OMG daisyj-congratulations !

Have just been to the leavers service for year 6 at the church-v. emotional, especially for the year 6 parents and parents of award winners. DD1 didn't win anything bless her but the son of the PG mum did and she did cry. Must have a baby by this time next year or the PG hormones will set me off.

Off out with my friend tonight so better get on with tea, bath and bed for the girls before I go out.

Love to all

HC - I have good feeling about this month...so hopefully it will be alot sooner than next year

Can I also ask a temping related question...? They say that alcohol affects the readings, the last few days I've been drinking, as I'm commiserating not being PG celebrating AF! But my temps are quite high. After tonight I'm planning not to drink again for a while, but I'm worried I've messed up the temping by drinking...can anyone shed any light of what drinking does to the temps???

HC - have a lovely evening out!!

Mandy - oooh BBQ, I'm jealous!

dawn - thanks for the extra baby dust...keep it coming!!

Bellie · 24/07/2008 17:08

Wow daisyj - congratulations !! The babydust is working!!!

I also used the grapefruit juice - did the trick eventually - 17 months of the stuff adn eventually I grew to like it!! Although have to say I havn't touched a drop since my bfp!!

HumphreysCorner · 24/07/2008 17:56

I absolutely adore grapefruit juice but as it adds to my points I stopped having it. Might have to get some again.

Have an awful sinking feeling that I can't shift that I will be the last one left on here still not PG-silly I know.

Thanks, everyone. It's great to be able to blab big time, as can't in RL, obviously. Told mum first as shaking and nearly hysterical. Then calmed down and phoned DH at lunch time. He is quietly pleased (with himself, I think, for being so virile as to get me pg first month of trying again ), but we're both trying not to get too excited till first scan (yeah, right!).

HC - I think everyone feels like that till they get their BFP - I did both times, truly, I'm not just saying it to make you feel better.

bb - it took us 10 months first time round... Don't give up, hon.

There's so much babydust around, it can't help but get everywhere, I'm sure of it. xx

majormoo · 24/07/2008 18:39

congrats DaisyJ

BB and HC really hope you get lucky soon.

A friend of mine has just had a BFP from her first attempt at IVF. Really really hope it works out for them.

I at last have my maternity clothes down from the loft which is a huge relief. Now the scan is out of the way, I feel like I can at last think about my pregnancy. Although I have still been worried about this pregnancy, when I was at Kings I bumped into the psychotherapist I saw there after the Trisomy 13 abnormality was discovered in my pregnancy between DD and DS. It shocked me seeing her as it reminded me how difficult my pregnancy with my DS was-the whole way through I was so tightly wound up, I was always about to snap.
Anyway sorry to go on about me. We are also off on holiday this weekend so will not be around for a while. When we went down to the beach earlier it seemed like we were already on holiday-loads of people were swimming in the sea and everywhere was heaving.

detoxdiva · 24/07/2008 18:50

Well done daisy - no wonder your dh is proudof himself

HC - chin up! It's our month remember! Cd 5 !!

Of course it's your month too BSL & BB

CE - have a great holiday. Am very !

Hi to everyone else - am just relaxing after a manic day at work - now have 3 days off and am off to have a picnic in the park tomorrow with a friend and her dd's!

ceebee74 · 24/07/2008 19:31

Daisyj - CONGRATULATIONS to you - am really pleased for you

HC - I agree with Daisy that I think we all felt like that at some point - I know I did when we first started this thread and people all round were getting BFP's. It will happen for you, you know that!

Will catch up in a mo - just need to put DS to bed.

Oh BB - it's so hard isn't it? You want to be happy for your DSIL, but it's only natural to feel a bit

You are cd2 right? Keep your chin up, stay positive - it will happen ok??! Come and hold hands with me, HC and BSL - we're all on John Wayne month together! Remember Mandy's advice....plenty of shagging

I have made a pact {with myself!} to bd every other night once af left - started yesterday and I have every intention of sticking to it xx

Bellie · 24/07/2008 20:33

Oh BB - it is hard, i remember ringing dh up at work crying my eyes out as yet another friend had got pregnant. I was happy for them but so jealous and sad too. Please keep your chin up - this is the summer of love and the sun is out so count the days......

detox - keep at it now!!

HC - you will not be the last don't worry!

Majormoo . Eeek I am going to be huge!! Enjoy your hols!

MJIM - nearly at the final countdown - how has it gone so fast!!?? Not sure how you will cope if they are both full on - but you will!!

wave to everyone else xx

bluestarlavender · 24/07/2008 21:14

HC and BB - Please don't be down!! We'll get through this next cycle together, like DD says!! And with all the advice from everyone, who knows where the John Wayne month will lead us!!! I know I'm all new to this and it's only cycle 2, but I do understand! It is hard to watch everyone around getting pregnant or having babies.

Majormoo - I hope your friend's BFP works out for her.

DD - AF is still here for me . But I'm following your game plan to start BDing every other day!! Had me two glasses of grapefruit juice for the day too!!

Bellie - I wouldn't worry about the mat clothes...I think it's lovely you can look as well as feel pregnant!! Bring on the bump.

MJIS - wow 30 weeks, and am I right in saying you started this thread??

Daisyj - Hope you have a lovely celebratory evening with your DH!! So pleased for you!

Big waves to everyone else...sorry if I've missed you, just trying to catch up and everyones been really chatty!

BSL x

Found out a week ago, and had the hospital on Sunday to "get it out" - (sorry, but kept thinking of ways to put that but it wasn't a D and C but the tablet version.)
Am so chuffed to hear Choc E and Mandy's news!! Absolutely brilliant!! And congrats to all you others with recent BFPs too,
I'll try and add my name to your list in the next post,
love knax xxx

Knax, so sorry to hear your news but glad that you feel that you can come back on here.

detoxdiva · 25/07/2008 08:30

Hi Knax - so sorry to hear of your news but its good to have you here.

FlirtyThirty · 25/07/2008 08:46

Knax - how sad for you!
Stick with us though, we're having lots of BFP luck just now...so the rest of us can all live in hope of a bright future!
Firty x

ceebee74 · 25/07/2008 08:51

Knax - so about your news! It is good that you are back and we have just very recently had 2 BFP's immediately after mc's which is just fantastic. Stick around eh?

BB - I think your feelings are completely justified! I can imagine how hard it must be for you to put a brave face. It will happen!!

Bellie - I was in maternity trousers from about 13 weeks - it was so much comfier and a relief to be able to breathe again!! With DS, it was about 20 weeks before I had to wear them but I guess that is what having a second child does to you

Have a good day - hope you all enjoy the sunshne whilst I am stuck in my dark and dingy office
