summerbird · 24/08/2008 11:21

MAF i have been meaning to ask you - which one of your boys is going to be the biodaddy? is it the one in the checky shirt or bright blue tshirt? they are both kinda cute!!

Vix67 · 24/08/2008 11:50

Morning Everyone,

Heverhoney CONGRATULATIONS!!!! I am sooooo happy for you, you must be over the moon!! I had been waiting for your message!!

BSL I am soooo sorry about you nasty AF arriving. But try and enjoy your holiday the best you can and do everything that you wouldn't of been able to do if you were pg.

MAF I have had a look on the net and they are cheaper..... thanks!!

Heylottie Welcome to the thread!! But be warned it's addictive!! I would defo go to the docs and let them know you have been trying for over a year. I went to the docs because i was spotting all of the time and suspected something wasnt right. I was also doing the OV sticks with no definite darker line. They sent me for a laporoscopy and found i have mild endometriosis, and also wasn't ovulating properly. (They found this by blood tests ) Anyway to cut a long story short, they have now put me on clomid to help me ovulate properly. It is my first month on them and I have had some more blood tests and have ovulated properly this month!!

Don't think i have been lucky enough to fall pg first time, as Im now on day29 of cycle and started spotting a couple of days ago. My af pains are killing me today so think the nasty af is defo going to arrive today!!

Bonifacio have a great holiday!! xx

Wildfig fingers crossed these are symptoms and we will get another BFP on our lucky thread!!

Summerbird ha ha about the clearblue error!! How excited did we all get

Well i'm gonna go and do some housework, i really wish my af would either arrive or not because this is torture!! Even though im getting af pains im still thinking ' well i might be....... ' aaaaaaahhhhhh

makingafamily · 24/08/2008 13:59

Raises a glass

DawnAS · 25/08/2008 11:50

Hey girls,

Well I hope that you're all well and WELCOME to heylottie. When I started the first First TTC thread a few months ago, I never imagined how many wonderful girls would get together and share the most difficult but happy times of their lives. You really have come to the right place!!

So, sorry BSL that the witch got you (nasty cow!! ), but you'll get there hun - 3rd month lucky hey?!!

makingafamily, is the honeymoon period still in full flow?! When are you starting the first month of TTC?

Hi to all the other lovely ladies and for those that got their AF. But here's lots of babydust to get us all through!!

* *

So, my back is now better (again...) I don't know what cured it this time, it obviously untrapped itself.

Still no sign of first AF after the MC and think I've OVd so I guess I might be in the 2ww. Not sure though as everything feels different to normal. Still got painful (.)(.) which I never normally have but they've been like that since I was PG last time so maybe things are still settling down. Strange since if you take it from conception I've been NOT PG since the MC longer than I was PG!! Oh well.

I hope all you girls have a lovely day. We're having a barby this afternoon at my friend's house as she has a lovely 150ft back garden which our lovely Tilly (Labrador) loves!!

Catch up with you all next week.

xxxxx

fairywing · 25/08/2008 13:52

Hi again ladies
We are off camping tomorrow morning so i miht not be on again before we go - back again on Saturday. I am now pretty sure i ov'd yesterday. Pleanty of EWCM and then none today. We only managed bd'ing this morning so i am a little disappointed but ah well i guess i'm on the 2ww from now then so AF due a bit later than I thought probably a 32ish day cycle not 28 ad im on day 18 today. Anyway not holding out much hope really this month. Good luck to everyone else and see you when i get back

crunchynutter · 25/08/2008 15:48

hi all! I just thought I would join you for a bank holiday drink (crunchy slips off quietly with a bottle of wine...)

I am on holiday but have managed to get a signal and have spent most of the morning catching up! I have missed loads! Congratulations pregnant ladies!!!

Our holiday is fantastic though ( my husband and I are loving the hot tub!) we took our alfie (my lab) to the beach yesterday and he loved it. He looked so happy!

Anyway, I better go-just letting you know I'm still here and have my fingers crossed for everyone. I will be back!!

crunchy xx

summerbird · 25/08/2008 16:44

oi crunchy get back here with that vino.....!

i am on 11DPO today but only CD23 so am confused as to whether AF is due on Thursday/Friday or Saturday/Sunday. I am never usually more than a 28 day cycle and sometimes less to if the witch is not here by Monday i shall test then.

I cant tell either way at the mo, i felt crap after 2 glasses of wine last night (soooo not like me) but then again i had also polished off a packet of Maltesers (are you guys beginning to see a wine/maltesers pattern with me yet..?) however today i had a coffee and it didnt taste weird at all. Maybe i am looking too hard for signs, but currently other than the wine thing i cant tell anything different. I was talking to a PG mate a couple of weeks ago and she said she knew pretty much as soon as she conceived as her whole body felt different, but then again - flirty - didnt you say you havent had any symptoms yet?

I sooo want this now, i am boring myself talking to DH about it! Thankfully he is as obsessed as me about it (he wont let us use the preseed until i am in peak OV time!!)

fairywing have a fab camping holiday, hope you have better luck with the weather than we did.

Dawn thanks for the baby dust! It does sound about right that you are on the 2WW, i know it is different circumstances but when i had my laporoscopy the nurse said my periods would be all over the place for a coupla months but they settled back to normal straight away. I hope its the same for you.

Right-o crunchy pour me another glass of red sweetie i am back at work tomorrow after almost two weeks off so need to get hammered!!

summerbird · 25/08/2008 16:48

ps - not sure if i got this from our thread or not but this is a useful little 'Top Ten Signs of Pregnancy' link go here

wildfig · 25/08/2008 18:26

Hello, holiday girls! DH and I celebrated the bank holiday in traditional British fashion by going to a car dealership to look at estate cars to accommodate our dog (pending) and our (so far imaginary) baby. The salesman was very young-looking, which only made me and DH feel even more glum about the realisation that we were trading up from our usual GTi to something more 'mature'. I think we're going to compromise by opting for something with tinted windows and more horsepower than we strictly need.

I have a cautionary Watchdog style tale for this Bank Holiday teatime - for anyone else who stockpiled those First Response ovulation sticks with the free Early pregnancy test when Boots had the 2-for-1 offer on last month. I felt so rubbish on Saturday (8 DPO) with the metallic taste/fatigue thing that I did a test when I got in, and after about thirty seconds I got two lines! I stood there looking at it in mild shock, then when it didn't change, phoned my mum, since DH was out. She was v excited, and started going on about names and cots, and how she'd known when I refused the fifth bacon sandwich, etc. I called DH a few times, couldn't get him, and was about to call him a third time, when I checked the stick again and the second line had VANISHED! VANISHED after ten minutes! I got straight onto the interweb, Googling frantically (what did we do before the internet? Seriously?) and apparently - on the POAS site - it's a registered problem with some of those FR early tests, that the positive result can appear then vanish, and you're supposed to consider it negative. I was a bit , then kind of , then kind of at the fact I was testing far too soon anyway.

I did a test yesterday (9DPO) and it was negative. But then I had a tiny bit of spotting, plus some rashy spots, and I've still got the metallic taste, so I don't know. My nipples seem pretty noncommital. I'm never late, so I guess I'll know by Thursday...

summerbird I'm doing that 'hmm? coffee? different?' thing too! I'm so stupid, though, because I always tell myself it does, and then DH points out I'm drinking decaff. Maybe we should combine our symptoms??

hello!! to everyone else [waves]

makingafamily · 25/08/2008 20:42

Oh why do Bank Holiday weekends go so fast

We got up at 5am this morning and done a car boot which was great and very theraputic! I can't believe the crap that people will buy but at least we've rid ourselves of a load of carp

Well ClearBlue monitor is still saying high but no peak yet and no +OPK's but have started yoghurt potting. The boys popped in on their way to Madge and then in again on their way back

BE WARNED TMI TO FOLLOW!

Was quite funny laying there with my ass elevated on the front room floor, syringe still in, blanket trying to retain some dignity with bio daddy feeding me vino through a straw. Yes, i know not the ideal picture of motherhood but some things need to be accompanied by a VERY large glass of wine. Well i guess sometime soon i may be officially starting my first 2ww

Hope everyone has had a lovely Bank Holiday and here's to a happy BD'ing/Yoghurt Potting week ahead

makingafamily · 25/08/2008 20:44

note to self, read messages before posting

At the car boot we got rid of loads of crap NOT carp. Actually we didnt take any fish with us!!!! lol

DawnAS · 25/08/2008 21:15

maf - PMSL about your attempt and TTC!! If it works for you love, we're all going to try it that way - ha ha -

Just been to a friends for an indoor barbecue (well, saves worrying about the weather!) and had two glasses of wine. My first drink for a few weeks!!

Hope everyone else has had a lovely bank holiday!!

Catch up in the week.

xxx

summerbird · 25/08/2008 21:37

MAF as i have said before, you will have some cracking stories to tell your child about their conception!!! i loved that one, i too shall be demanding a glass of wine through a straw!

hey Dawn we have a carport and had an indoor bbq in the pelting down rain for summer solstice - it was loads of fun!!

i too can believe this has gone so fast, i have had a lovely holiday break and am dreading going back to the byatches tomorrow, send me good vibes everyone...

makingafamily · 26/08/2008 09:45

Sending Good Vibes to everyone this morning

I really dislike Tuesdays after Bank Holidays and this one is NO better! Me and DP are still living between two homes! Yes most people would have sorted this out prior to getting married and TTC but oh no not us. We like to do things in the most back to front way possible! (Well actually thats just me!!!) Finally got back to my flat last night, got up this morning and i have left my work bag at DP's, including glasses and diary ARGHHHHHHHH

Estate agents (apologies in there are any on mumsnet) are liars! They advertise all these properties but when you call to view them none of them actually exist ARGHHHHHHHH But they do have something similar and by similar i mean, smaller, in a different area and more money!!

Rant over

so anyway, how is everyone doing today?

makingafamily · 26/08/2008 09:56

Dawn PMSL - I can see it now if this does work us all you lot saying to DP's.

Blue Peter Style "Here's one i made early" "Now this is how we're going to try it this month" Pulling out syringe, yoghurt pot and glass of wine with straw lol

Vix67 · 26/08/2008 14:40

Hi Everyone,

Hope you have all recovered from the Bank Hol Wkend!!

Wildfig i am so sorry about the pg test, i would have been devastated too!! But you never know you still may get a BFP this month!!

Well my AF has finally arrived this morning, so am feeling a bit down in the dumps today!!
Had done a PG test early this morning too which had said negative so wasn't getting my hopes up but still feel sad!!

Anyway I am going to try and stay positive and try again next month!! So fingers crossed September maybe be our month!!

xx

summerbird · 26/08/2008 15:34

vix about AF - methinks i will be joining you at the weekend as i am feeling no different and still enjoying coffee!

My work day is rubbish....... but am trying to be positive!

eth37 · 26/08/2008 17:48

Hey guys - I'm back in the UK!!Missed you lots!! Just about to read and catch up on all the news... XXX

wildfig · 26/08/2008 18:44

I think I'm out this month too - I'm spotting, and my temperature has dropped right down (although I've slept in four different places this month with wildly varying heating), so all my symptoms are probably just signs of basic ill health. Apparently folic acid can cause Funny Mouth Taste: how mean and ironic is that?!

Glass of wine/straw/pipettes and cushions are the way to go, definitely!

summerbird · 26/08/2008 19:38

allo there eth we missed you too! welcome back

wildfig but it aint over till TEW sings

i went to the gym tonight and i can usually do a 5k run on the treadmill (now dont go getting all impressed, i am not a gym freak - have only been doing this for a couple of months!) but i couldnt even make 2.5k - now my heart said it is a PG symptom but my head said it is 2 weeks of lack of exercise and cake (oh and a liddle bit of redvino )

Vix67 · 26/08/2008 19:43

Summerbird and wildfig you never know , i will keep everything crossed that both your af's don't arrive!!

I though i would update the list so we can all see where we are at:

eth , crunchy and lottie i think you need to add your dates on there too. I'm really sorry if ive missed anyone else out . . . .
