item on the page.

To post your chart (at the moment you should only have 1), scroll down to Published charts. On the right hand side you need to select your chart and then click the box to add it. It should then move to the left hand box (selected charts).

I made sure it was in celsius and then in the privacy settings I've ticked the boxes I wanted people to be able to see - in my case all of them, so it's up to you. Then click save the settings. That's pretty much it!

I hope that makes sense. Shout if there's anything that doesn't make sense!!

BSL Its my endometriosis that makes my AF's so horrid. This was only the second since my latest treatment. The first was good, this one was horrid. My endo is wide spreabut the worst of it grows into my bladder so its painful when it fills and empties. Like peeing shard of glass....nice!! This month i have had that and the constant sensation that there is not enough room in my pelvis and its all trying to escape!!! Its starting to ease up now though so another couple of days and it should have passed. Fingers crossed there will be no AF next month. This was one of the things i was worried about with TTC. I normally run the pill together for 3 months at a time so i don't have to go through this for every month. I just hope TTC doesn't go on too long.

wishinanhopin · 18/09/2008 02:50

Hey ladies. Hope everyone had a great day. I've just laid down in bed (laptop) and so the hot flashes begin. Thats been the only negative side effect I've had from the Clomid. I've heard about blinding headaches, but thankfully, I've had none of that to speak of. It's funny I always imagined a hot flash was simply getting warm, but now I know they are indeed dreadful. It's like an oven turns on inside you. YUCK!
Blue Churchill, Manitoba is a really neat place. I've never been but I've friends who have seen the polar bears on a tour. They said it was quite an experience. We'll all have to meet up there someday with our little ones in tow!!

wishinanhopin · 18/09/2008 02:54

Also is East Enders a soap?? Like Corrie? The only British soap we get is Coro street, and I used to HATE it, but as of last year I started watching it and LOVE it. I feel like geeks and old dolls are the one ones here that watch it, but I can't help it, I got sucked in. LOL

heylottie · 18/09/2008 08:35

Hi girls. Gosh, pretty much everyone has had a difficult month, with work and wotnot - I hope September ends with some bfps to keep eveyones spirits up!
Fairywing - your AFs sound terrible. I thought I had bad period pain but nothing compared to you. You poor thing.

And Dawn - I am not a stalker promise! But I think I live really close to you - so when we DO have babies we have a ready made mother and baby group!

And talking of AF - she arrived this morning, two days early. The only benefit I can think of is that I haven't wasted a pregnancy test.

So - moving on to cycle 8. And waiting for my day 21 (now day 19 if that makes sense) blood tests results, which won't be accurate now anyway.

Happy Days!!!!

DawnAS · 18/09/2008 08:59

Heylottie,

So whereabouts are you at the moment? We're still in Chudleigh Knighton until we move...

So, news on the house, the Estate Agent called yesterday to say that they are 99% sure that the vendors are going to accept our offer. That's the good news, but now the not-so-good news.... Because of the announcement about HBOS this morning, I don't know now whether we will get the mortgage. Basically the mortgage that we want is with RBSG as they are the only bank that will let you use a personal loan as part deposit. We only have 5% at the moment and were going to borrow the other 5% on a personal loan.

If anyone knows anything about the impact of mergers, I'd like to know whether they will still continue to trade as before for the forseeable future? Any advice gratefully received....

summerbird · 18/09/2008 09:19

dawn i am so anxious for you now! would Lloyds TSB who are taking over HBOS honour the offer? sorry i dont know much about financial institutions and policies etc.

heylottie we are almost cycle buddies in that i am moving onto cycle 8 if AF arrives next week.

babydust and anti-recession dust for us all

heylottie · 18/09/2008 12:27

Hi Dawn, I am in sunny Brixham, so not too far!
Hi Summerbird - well I hope in a way we are not cycle buddies as I hope you get a BFP next week, but if not - great to know I am not alone. Maybe 8 times the charm? x

DawnAS · 18/09/2008 13:19

Hey all,

Panic over re the mortgage (thanks for your concern Summerbird)... I thought the Bank of Scotland and the Royal Bank of Scotland were the same thing, but apparently they're not.

We're getting our mortgage with "Royal Bank of Scotland" which is not affected... Phew!!!

Heylottie, I lived in Brixham for a while when I worked at Nortel. I loved it there!! I used to live in South Furzeham Road, doing a house-share with another girl from Nortel. I've also lived in Torquay, Kingskerswell and Kingsteignton, not forgetting Milton Keynes!!

Not that I get around... although DH probably wouldn't agree - ha ha !!

xx

makingafamily · 18/09/2008 13:23

Afternoon ladies

Dawn hope everything is ok with the mortgage, i have no idea about the impact of mergers

BSL Good Luck for DH's Tests

Lots of mid cyclers at the mo Good luck for lots of BFP's

Eek! Am i the only londoner on here?

I've set up a Fertility Friends thingy but need to start BBT which i always forget

summerbird · 18/09/2008 13:47

MAF i used to live in London, well Sutton which is strictly Surrey so i can be a virtual londoner!!

so i went to the hospital this morn, Am a bit bamboozled as she has told me that when they did their investigations in July they found both tubes blocked. I thought she said it was only the left one? Anyway regardless I am going to go for xray to know for sure, as she said that sometimes the tubes can spasm when under anaesthetic so I am keeping everything crossed that is what happened.

But on the other hand I am a bit concerned that if they really are blocked then we are stuffed so to speak! Am going shopping tonight for shoes - need retail therapy!

bluestarlavender · 18/09/2008 14:01

Popping on to say I'm a Londoner! SE...

Got my big boss talk in a min!! Peeing my pants!

OP posts:
makingafamily · 18/09/2008 14:24

Hey Summer

A colleague of me had a blocked tube and had acupuncture and now has a beautiful 1 year old boy Good luck for the xray

BSL Try not to pee yourself hun or u may find you spending the meeting explaining the puddle on the floor ;)

Ooh I'm Hackney, East London. Dont go South of the river very often as i get a rash

summerbird · 18/09/2008 14:34

thanks MAF i may consider acupuncture!

wishinanhopin · 18/09/2008 14:43

Summer keep your chin up. I don't know anyone personally who has had success with accupuncture for blocked fallopian tubes but I have read about it alot. I would try it for sure, like MAF said. Also if that doesn't work I do know a girl that had micro-surgery to attempt to repair the tubes and remove the blocked segment-she has 2 children now 3 yrs and 6 months.

Linwin · 18/09/2008 16:28

Grrr, I just typed a really long message and obviously done stupid and its not posted!

Anyway, news is I've had a job interview today, which went quite well but don't feel like I'm in the right frame of mind - still at least its progress.

MAF I am in SE London! Blackheath, and its so nice there.

Summerbird I echo what the other girls have said. I've definitely heard of these problems being overcome and ending up in lovely babies.

BSL I sympathise about AF

Dawn so exciting about your house. Fingers crossed you get the offer!

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx to everyone else

bluestarlavender · 18/09/2008 16:41

Hi everyone,

My chat with my boss went really well!! Much better than I hoped!! If all goes to plan, I may well be shifting into a new role in January!! YAY!! MAF - luckily it was a t-con, so no pudlle could be seen

Linwin - I'm in Chislehurst! I love Blackheath and Greenwich...it's only about a 10-15 min drive to Blackheath

Summerbird - I thought blocked fallopian tubes were fixable...? I was reading about a new treatment which is much less invasive, where they put dye in to see the blockage and then using a thin wire unblock the tube...anyhow, I think there's lots of suggestion of natural rememdies too. Here's the link:
http://www.babyworld.co.uk/information/trying/infertility_treatments/surgery.asp

Wishin - yup Eastender is another soap! I think you guys can get it there, but on rental from a DVD club

Big waves to everyone...I have to crack on with more work! having a very very busy week!

BSL x

OP posts:
heylottie · 18/09/2008 17:30

Have to say I have had lots of really positive things about accupuncture, summerbird - certainly it's something I would consider.
Has anyone tried chinese medicine? Have to say I am sceptical about this sort of thing but I may give it a go.

I have made an appointment to see the doc (in over a week, soonest I could get it) to talk through my blood results.

Apparently they are normal (but where they fall in the normal range I don't know) and my progesterone level (day 21 ish) is 30.4.

I have skim read the web for whether that is ok - I THINK that is borderline. Can anyone enlighten me?

Dawn I am 1road down from South Furzeham! Small small TTC world.

Good luck with the job Linwin when will you hear?

xxx

Vix67 · 18/09/2008 19:32

heylottie my blood levels last month were 34 and the doctor said anything over 30 means you are having a normal ovulatory cycle. Another girl on another thread said she fell PG on level 32. So think u should be fine!! Are you on clomid, is that why they are monitoring your blood tests??

Summerbird i hope everything goes ok with your tubes xx When is ur xray??

Hi everyone else xx

summerbird · 18/09/2008 20:12

Thank you one and all for your supportive messages, i have had a good blub to DH tonight (i am also v stressed at work too which doesnt help). But you have all been lovely to thank you! DH ran me a bath with candles and had a glass of wine ready for me!!

BSL that treatment you mention is what i am going to have, they are going to inject the dye, do an xray and if possible try and prod the blockage away (ouch) and thank you for the link too, i shall check it out.

dawn good news about the mortgage - phew! i am v excited about your offer too.

so is nobody near Altrincham then? we will just have to have a big meet up in the middle when we all have our babas!
