I have officially broken up today for nearly 6 weeks! Yey!!! Had to run a disco and talent show for 200 very sweaty teenagers all afternoon so am knackered! Can't wait to get packing finished and get off to Mallorca on Thursday! (weather forecast is sun, sun, sun!

DD - great! we can temp and OV stick together. I'm completely clueless with it all, but it'll be fun figuring it all out. What thermometer did you get? I think I need a new one, mine's digital but only got one decimal place. The temps I've taken so far have been all over the place!!

DaisyJ - not that I wish this horrible cramping pain on anyone...but come join us!!

I'm going to use preseed and Ov sticks properly for the first time this month and try hard to BD at the right times. I'm trying not to get DH stressed so am being secretive about all of the technicalities of the process!
Based on previous cycles, I reckon I'll OV around 1st August (next Friday)...

OMG I nearly died when I took my first lot of Multivitamin things today!! I swear they're really horse-pills!! I didn't know whether to swallow 'em or stick 'em where the sun doesn't shine!! My goodness, I don't know about Morning Sickness, taking those every day is certainly going to exercise my gag reflexes!!

bluestar-when I first started temping my thermometer only had 1 decimal place and FF couldn't pinpoint OV-kept changing it until it got me OVing on day 25 so got a proper basal one and deleted that cycle.

Flirty-I should be OVing either 31st July, 1st or 2nd August.

So...what's the trick?! How frequently did you actually BD this month? This is a downside for us on the TTC front, as we probably only 'normally' BD once a week
. I'm going to have to makea special effort to be extra seductive this month!
Do you reckon that 48hrs before OV and on the actual day is enough? Am I right in saying that there is no point in doing anything after OVing?

Oh, HC - we have synchronised OV! How clever of us! There's going to be a fair amound of BDing to kick-start August then!

Flirty once a week used to be normal for us too. Then every other day or a bit more for a week around OV, or what I thought was OV. Not enough!

However on Super DB Month (yipeee it worked!!) we were at it on CD days 7, 9, 11, 13, 14 (OPK surge detected), 15, 16 and 17.

I had heard it's really good to do it lots in the 5-6 days leading up to OV, then the actual day. And then of course the egg can live for about 48 hours or more, so we kept going (have kicked myself for stopping too soon in the past).

HC - will definitely pop and grab myself a proper thermometer tomorrow. I might just have to scrap today and tomorrow's temp that way. Hopefully FF will still be able to predict my OV day from the temps without the first two!

As for OV day, from last month, I got OV pain 14 days after AF and then obviously 14 days after the OV pain I got my next AF...the problem is OV pain doesn't necessarily mean that it coincides with OV. I'm gonna try to copy Mandy and go for 7 BDs in 10 days (Mandy - is that right??)

CE - glad you've broken up and the disco went well!! So jealous of your relaxing holiday!! I'm off for a week in Singapore at the end of August, but it feels soooo long away!!

I figure we might try every other day once I stop bleeding, then every day in the 4 day run up to OV and then OV day and day after. I'm estimating OV will be in 14 days time, so I think about 4th August.

We both have a crazy mix of emotions going on this morning - I think I'm in shock! Lots of tears(of joy)and total disbelief! Very very very happy though. I now have EVERYTHING crossed for the next few weeks.

Dawn - How did last night go with DH? How did he react when he saw you?! I love all this happiness and good news...

Mandy - thanks for the tips on Super BD. Hmm...I think Dh will think I've gone totally bonkers (excuse the pun!) if I try leaping on him so much...he thinks we're taking this TTC as it comes, rather than on a mission like me!
So, my cycle is usually 25 days, and last month, I tested an OV stick and got a +line around CD7. assuming it's the same this month, then I'll OV around the 1st August. So...I was thinking that we could get down to it on 30, 1 (OV likely detected), 2 and 3...and maybe twice on 2 or 3rd as it's a weekend! I think I may be unrealistic to go for your sex-a-thon at this stage...I'll try, but DGH is usually absolutely knackered after work at the moment, so it could be a challenge to squeeze in any more BDing! That will alreadfy be his monthly quota in 4 days!? Will then try and stick to the every other day part a little longer... One of the problems is that I don't normally initiate sex and in spite of being married and loveing DH to bits, I'm almost embarrassed at the prospect of leaping on him.. This is clearly ridiculous...I must get over myself...

I peed on the stick then left it on the edge of the sink and made DP go and look! He was looking and looking and not saying anything, so I got up and looked for myself! Men hey, I think he wanted it written out for him or something as the line was quite obvious! My temp had stayed up this morning and was expecting a pre AF dip - hence why I tested at 14DPO.

We didn't actually do that much BDing this month as we found it really hard to work out when ovulation would be. Fully did not expect to get pg this cycle! I think the ones that 'counted' were 2 days together, one the day before ov day, and ov day itself (i.e. 2 weeks ago). So, not exactly a recipie for success!
