New thread as requested (panic, panic) - hope the name will do?

OP posts:
FlirtyThirty · 25/07/2008 16:54

Thanks Bluestar...think I best drink more water too! I'm crap at drinking enough during the day!

DawnAS · 25/07/2008 17:05

Gosh - I'm off the thread for a day and it's taken me nearly 40 minutes to read them all!!!

So, firstly, Knax, sorry about your loss but a definite welcome back!! (Although I'm fairly new so might not have been here last time you were on ).

BSL, I almost think you feel worse on Cycle 1, because you expect so much. I certainly did. When you look into the logic and you BD every other day, it's hard to understand why it won't work. But maybe as cycles go on, the feeling stays the same, I don't know. It's really difficult aswell when you look at 3rd world countries, where the poor women are starving or ill, but somehow they seem to conceive so easily (although that's probably a generalisation). Even in the conditions that they live in, it happens, so it's a case of keeping faith I think that it will happen.

Hello to everyone else!! Had a really crap day at work today and didn't get lunch until 4pm - not a happy bunny . Also been suffering with swollen glands in my neck and a raging sore throat - horrid when you know that you can't take anything for it!!

I hope everyone else is Ok and that anyone that's disappearing away on holiday , has a lovely time!!

I'll be back on later but my sister's got live music in her pub/restaurant tonight so going to enjoy some of that and some good bar food - courtesty of my BIL Chef!!

bluestarlavender · 25/07/2008 17:23

Phew Dawn - good to see you back...I was getting worried!

Actually, although it was cycle 1 last month for me...I was hoping, rather than expecting it to happen, just because of DH and I being ill!! I guess all I feel is p*ssed off and a bit unlucky that I had to OV while we weren't able to BD...but that's just sods law!! Roll on cycle 2 and at least now I have a better understanding of what might be and what might not be a symptom!! I'm also a massive believer in fate, and when the time is right for me to be PG, it will happen and if it doesn't, well maybe that's just how things are supposed to be. Madly, DH and I did discuss what happens if we can't have small people and although we'd probably look into things like clomid, I don't want to go down the IVF route...ooops looks like I'm in massive brain-dump mode and getting way ahead of myself!!

Anyhow, brain-dump over...it's far too heavy for a Friday afternoon!!

bluestarlavender · 26/07/2008 07:35

Okay, I think I've killed our thread.

If I promise not to brain dump anymore, will everyone please come back....??

BSL x

detoxdiva · 26/07/2008 07:49

You haven't killed it

Sorry you are feeling so down - like me you are only in cycle 2 (although I am already foot-tappingly impatient!!). Chance are you won't even have to think of any alternatives to ttc - it will happen for you, just give it time, relax (don't you hate it when people say that!!) and have lots of sex [blucsh]

Come join in Mandy's summer of love - it is my cd 7 and have bd'd twice already since end of af . Dh thinks it's great and it makes for a great atmospere at home And that can only be a good thing!!

detoxdiva · 26/07/2008 07:50

Crikey - all that sex must be affecting my ability to spell

Bellie · 26/07/2008 12:57

BSL - no way can you kill a thread with a brain dump!! There is no thing as TMI .

I think it must be all the lovely weather! We are just about to go out to two parties (I know it's like buses......) One 50th and one a yearly get together - children not really invited to the 50th so only staying for about an hour then off to the family one!!!

WelliesAndPyjamas · 26/07/2008 13:17

WOW!!! Congratulations, CE and Daisy!!! Such lovely news! It really is a successful thread. I'm sure it'll prove that way for the remaining bonkers too

Nothing new here. Just sent DH off successfully for another week away working so am now treating myself to a cuppa at the computer (which he has been hogging all week). Feeling a wee bit less tired today and yesterday I actually felt lively and had some colour in my cheeks for the first time in ages!

Hi mjim - good to hear you had a nice day. That place sounds lovely. We took dd to a local wildlife park and had a picnic in the sun - lovely! Although she was completely exhausted at the end of it - and is now sound asleep thankfully

Hope everyone else is well. Am off to have an early night soon as also utterly knackered! (no bd'ing - dh's night off tonight )

Evening everyone,

Phew, just finished a big family BBQ at our house!! Knackered!!

BB - You can join the thread, but don't leave us!!! And have a wonderful B-day tomorrow!! Loving the idea of champagne ...I was very good tonight, despite the cava flowing freely, I drank 7up light all night. Thankfully no one notice what I was up to as I was running around sorting all the food and drinks.

DD - thanks for the reassurance!! I am quite okay really, and looking forward to getting going on cycle 2 properly. Planning to start our every other day BDing from tomorrow and OV sticks from Wed/Thurs. What are your plans for the cycle??

Bellie - hope the parties were both fun tonight!!

MJIM - I've been boiling today too, and at least I'm not PG!! Hope you've been keeping cool somehow. I think I'd resort to paddling pool tactics!!

W&P - glad you're feeling brighter!! I agree it's a super lucky thread (esp. with more babies than bonkers!!)

Juanitad - glad you had a lovely time in the Lakes. I haven't been for years and years and would love to go again!!

Anyhow, very sleepy, so good sleeps all!

Just popping on to say 'HAPPY BIRTHDAY' to BB Hope you have a fantastic day and the sun shines on you!!

Will catch up later - am taking DS to my parents today (which is a 90 mintue drive!) - his 3 cousins who he adores are there plus DH is playing cricket today (as well as yesterday) so I decided there was no way I was spending 2 days here by myself!!

Hope you all have a good day

xx

WelliesAndPyjamas · 27/07/2008 10:15

Happy birthday BB! Have a lovely day

Knax · 27/07/2008 10:34

Happy birthday BB. Sounds like everyone is having idyllic time in the sunshine. MJIM I also discovered a gorgeous place 2 mins from where I've lived for 5 years, 2 days ago. It's great for DS to run around and me to chill without having to grab him every couple of mins due to dangers like roads lurking. I'll be back there all the time now.
had a week off this week but back to work tomorrow boo hoo!bbbbnmjmml;.njbvvcvnnnvc c
OOps - DS just got to the keyboard whilst I was wiping up the water he spilled everywhere. Total monkey.
Am actually hungover today for first time in a long time. DH and I went out last night and got babysitter - I think I needed it. Will be in bed v early tonight though - DS is no respecter of hangovers.
xx

detoxdiva · 27/07/2008 10:55

Hi all

MJIM - my dd is 2.6. She slept well until 2am when she fell out of bed ! Think it was so hot she was just really restless!

BB - have a great birthday. Champagne in the sun sounds perfect!

HC - hope you are alright. We are both on cd 8 now - how is the summer of love going

BSL - BBQ sounds great. Plans for this cycle are well underway - bd every other day (started this on cd 4 and sticking to it at the moment ) and starting ov sticks from tomorrow just to make sure!! Good luck to you this month

Hi Knax - hope your hangover is better! Glad you had a good night out with dh.

Right - off out to mums for her birthday bbq - have a great day x

HumphreysCorner · 27/07/2008 11:08

Happy Birthday belgianbun I will be 40 next year so not far behind you. Have a lovely day.

Have been suffering the 2nd migraine of the month-grrhh!!! Is slightly better today (day 3) and we are going to my SIL's for a BBQ at 1pm. Diet is totally out of the window and feel strangely calm after the events of the last few days. Maybe something to do with DD1 being on school so not having to see PG people for a while IYSWIM.

Cancel the calm bit-have just found DD1 covered in chocolate having taken off the bib I put on to keep her clothes clean ready for later. DD2 has dropped a choc digestive on the patio, it has melted and she has walked in it! Aaaaaarrrrrgggghhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!

Hey Ladies,

I hope that you're all having a lovely Sunday!!

I'm hoping that someone's on line because I'm a bit worried...

I've just been to the toilet and my CM is slightly browner in colour than it's been for the last week or so. It still seems to be very much tinged with yellow (sorry for TMI) like it has been since I had the Implantation bleed and I do get this colour CM quite a lot, but not since finding out I was PG. Getting a bit worried that something could be wrong...

Is it right to assume that because it's slightly brown tinged that it could be old blood mixing with CM? I had a bit yesterday aswell, definitely not bleeding but just CM that's rather dark in colour. But I've had no pain at all, no cramping.

I know it sounds a really pessimistic question but did anyone that's had a (very ) mc have this at the beginning?

I'm not known for my calmness and tend to panic very easily. I've spoken to my Mum (who had 5 of us and had a lot of bleeding through 2 pregnancies) and she said that it's probably nothing to worry about. But unfortunately I am worried....

Any advice ladies?

xxxx

bluestarlavender · 27/07/2008 17:08

Afternoon everyone!!

BB - Happy Birthday! I hope you're having a great day!!

Dawn - sorry, m'dear, but I'm going to be no help! I have no idea about CM during pregnancy...at least not yet! But I don't think it's a problem so long as you aren't bleeding and even then it can still be okay...

HC and Knax - sounds like you guys both have little monkeys on your hands, lol!!

DD - Sounds like your BDing is off to a great start!

I've had a lovely day so far. DH took me shopping (shock, horror!!) to Bluewater and bought me lunch. Then we pottered about in the sunshine at the golf range. Now home eating ice lollies, yum yum!! And we're gonna have a nice chilled evening in tonight. Might have dinner in the garden.

I hope everyone else is having a lovely day!!

BSL x

Bellie · 27/07/2008 17:50

Oh Dawn I am sorry that you are worried, but it sounds like it is just the increase in cm that you get. It might have a little bit of brown blood (which is old blood) in it. I have had this for about 7 weeks now, and having had scans etc everything is ok. If you are worried though speak to your gp/midwife in the morning.

Too hot here have to keep coming inside to cool off!
