Thanks BB! I'm easily amused...

Interesting to see the Babies currently have it by 1 vote! Let's get that ratio increased...

ceebee74 · 25/07/2008 09:16

Flirty - that is fab - well done! One thing, DaisyJ got a BFP yesterday so can be moved to the other section so the babies have it by 2

Knax - so sorry. Stick around, hon, and when you're ready there is just SO much babydust!

Thanks everyone for your congrats. It's just so fantastic to have the support. And myjob, your message made me feel a bit choked - thank you. So glad your pregnancy is going so well. Can't wait to be big and fat too! Once you've mc'd the innocence is gone, isn't it? So I'm trying to stay relaxed, and it certainly helps to feel all the good vibes .

detox - that sounds like a plan - I was going to do that if this month didn't work. I don't see how it can fail!

Daisyj - bfp yesterday!

Flirty - I'm also commencing the BD fest Tuesday!!! Been good this morning too and had my grapefruit juice (mixed with a little OJ - it's too bitter for me otherwise! ). Also decided that it's no more alcohol for me from today til AF rears it's ugly head again.

Had an awful awful AF this time...must be the IUD being removed and my body adjusting! I thought it would hurt less now that I don't have it in, but no...pain for 3 days like I have never had before. Today is the first day of feeling normal again. And I have never bled so much or as quickly!! (sorry for the TMI, but I'm quite shocked at the change in my cycle!) I always used to bleed for about 5 days...starting slowly and then heavy for about 1.5 days and easing off. Since I had the IUD removed I've had 2 AFs and both have been really intense - fast and heavy and then disappearing, only lasting 3 days! Did anyone else have this happen when they had an IUD removed?? This month was so bad I couldn't sleep for 3 nights and have really struggled to be able to work.

Anyhow sorry for the TMI!!

FlirtyThirty · 25/07/2008 10:43

Oh, Bluestar
So sorry you've been in pain. I have always had really heavy periods. They last 7 days and of that for at least 6 there's lots of blood and clotting. Thanks fully, I rarely get cramps (though ths month I did have to go to bed with a hot water bottle one night as I was suffering too. For me it's just one of those things rather than IUD or anything. I hope things settle down for you though - or you get a BFP and don't have to think about it until next year!

I'm off out NOW to buy grapefruit juice...then it'll be grapefruit segments for lunch! Yummy! Thanks for the reminder! I love the bitter taste...strange girl! I really don't havea sweet tooth...bitter things and salt (I know it's bad for me...and I don't very much at all...but I do love the taste!)

FlirtyThirty · 25/07/2008 10:45

Bluestar...and as for Tuesday...my DH has no idea what's in store! Don't know whether the poor man will be delighted or terrified at my new found sexual aggression!

Mandy73 · 25/07/2008 11:16

Knax so sorry . Lovely to see you again though. xx

BB what can I say, totally understand you but it will happen. ?Only? took us 11 cycles... Have you had a chat with your GP about the possability of getting refereed?

Hi all,

I've been away for most of this week, in the lake district (very pretty, never been before despite living quite near it!) I have just rushed through the messages to see what's been going on and I see there has been a lot of activity! Congrats to CE and Dawn, that's fab news and further proof of the good luck of this thread! DH felt the baby move for the first time this week, so that was v nice. Am now 23+5, can't believe how the time is starting to fly by!

Mandy73 · 25/07/2008 11:24

Hi Juanitad was just thinking of you. Glad you had a great time away!

OP posts:
HumphreysCorner · 25/07/2008 11:49

knax-so happy that you felt able to come back but so sorry to hear your news.

bluestar-think your AF will be connected with the removal. What a bugger eh?

Well, went out last night with my 2 friends and all was well until my friend (that I saw 1 week ago) turned up an announced she was 15 weeks PG. Bearing in mind it was her husband that was adamant he wasn't having a 3rd but hey presto they did it the once and the rest is history. I am thrilled for her but it didn't stop me coming home and sobbing. Naturally, the whole conversation for the rest of the night was baby talk. I am also on call in January to bomb down to her house if she calls in labour as her last baby was 2.5 hours from first twinge to birth. Her mum and dad are away for 3 months from January and his mum livesb away-should be fun if it is in the middle of the night. All this time I daren't tell her we were TTC as I didn't want to upset her. DH said perhaps we should just go for it Mandy style and I think if it doesn't happen this month we probably will.

Anyway, enough of me, me, me .

{{hugs}} belgianbun-I so know how you feel as I went through this TTC DD1 as that took a year and same friends were all announcing their pregnancies. {{hugs}}

This grapefruit juice lark-how much should I be drinking?

Flirty-love the list arrangement.

It is lovely and sunny here and mum and dad have the girls but can't sit outside as the neighbour has the radio on far too loud. I'll tell you something funny and I feel guilty a tad but last Friday night at 10pm DH was just doing something in the caravan and he called me out to say these neighbours were shagging. Honestly, she was so loud! If it isn't the radio it is her singing (DH shouted 'has somebody died out their when she was singing loudly 9-30pm one night) and if it isn't her singing it is her shagging noises. Oh, and the 24 hour a day dogs barking (they keep them in a cage in the garden).

Better go as I am waffling.

Love to all

Back later in a better frame of mind.

HC - sympathies for last night - it is always so hard when people tell you they are pg (and even worse after one drunken BD!) and you are trying. Fingers crossed that it is your month this month otherwise you will be digging out your ra-ra skirt Lol at your neighbours - they clearly have no shame as I am so conscious of the noise if me and DH are 'busy' in the summer and the windows are open!

Juanitad - lovely to hear from you. Glad you had a good holiday - the Lake District is very pretty and you picked a good week to go Add your details to our 'new-style' stats list if you get a chance.

Hi to everyone else - have just spent an hour clearing my inbox at work - I am such a hoarder with e-mails and stuff and there was some realy crap in there! Must learn to delete as they come in....am now going to tackle my 'sent items' box - such fun for a Friday afternoon eh?

bluestarlavender · 25/07/2008 12:23

Hi HC,

Sorry about last night!! I went through the same thing last Sunday morning, I am so happy for my friends, but had to get out of the house and go and have a coffee to clear my head...texted my DH while I was out because I was struggling not to cry!! How pathetic am I, being only only cycle 1?? Sorry ladies, I know I've no right to moan!!!

With regard to grapefruit juice, I think Mandy's tip was for a glass or two, so I'm going for two a day.

BSL x

Bellie · 25/07/2008 12:29

HC it is really hard isn't it? for you. sending babydust your way for this month

I drunk a large glass of grapefruit every morning

ceebee - when I was working I used to do the same - one time I got to the point where I was unable to accept any more emails as I had sooo many in there

Juanitad - glad to hear that you had a good time - it is supposed to be beautiful - must get round to going sometime!

Flirty - loving the new stats!! Thanks!

Glad the Bonkers League Table is proving popular!

I have just been to Tesco to stock up on grapefruit juice! Luckily I love the stuff, and DH knows that, so nothing suspicious if I suddenly become addicted to pints of it!

bluestarlavender · 25/07/2008 15:09

MJIS - you will never be asked to leave...you're our founder!!

I can't believe that there are only 6 undergraduates!! And four people graduated in the last two weeks!! This has to be the best and luckiest thread on MN!!! Let's go for six new graduates this month!!

BSL x

Knax · 25/07/2008 15:30

God, you lot are fabulous! Looked back in the old thread after someone said Choc Eclair already knew about my mc from the Feb thread - you're like a big virtual hug!!! I can't believe you had already known about the mc and had already said you hoped I'd come back. Choc E I was so upset for you when you had your mc, and so chuffed you're pg again already. Everyone is so right about innocence lost after a mc. I'll never forget the woman who was doing the scan saying "I'm not seeing what i should be seeing." It was as if I'd known it was going to happen as I'd been reading about missed miscarriages and hoping I was just being paranoid, but I had this feeling it would happen. If/ hopefully when I get pg again I won't really be looking forward to the scan.
What's with all the grapefruit juice Mandy? Is it a good luck thing or is there a "science bit". I'm going to buy some.
Thanks everyone for all your lovely messages. I echo that MyJob could never be asked to leave, as it would be anarchy and the troops would miss the great leader too much.
HC - I keep the dogs outside the caravan, and thought my singing was divine . Maybe the loud bonking would be a good idea though.
So any advice about how soon can expect AF/ ovulation after a mc? Do you just bonk at random times and hope for the best, ot buy loads of ov tests and try and get back in the system?
Knax xx

FlirtyThirty · 25/07/2008 16:23

Knax...things you never knew about grapefruits...apparently it increases cervical mucus...

Can't find anything specific (ie. scientific to back this up online) but this is interesting...

myjob - you totally didn't upset me! Just a bit emotional from the hormones, I guess. Yes, that was me, in the station! Horrors. Try to avoid going through Waterloo Station if I can help it now!

bluestar and hc - moan as much as you like, that's what we're here for! And it's totally understandable. Saw v. cute, v. young baby today and got quite tearful in the street. I'm all over the place at the moment

What a lot of chat on here today! PMSL over bonkers league table, too - I love it

bluestarlavender · 25/07/2008 16:35
