jeepney is that bonifacio as was? if so hi there i was wondering where you were hiding!

bluestarlavender · 16/09/2008 14:20

Wishin - I am so going to go into rant mode now!! My poor DH has already had it!! I am just so frustrated at the NHS (sorry Summerbird - I think your DH works for them!)

When DH went to see the GP to ask about undescended testes...she turned around to her computer and was effectively online looking up the same websites as we had already done!! They don't seem to know anymore than a lay person half the time. I was in A&E earlier this year with an acute kidney infection and I had diagnosed myself before anyone else had. I was actually sent away on the Monday after being told I didn't have one, then Monday afternoon was told I did. Tuesday morning I was admitted to hospital and they finally came and told me I did have one at 8pm that night!

I know I work in the pharmaceutical industry, so do have access to more info than some, but I've learned more about TTC from being on MN, than I ever would have from my GP. So to conclude my rant...Wishin - you're probably best off printing out the info on Clomid and giving to your GP! Grrrrr!

Anyhow, rant over...so I can go back to nice calm Bluestar now.

Flirty - definite congratulations on the lunch upchuck! I'm happy it made you happy!!

Jeepney - I was wondering where you'd got to!! How's things? and how was the holiday??

MAF - how's you?? Did AF properly arrive??

Big waves to everyone!!

Just to let you know, DH took his sample in this morning and we've found out he's not going to get the results back for a few weeks not days!! So that's the current cause for my NHS rant!

Anyhow, 4DPO and I'm really glad I have some friends to hold hands with!! It's my birthday on 25th and my test day (according to FF) is 26th...no idea how I'm going to hold out til the day after my birthday!! It wuld be the best birthday present ever to get a BFP! Not holding my breath though...

hi all just checkin in. I'm so sorry a lot of you are and feeling down. BSL I don't trust doctors much at all (I still haven't been to see mine!) but like I said, I may go I. Armed with my MN knowledge in 6months (well that would make it three now-god!I can't believe I stopped taking it June [shocked] ) my experience is that they often don't know what they are on about. I do appreciate it's a difficult job and they can't just 'guess' by then surely the admin sides should speed up with relation to test results etc! Mine were lost once but I was informed everythigg was ok. About a year later I received a call from a new doctor who had found them and was really concerned. Resultin in me spending months and months on horrible pills

Ok- rant over! LOL

I am really busy at work at the moment and a bit fed up as I still haven't caugh up on all of my washing/drying! I known it sounds mad but I just can't relax in chaos and as a result I have not been sleeping well. I had a crazy dream last night that I had used my free test and was pg-is that a sign?? LOL I was really confused when I woke up as to whether I had actually done it or not!

bluestarlavender · 16/09/2008 18:45

Crunchy - I'm sorry to say I wouldn't take the dream as a sign...I dreamt I took a HPT last cycle (during my weird dream phase) and it was positive, then in my dream I dreamt I realised it was a dream so woke up and took another and it was also positive...then I really woke up and none of it was real. Obviously took a HPT straight away and BFN.

Anyhow, off to do some dinner for me and DH!

LOL I thought as much!

summerbird · 16/09/2008 19:27

dont worry BSL in my and my DH's current roles we would both agree with you that Drs are as much use as a chocolate fireguard,
i was just jumping on this thread to ask you how you were getting on! but at least you will know soon.

My hospital appointment has been brought forward to Thursday, it is to discuss follow up from my laparoscopy and for the consultant to decide whether to give me an xray to see if my left tube is blocked.

bluestarlavender · 16/09/2008 20:21

Summerbird - LOL! I like the concept of the chocolate fireguard. DH's sister works for the NHS and is scary defensive if I say anything negative about GPs etc. She bit my head off the other day! I think I have a problem from when I was about 20 and nearly died from a ruptured appendix. Two night doctors came out over a few days and told me I had food poisoning. I just don't trust doctors very much nowadays.

Anyhow, I really hope things go well for you on Thursday!! How do you feel about everything? Did you just have a lap to one tube? I have to admit to being a bit clueless about this stuff...

BSL x

OP posts:
summerbird · 16/09/2008 20:53

I dont mind announcing on this thread that my job involves striking doctors off so i am sceptical about every single Dr i see and make sure i look up their registration every time! on the plus side it makes me really appreciate good Drs as i just see the negative ones in my job!

I am feeling OK about Thursday, she did a lapo because i passed out at work in March with period pains (not being dramatic but i wouldnt be surprised if it was an early MC as we had just started TTC) and have had problems for years, when i told her we were TTC she arranged a full on root around! they found a cyst and two polyps which they removed but also tried to look at both my tubes but only succeeded with the right one as the left one was either playng silly buggers or was actually blocked. she did say i should be ok conceiving as i always ovulate.

dont worry about being clueless, i had to google it before the op as i didnt have a clue either!

I have a non TTC related 'hurrah' moment, i have just found out that my beloved Granddad does NOT have bowel cancer! He had to have all kinds of operations and tests last week, it just turns out he has IBS - thank F for that!!! I love him so much and would be devastated if it was the C word, but - hoorah!

Linwin · 16/09/2008 21:57

Hello everyone,

Happy to report I am very much cheered up today - everything is still a mess but I've had so much support from friends and family and you guys have been so amazing thanks a lot!
Also the stress means I've had zero appetite so I've even lost a couple of pounds

summerbird really good news about your granddad

Flirty glad to hear the sickness has returned and fingers crossed for you everything will be ok.

My sis (the one who didn't know she was PG until 7 months ) is due to give birth this week - so excited for her and can't wait to see my new little godson or goddaughter

MAF hope all is well and bluestar pooper about how long you guys have to wait for results from the doctor - any more symptoms to spot?

Big hugs to all

xxxxxx

bluestarlavender · 17/09/2008 07:46

Morning everyone,

Well, 5DPO and no symptoms whatsoever! TBH I don't really expect there to be. But this month, I'm actually enjoying looking for them. All this stuff with DH and sperm tests etc have really taken the pressure off. I don't expect to get PG, so if it happened it would just be a nice surprise!

Linwin - so glad you are feeling brighter and lighter!

Summerbird - oooh striking GPs off...that must be hard. Despite what I think of some GPs, I don't envy what you do. I know it's for the good of patients everywhere, but it must also be hard to take someone's livelihood away.

Wildfig and Summerbird - any new symptoms for you guys??

Flirty - how did the appointment go?? Hope you're still enjoying the bouts of MS.

Dawn - Any news on the house?

I was listening to 5Live on the drive in this morning (in the office again today) and it's so doom and gloom! DH and I decided we should try to be better with our money a couple of weeks ago and this morning we passed a Lidl on the way in and we're going to try shopping there for a change this week. I've also been very good and done searches for all our insurance policies and utilities to make sure we have the cheapest options around. Any money saving tips gratefully received over here!!

Anyhow, I hope everyone has a good day today! I am having a big chat with my boss as I'm not very happy at the moment - unpleasant politics and internal fighting. I have a few plans for where I'd like to move my career, so wish me luck!

summerbird · 17/09/2008 08:36

good luck BSL i have a similar situation at work which is why i am applying for another, i am even prepared to risk missing out on mat pay for it. my job can be hard but the Drs who are struck off usually either have a serious criminal conviction (you wouldnt believe some of the sickos we have), serious sexual harrassment or are so bad at their job and have no insight into their failings, we do our best to rehabilitate the ones who want to be helped though. As i say i mainly see the negative in Drs in my job which is another reason why i want to leave!

Anyway enough about me! linwin i am to see you have cheered up today, keep up the positive mental attitude and you will be just fine!

Vix67 · 17/09/2008 11:17

Morning Everyone!!

I have just wrote a really long post and then it wouldnt send and it hasnt saved aaaahhh!!

Linwin sorry 2 hear about ur situation, im glad ur feelin a bit more positive today!!

Summerbird hurrahh for ur Grandad. I lost my Grandad to bowel cancer 8 years ago, and it was truly awful. I was very close to him and still miss him andthink about him evry day.

Flirty how did ur appointment go??

Summerbird Wildfig and BSL how are my cycle buddies doing today??!! Well i have had no symptoms apart from one sore nipple, and a sore throat.... think i may be clutching at straws!! Also i dont think we bd'd enought this month so not too hopeful for a BFP

Anyway I had some good news this morning, i got my blood test results back from my CD21 progesterone test, and it was level 98!! Last month it was 34. so it means the clomid tablets are definetley working!!

summerbird · 17/09/2008 11:46

vix hoooorah for clomid! fantastic news - you go girl!!

i lost my other granddad to BC 10 years ago and it was hard, so i do sympathise with you. x

i have no symptoms whatsoever, i had a dream last night that i had implantation bleed and was panicking! then when i woke up i thought it was really happening! we are all having crazy dreams at the moment arent we?

Vix67 · 17/09/2008 12:17

ha ha yeah, now FAR TMI but i dreamt last night that my SIL ( who i dont really get on with ) had left her sanitary pad in my bin and when i seen it it had brown spotting on it, so i took it to my mam to see if she thought she was pregnant!! Very Strange!!!!

SIL ( well bro's gfriend ) is not a v nice person. She loves the fact i am having problems conceiving. She is always making sarc. comments and saying things like "ooooh i might b pregnant" etc etc.

wildfig · 17/09/2008 12:35

I have zero symptoms today and my chart is doing exactly what it did last month when I wasn't pregnant either, so am not holding out any hopes, to be honest! We probably didn't BD enough either, although Fertility Friend generously awarded us a 'good' on our intercourse analyser (honestly, if you're not on Fertility Friend, GET ON IT. Any traces of romance connected with the whole baby-making process will soon be stripped away, as your efforts are marked out of ten and you're told off for sleeping through your alarm and taking your temperature late. It's like having your GP nagging you through cyberspace.)

linwin I'm crossing my fingers that out of this chaos comes something new and better for you. And that summerbird and BSL have career dust as well as babydust!

And a general at the GPs. I've had some great GPs and some crashingly insensitive ones - if only there was some way of rating them in public, like on Amazon. Then they'd get their bedside manners polished up.

wildfig · 17/09/2008 12:39

Oh, and I had a dream the other night that I'd gone through a 40mph speed camera on the M40 roadworks at 72mph, and got 6 points. I even had that very specific feeling you get when you think, 'Damn, if only I could go back 2 minutes and have this not happen...' When I woke up, I was THRILLED. So, please, for the same of my licence, let's just pretend dreams don't predict anything, ok?!

wishinanhopin · 17/09/2008 12:44

Hi Ladies. Good Morning from Canada!!!I get the impression alot of you gals are in UK?? I could be WAY off base there.
Anyways. Not sure when I ovulated. According to the clomid calculator it was between 6th and 11th of September. No symptoms yet, but maybe it's too early yet? I can say I am absolutely exhausted. Like tired ina way I've never been. And last week near the end of the week I was cramping really bad, liek i was sure AF was coming, but nada. Now the cramping has subsided. this morning I had a pimple under my nose, which has happened about once in my life at age 14 (for real). So thats about all the symptoms I got. even with those I feel like I'm reaching, and looking for things that may not be there.

DawnAS · 17/09/2008 13:39

Hey girls,

I had a really horrible dream last night too! I think it was because BDing is starting to feel like a chore, as someone else commented on...

So my dream was that my DH, was BDing with some other blonde woman NEXT TO ME IN BED!! But weirdly, I had a friend sitting the other side of me in bed (???) who told me not to interrupt them because it was Ok for them to be doing that!!! But do you know, the worst thing was that he was looking really lovingly at her. OMG!! I had to have a cuddle with him this morning before he went to work because it made me feel really insecure....

So, have no idea what's happening with my chart. I'm on Fertility Friend but haven't paid for the upgrade. I think I may have OVd yesterday as I'd been having EWCM since Sunday and then real pains yesterday. I also had a temp dip yesterday, from 36.5 to 36.4 and then today back up to 36.5 again. But I really don't know what I'm looking for so I've posted my chart on "here" .

xx

summerbird · 17/09/2008 13:43

oh dawn you poor thing! i had a similar dream like that about DH once and he needed to give me lots of hugs too!

vix scuse the french expletives but your SIL sounds like a right bitch!!

wishin yep most of us are in UK with exception of jeepney you will have to tell us tales of Canada as i have never been but would love to.

bluestarlavender · 17/09/2008 14:14

Popping on very quickly!! having the day from hell, so can't reply to everyone...just wanted to say to Wishin - sounds really positive!!! Fingers crossed! Yay!!!

Canada is a pretty great place to live. I live in the Maritimes in New Brunswick in a city called Saint John. The only downfall here is a lack of resources. I may have to travel to Moncton, if my unexplainable infertility continues. But it'll all be worth it.
I'm so jealous of all you gals in the UK. That's me and DH dream holiday. Is life there really like Coronation Street LOL???

summerbird · 17/09/2008 14:39

Thankfully not wishin i live in Manchester and sadly the city seems to hang onto the fact that they spawned Corrie and Take That/Oasis and they aint ever gonna shut up about it!! On the plus side we do have the Peak District on our doorstep, possibly the most beautiful piece of countryside ever.

wishinanhopin · 17/09/2008 15:04

Summer, are you in white peak?

fairywing · 17/09/2008 17:49

Hi ladies, Haven't been around for a week or so, so congrats to Saz

I'm on day 9 of my cycle now. Had a horrid time with AF this time so am still recovering a bit but about to start bd'ing again. Unfortunatley i have to go away on a course for a couple of days next week, right when i'm meant to be bd'ing so i'm a bit about that. Will have to put extra effort in before and after i go .
