Hi Bellie,

Thanks for your message, although I've just been to the bath and then went to the loo and the CM now seems to be thinner and red tinged, have you had this aswell or is yours just brown?

It's exactly what I had the first day of my Implantation Bleed....

Still not really any cramping though...

Bellie · 27/07/2008 18:45

Dawn, sorry, not had any red tinge, apart from the bleed (and it was definately a bleed rather than cm) that I had. It probably is implantation and the fact that you are not cramping or in pain is a plus as well. xx

detoxdiva · 27/07/2008 19:12

Dawn - sorry you are worried. It sounds like something I experienced with dd.

When I was about 6 weeks pg I noticed some reddish tinged cm one morning. I called the mw and she said while any 'bleeding' is not 'normal' in pg, it is in fact quite common. She advised me to go to the early pg unit at my hosp where I had a scan.

As it was so early they could see the sac, but no heartbeat, so I had to wait and go back the next week, and all was well when I returned.

If you are worried at all please phone you mw in the morning and go along to your early pg unit. Their job is to put your mind at ease and they won't make you feel like you're wasting their time (like I though I was!!). I am sure everything is fine but you will feel so much better if they can check you over.

HumphreysCorner · 27/07/2008 19:30

Dawn-hope you are OK. I too have no advice to offer but if you still have red blood tinged CM in the morning you should contact the surgery/midwife. {{hugs}}

Thanks so much DD and HC. I have just been to the loo again (it's like I'm waiting to find out if I'm PG again ) and CM is back to normal. Surely if it was an MC it would be consistent wouldn't it?! Also, still no cramping or anything. The occasional twinge but I've had that since the Implantation Bleed. So I'm keeping everything crossed.

If there is no more bad CM tonight or tomorrow, I may wait as I have my first MW appointment on Tuesday morning...

My CM is always quite heavy so maybe it was literally just spotting, mixed with CM.

Thanks again though and I hope you're enjoying the weather!!

Knax · 27/07/2008 21:17

Sorry you're worried Dawn. I've heard loads of people get spotting/ bleeding and it's usually totally ok. God it's such a constant worry isn't it? Lots of love, I'm sure all will be ok xx
HC LOL re the chocolate fest! Although it's not LOL at the time Literally melt -down
Detox, hope you enjoyed the bbq, and it got the BD off to a fine start
BSL - sounds like the perfect day!
I keep hearing a scratching sound near the computer and it's freaking me out. We had mice in the past so hope the buggers are not back. (Well obviously not the same ones as the trap made quite clear. We originally started with humane traps but they were laughing at us and coming back in, so we had to get the big guns out.. well, obviously I mean the traps rather than the actual big guns - probably a bit dangerous, and more to the point inaccurate).
Better go to bed before the mice or the hangover finally do me in.
Knax xx

WelliesAndPyjamas · 27/07/2008 21:57

Dawn - I had light brown CM on one occasion last week and also panicked and was very upset. I googled it and searched MN threads for it and found that lots of people get this, and it is most likley old blood being cleared out. I also read that it can happen around the time you would normally have had your period, and this was the case for me last week. HTH a little.

Knax - grrr hate mice! we've also had problems in the past, although mostly in the garage not the house. The best solution for us in the end was mouse glue.

HumphreysCorner · 28/07/2008 08:44

Dawn-how are things this morning? Please phone the surgery if the bleeding is any heavier won't you even if youn don't have any cramping. Thinking of you.

My electricity is going off at 9am until 3pm for the YE to do work so will be on after WW later. Hope all OK.

Hey all,

Not too hopeful today as blood is definitely red now and is a little heavier, although still not there all the time. But I really don't know how long MCs take. Is it something that happens over days or once it starts, it happens quickly. I don't really want to find out and I'm keeping everything crossed. I can't stop crying either...

I've called the doctor and waiting for them to call me back. Didn't know whether it was worth going in as I don't think there's much they can do at this stage because it's so early. So thought I'd talk to someone first.

Weird thing though is that my previous symptoms have intensified since yesterday, boobs are much more sore and having to go to the toilet at least once every hour (although it wasn't that bad through the night luckily). No bleeding overnight at all, not until about 7.30am this morning. Also my cup of tea tasted weird this morning.

My Mum doesn't think there's too much to worry about as she bled through two of her pregnancies, every 6 weeks or so, but I guess it's different when it's your turn and there's no-one who can tell you it's going to be Ok....

FlirtyThirty · 28/07/2008 09:11

Oh, Dawn...I've replied on the other thread to you...don't despair yet! Really...this may just be an emotional blip. Wait for the Dr to call back and keep monitoring things. Be hopeful - I realise this si MUCH easier said than done. It is a common condition and may amount to nothing significant. Thinking of you...

Flirty xx

bluestarlavender · 28/07/2008 09:20

Dawn - I'm really sorry you're not ok!! But please don't worry too much and try to stay positive. Lots of people do bleed and go on to be okay! You said yourself that you bleed easily, so it could just be Pip getting comfy...not sure but does the placenta start forming now too...could Just be a little disruption to your lining causing the bleed. I really do think you need to talk to the doctor though! You may also be able to book an early scan...although you won't see much.

I'm praying things will be okay for you!! >

Hi All,

Well the doc just called me and said that because the bleeding is still light and there's no pain, that I should just try and rest today.

Spoke to my boss and he's been great. The doc also said that if the bleeding does get heavier and I start to experience AF like cramping, then unfortunately it's likely to be an MC. She says if I'm still not happy in the morning, she can arrange for an early scan at the early pregnancy unit at the hospital.

I'm keeping everything crossed. If I didn't need to wee so much today, I'd be avoiding going like the plague!!

bluestarlavender · 28/07/2008 09:38

Dawn - I hope you are feeling a little less panicked!! (although in your shoes, I would be worried too) So it's a sofa-day for you, lots and lots of rest and try not to worry!! I would put on a nice chick-flick to try to take your mind off it! Stress can't be good for you or Pip!!

Take care, hun!

DawnAS · 28/07/2008 09:49

Thanks BSL, I'm going to try and have some breakfast aswell I think. Haven't been able to eat anything yet, nerves are making my tum very wobbly!!

So, going off in search of food now.

bluestarlavender · 28/07/2008 09:55

Dawn - Let us know how you get on today...I'm thinking of you. But don't spend all your time on MN, cos I think you really do need to try to take your mind off it.

keep safe, keep eating (you definitely need some nice snacking food !) and keep rested!

Still have electricity so just want to say sorry that things are not so good Dawn. I am no medic so have nothing more to add. I know that in my case the bleeding was not good but there are lots of ladies that bleed early on that go on to have successful pregnancies. It is a very sad and anxious time for you but you can take up their offer of an early scan. {{hugs}}

Myjob That place sounds like paradise ? wish I was there today ? so HOT in office.

Belgian happy birthday for yesterday! Hope you had a lovely day, and that this year brings all you wish for.

Knax glad you had a good night out with DH. For me our first proper night out after mc was a big healer.

HC Poor thing. Hope you?re feeling better today. It?s so miserable feeling like that in hot weather.

Dawn, sweetie, I think you're doc has given you the best advice. I have been there, and I really know what you're going through. But a lot of people do bleed an spot throughout pregnancy, and have red blood and go on to be OK. All I can say is and if you're having no cramping then that's a good sign. Thinking of you and sending good vibes.

Bellie · 28/07/2008 16:51

oh Dawn, just seen this {{hugs}}}. Hoping that everything is ok with you. Hope you have managed to rest.

So Hot here again today - 28 degrees in dd's room - not sure what to do tonight she refuses to have a fan, refuses to sleep with the windows open, and refuses to take off the duvet (blankie) and put a sheet on!!

daisyj · 28/07/2008 17:02

That's 'your doc' - severe . Heat is obviously affecting my brain!

detoxdiva · 28/07/2008 18:42

Oh dawn - hope you are feeling better. Can you push your mw to get you up the early pg unit? When I went she just phoned up for me while I was on the way - the scan takes minutes and it would put you at ease. Hope everything goes ok - get lots of rest.

Hope everyone else is ok in this heat - work was unbearable today! Really hoping dd has a better night - her room was so warm last night that she couldn't sleep even in just her pants. Dh slept with her in the spare room in the end with the window wide open!

I have a questions for the temp experts....HC are you there?? I have been taking my temp every morning before I get up, literally as I wake up. Is it normal for it to fluctuate quite a bit during my cycle? How will I notice a rise at ovulation? Also I used my first opk today - there was a very feint line there - but it is only cd 9 so unless I am going to have a normal 28 day cycle (highly unlikely!) why would some of the hormone be present? Agghh - confused!

Evening all,

Dawn so sorry, fingers crossed it's OK. We're in the same boat you & I really - have had brown CM today which really freaked me out. Last had it when I should have had my period and assumed it was old implantation stuff. Having read what others replied to you is reassuring for me too though so many thanks Bellie, DaisyJ, HC, Knax, DD, Wellies and others for sharing your experiences.

Just spoke to GP, she was v realistic but supportive, probably getting me a scan at early pregnancy centre for tomorrow. Was OK all day but now DH is home we're a bit shaken. I guess we just wait and see.

xx
