I am now CD24, AF due Tues.... If we had managed it this month it would be from v early in the cycle - CD12 - and OVed CD16 so I am not too hopeful. This is why I need to temp!!

MichaelaS · 29/08/2008 11:04

Hello all!

Well summerbird has much better willpower than me! I am on CD30 today and AF expected anytime between 2 days ago and the next week - no signs yet so I was getting all excited and did a test last night - negative.

Aaargh, so frustrating, there is a small chance its a false negative due to not enough hormone, but it's probably just that i'm on a long cycle. Haven't got used to predicting it since I came off the pill, have been anywhere between 28 and 36 days so far.

So i'll be off to Boots after work to stock up on more tests so I can take them next time my willpower crumbles. Will test again on Sunday if no signs of imminent AF by then.... (actually i'll probably give in and test again tomorrow, my hormones seem to be in league with Boots shareholders to make them profit!)

good luck everyone!

m

MichaelaS · 29/08/2008 11:05

Aah, bad luck summerbird, our posts crossed there.

Better luck next time I say!

saz007 · 29/08/2008 11:11

Good morning all!

God I'm glad it's Friday today!!!!!

Oh Summerbird for AF showing her ugly face at your door. But good on you girl for having that attitude I've decided that PMA is the ONLY way to go from now on

Oooh and good news about your BIL - that's cool!

I wonder if it's too early to have a virtual vino? If not, it's my round girls

eth37 · 29/08/2008 11:12

How annoying summerbird. But there's always the aclohol-flavoured silver lining!

And a June baby would be cute. That's my reckoning. Although as a teacher, it would be baaaaad, as I would not get full pay over the summer holidays!! Is it awful to think like that?!

saz007 · 29/08/2008 11:16

Sorry how rude am I?

Helloooooooooo to vix, eth, michaela, wildfig, crunchy* - hope you're enjoying your hols lady!! Full trip report on your return

Louder hellos to maf, dawn, linwin, lottie, fairywing

Really shouting to say hi to bonifacio and bsl - we're not at all of your hols

Phew! The groups getting nice and big now, I've only just realised.

Linwin · 29/08/2008 13:21

summerbird sorry to hear about AF. I am taking a leaf out of your book and thinking positively too.

eth a June baby would be wonderful. I don't think its bad to think like that - for me it would be good as I'd miss out the busiest time of the year at work. Oops. I definitely shouldn't be thinking like that but whats the point in having 6 months off work in the quieter part of the year?

saz007 · 29/08/2008 13:33

A June baby would be great, actually it would be good at any time of year! But it would be good to be off in the summertime (I can understand the teacher's not agreeing, esp if you dont get the same pay - [shocked emoticon])

At least in June it should be good weather to get outside

I was on the train on the way home yesterday and there was a little baby boy sitting opposite me - totally cute!

heverhoney1 · 30/08/2008 14:36

hello all. I Just wanted to pop in to say I hope you have a frolicking good weekend

BubbaP · 30/08/2008 15:06

Hi girls!

Hope you're all well.

I need some advice please... My AF arrived just over a week ago, it was normal and finished about 3 days ago.

But today I've noticed some spotting and I'm wondering what it could be...Any thoughts?

thanks! xxx

fairywing · 30/08/2008 17:16

Hi everyone waves i'm, back from my holiday. Had a lovely time . Just about to settle down with a cuppa and read what i have missed on here - hope everyone is well and the babydust is working its magic. As i said before i really don't think we timed things right for it to happen for us this month but we'll see. AF due in around a weeks time ish - Friday woud put me on a 28 day cycle so we'll see. I have been weeing a lot and i am absloutely knackered but i think thats more to do with camping than anything else. I'm just quite excited to actually be on my first 2ww regardless of the outcome at the moment - perhaps i'm a bit odd like that though!! Right i'm off to see what all you ladies have been up to...take care xx

summerbird · 30/08/2008 17:19

just got back from Birmingham, the festival was fab and we wish we stayed for the full weekend, my BIL was great and got all the kids dancing at the front of the stage. me and DH were sat in ths sunshine thinking what a cool uncle he would be and how much the kids were enjoying the festival, we have decided to make it an annual thing (rather than muddy glastonbury) as it was really kiddie friendly and chilled out.

I got my free clearblue test today and so am hoping to use it next month, DH was asking when we can start BDing with the preseed, blimey let me get AF out the way first!!

bubba i really dont know what thats all about, it could be new implantation spotting or remains of AF? it is a bit soon to test though.

Happy weekend everyone!

babymadness · 30/08/2008 18:40

hi ladies...can i join in? i have been ttc for years now...BOOO! its my first cycle of clomid and i'm on day 19 of the cycle. when i went for scan on day 14 they said i had three big folicls on one ovary and one on the other...all very exciting except...i thought i'd ovulted two days previous due to pain and stretchy mucus...(SORRY>>>TMI!)Is it possible that i could have ovulated but the folicle that burst wasnt there anymore? do all the folicles go away when one bursts? i'm confused and anxious! i'll know on tue but i'm starting to lose the plot!!ANY ADVICE???

BubbaP · 31/08/2008 11:22

Hello ladies

First of all welcome to the girls who are new to this thread: michaela, linwin and babymadness.

Some of you may have seen my post yesterday asking what could have caused spotting a few days after the end of my AF...
Well, I decided to try the free digital home PG test this morning... and got a BFP!!!

It hasn't sunk in at all yet - my AF arrived as normal a week ago, so I accepted that I wasn't PG, but I tested this morning and it showed that I'm PG! (haven't BD'd yet this cycle)

So I'm off to the GP tomorrow to check that everything is OK. I'll keep you posted.

bubba xxx

summerbird · 31/08/2008 12:14

wow bubba that is amazing! maybe you have just had some implantation bleed?? do keep us posted at what the doc says - that is 3 BFP's in a couple of weeks!! how exciting.

welcome babymadness sorry i cant help with your question but keep us posted on what happens on tuesday, we are a supportive bunch and the girls on here are fab.

off to have a blissful day of making cards, hopefully DH keeps out of my way! we sat out in the garden last night with a bbq and our chiminea burning, it felt like the first day of summer!!

hope you are all enjoying your weekend.

crunchynutter · 31/08/2008 12:26

wow! Congratulations Bubapp!! I really hope it goes well a the doctors.

I keep missing loads! As I have said before though, you pregnant ladies can't leave til we're all there with you-even if the little ones are 2!

Ok so holiday was fab! I'm short we walked the brecon beacons, devils bridge, élan valley rhossili bay and spent everynight in the hot tub sipping champagne

Since we have been back I have had endless amounts of washing dog mud out of clothes and then spent yesterday at a wedding!

I mentally preparing for work now though, have spent £40 on stickers and charts And am off to ikea now to by class sized plastic boxes! I will be an emotional wreck after 2weeks back though regardless of how prepared I try to be!!

babymadness · 31/08/2008 13:29

hi again....congratulations Bubapp...it must feel amazing....wow.....i really cant imagine it.

thanks all for your lovely comments...we'll see ey?

Crunchynutter...i take it you're a teacher...tell me more! i'm a head of performing arts in secondary school...start a new school on tue....very nervous and really not in any state to think about new job at mo as only have babies on the brain!!!

DawnAS · 31/08/2008 13:44

Hi All,

Welcome to the new people and a massive Congratulations to Bubbap!! Just to put your mind at rest, apparently it's common to have a normal period even when you're pregnant the first month. It's amazing actually how common these things are. And since you had that, I would imagine you may be prone to spotting aswell from the sound of it, which again is very common! You only need to worry if you have bad cramping with it. But remember that light cramping and twinges are normal as things move about.

So, looks like the AF witch got me as I've had a bit of browny CM this morning. I got that with the implantation bleed last time but it doesn't feel like it did. It feels like AF this time.

A bit gutted really as they say your most fertile the month after an MC so I was keeping everything crossed...

But to cheer myself up I ordered a digital basal thermometer off of Ebay this morning, so I'm with you this month Eth!!

I guess I just need to wait until CD1 now as I often get a few days of brown CM before AF completely kicks in.

Anyway, I hope that everyone is Ok and fab that we've got another graduate!! How are you doing Flirty and Hever?

xx

crunchynutter · 31/08/2008 14:27

hey babymadness I teach secondary English (although my typing is atrocious cos I'm always on my iPhone and nver proof read!it's got an american spell check thing too!)

I don't want to go bck now. Ikea had sold out of my boxes and i'm not prepared now !! I'll be in panic mode tomorrow! Where about do you live then? eth teaches too and was back last Tuesday if I remember correctly. I teach in walsall LEA.

I don't know bout you but I find it really difficult to be non commital when people ask when were having children (I think cos I'm young and fairly newly wed people presume!). My form group asked me not to have kids cos they don't want me to leave them like everyone else did makes me feel guilty! Xx

heverhoney1 · 31/08/2008 15:33

bubap soooo happy for you!!!
