New thread as requested (panic, panic) - hope the name will do?

Willmouse is at the thought of Mjob junior's reaction when mummy has to show her bottom to the doctor

On that note, I'm off to have my tea!

Heartmum2Jamie · 14/08/2008 20:50

I have never bothered with the dr's for mine Mjim. I have just rode mine out as best I can, but mine are extenrnal mainly (I hope I don't have internal ones as well), so I find a warm bath with bicarb of soda helpful of cotton wool pads with a bit of witch hazel can be soothing.

You've done well MJIM! I got mine from 3 hours of pushing with ds1. I am impressed that they don't appear to have got any worse with subsequent babies though, so it doesn't always get worse, try and take some comfort from that. I do hope we aren't scaring the first timers!

And so it shouldn't! The end result is MORE than worth the niggles and discomforts. I wouldn't put up with heartburn like this for just anyone you know!

Never mind the first-timers you 2, I am wondering what the hell I am doing Sorry you are suffering MJIM - I guess that is one of those side-effects of pg that you are aware of but really really hope that it doesn't happen to you (I know I do!)

All is good here DS was in a foul mood when I picked him up from nursery - it was tantrum city for about an hour as everything was wrong, including the fact that Mickey Mouse wasn't on telly - like I control the TV schedules Luckily he perked up for bathtime and we had a few giggles I honestly think it is because his speech is not good and he really struggles to communicate what he wants

Hi to everyone - too many posts and too little time to catch up with you all - sorry!

LOL Ceebee!!! I have had very little trouble this time around, I bet I will regret saying that by the end of October!

Sorry to hear that your ds was not in a great mood earlier. I know that ds2 gets very frustrated when he can't make himself understood and he's 4, so it could be that. Glad he perked up though.

Actually MJIM, I can hardly complain about my pregnancies, they have all been fairly straight forward. What I mean is anemia & heartburn are almost to be expected and I have certainly had them to varying degrees with the boys pregnancies. The only worry tends to be how big I carry, but as I carried HUGE with ds1, I kind of expect it. Incidentally, I looked back at the journal I kept with ds2's pregnancy and I measured spot on for dates at 28 weeks and 3 weeks ahead at 34 weeks with him, so it is a bit of a recurring theme for me. I must admit that right up until the last week or 2, I have felt better in this pregnancy than my other 2.

MrsPuddleduck · 15/08/2008 09:36

Morning all.

Feeling a bit about last nights' insensitive comment. Sorry MJIM, hope you are feeling better today. Personally I would go to the docs, it sounds awful and you never know what they may be able to suggest to make you feel better. You still have quite a while to go yet.

Still nothing from Daisy hope it wasn't bad news she was supposed to be having a scan on Wednesday wasn't she??

Well, I am going to make the most of the nice weather today and get out in the garden. Hope its better next weekend for my birthday treat.....

detoxdiva · 15/08/2008 10:00

Morning all

Hope everyone is enjoying the sunshine

Was also thinking about Daisy this morning - hope all is well there.

MJIM - feeling any better today? A visit to the gp might help - they could suggest something to help. When I got them with dd, I was just told to gently push them back up (eughhhh!) after a warm bath or shower when you are relaxed. Have you tried Fybogel to help keep things 'soft' and less likely to hurt?

HC - how are you today?

A stats update....!

Mandy73 · 15/08/2008 10:57

Hi there,

I hope everyone's well.

HC I'm so sorry about the BFN. Can you be 100% sure though?

I was thinking of Daisy too. Hope she's OK!

I'm turning into a sleep monster. Had a 3 h afternoon nap yesterday and still got 8 h at night.

Have a good day all. xx

Hi All,

I hope that everyone is feeling Ok today.

I'm not liking all this talk about Piles in pregnancy, but only because I already suffer with them and I'm not PG.... I started getting them about 6 years ago, about the same time that I started suffering with IBS, so I guess that it's related as it's all in the same sort of area. Not very nice though... and definitely not looking forward to how bad they might get in PG if I've already got them now!! Oh well!!

So, the postman has just been and I received my "Clearblue Pregnancy Test with Conception Indicator" from that thread that someone posted (I can't remember who now...) about MN looking for people to test them. I never normally win anything so I was quite chuffed. Hoping some of you ladies were lucky enough to get one too!! It actually tells you how far along you are which is going to be great for me, especially if I get PG quite quickly since I have no idea when my cycle will get back to normal after the MC and we've already started trying. I said to DH that if AF hasn't returned in 3 months from the date of the MC, I will do a test.

Although I've got a feeling I may have OVd yesterday as I was getting slight OV pains on one side and lots of CM. But also, I got those painful lumps under my arms again! When I looked back through the diary I started when we started TTC in June, I got the lumps around OV time then - spooky!! Who needs CM or Temping? Just look for the agonising (don't want to shave, wax or wear deodrant) lumps and I'll know!!

Daisy, hope everything's OK hun, sending lots of hugs to you.

HC, it's not over until the old witch sings....

DD, my update added below, hope you're well hun.

DawnAS - TTC#1 - MC August '08 (so no idea where I am in the cycle....)

Lots of hugs and kisses to everyone else!!

ChocolateEclair · 15/08/2008 11:43

Hi everyone

Lots to catch up on as have been busy since weds. Glad to hear most of you are well!

MJIM - so sorry to hear about the bottom problems. It does sound like piles but the doctors can prescribe allsorts these days, so don't suffer in silence. I am seriuosly not looking forward to getting piles It's good that you're not embarrassed about these things though - Think I'm going to have to learn not to be! (My mother says you will never be embarrassed about anything ever again after giving birth!)lol! Hope you get some relief soon x

daisy - hope you are ok honey. I too have been worrying as I'm sure the scan was on wednesday. We are thinking about you if you read this!

HC - sorry about BFN. I'm a little concerned as you have been sounding a bit downheartened. Try to stay positive and enjoy your weekend in the caravan. It's still not over yet I guess. Big hugs xxx

Detox/dawn/BSL - Any more symptoms to share with us? I think Dawn's armpit lumps sound a good ov indicator although have never heard of it before! Well done on winning the pg test thingy!

Sorry to hear that some of the dc are playing up - you can't put us off though whatever you say!!! Hoping for a calmer day today! I have to say ceebee your ds sounds adorable even when he's being a pain!

We had a friend over yesterday who has just come back from 5 months travelling round Australia and New Zealand. Was so jealous of his photos! We also went to the pub for a meal and I was very relieved that my sickness wasn't too bad and allowed me to eat almost a full meal! Yey! (I had lost 3 pounds this week before last night!!!)Boobs still tender and off tea/coffee so feeling reasonably positive! Think I'm turning into MJIM as eating tonnes of fruit and drinking smoothies! lol!

Waves to willmouse, mandy and HM2J - nice to hear from you all

CE xx

detoxdiva · 15/08/2008 11:52

Hi CE

No more symptoms here - the brown cm and stomache aches have stopped, although my temp did rise again this morning back up to where it has been since ov.....

.....however I did give into temptation and do a pg test - bfn - but I know it's too early as still only dpo 11.

ChocolateEclair · 15/08/2008 11:55

Hey detox - don't be about doing a pg test. It shows you are human! We have all been there with the crazy early testing! Sorry it was BFN but as you quite rightly say it's very early, don't read too much into it. If the stomach ache and CM were implantation then you wouldn't expect a BFP for at leats another 5-7 days so there is hope! Good Luck!!!

bluestarlavender · 15/08/2008 12:02

Morning everyone,

Feeling a little this morning. I haven't really got any strong PG symptoms and it's 6DPO. Not even my (.)(.)s are aching, which is weird! Anyhow, am seriously thinking this probably wasn't our month again. Don't really know what else we could have done!

Well done Dawn for getting one of those CB thingys. I always think things comes to you when you need them...so fingers crossed for you this cycle!!

HC - how are you doing today?

DD - ooh a temp rise this morning!! It's still looking promising!

MJIM - I hope you are feeling okay and a bit better today! I feel for anyone with piles...I've not ever had them, but hear they aren't too nice!

CE - glad you had a good evening and were able to eat!! I'm always jealous of travelling pix...but I think having a little person is as much a great adventure as the travelling

Mandy - if you can have the sleep, I would take it!! Mmmmm, I love my bed!!

WAves to everyone else!! Willmouse - enjoy the sun and the garden!

BSL x

bluestarlavender · 15/08/2008 12:04

X-posts...

DD sorry about the BFN!! But I agree with CE it's probably too early!

MrsPuddleduck · 15/08/2008 12:20

I also got a Clearblue test, which is ironic as I am probably the person least likely to get pg on this thread or at least that's how it feels.

But Bluestar has reminded me of "the Secret" with things which you need coming to you and I am liking that theory!

I was asking my bonkers friend again last night, it is nothing to do with budhism but a blook which is all to do with the laws of attraction etc that everything you have in life you have because it came to you and you attracted it, nothing to do with fate etc. Aparently she has a friend who wanted a house which three other people also put offers in on. The friend imagined herself in the house, where she would put furniture etc and concentrated on it and in the end they accepted her offer!

Willmouse slinks off to imagine the clearblue test coming back positive........

Also I forgot to tell you all a great story......my friend who came around yesterday had a friend who was convinced she was pregnant. Went to the doctors and did four tests over a number of weeks all of which came back negative. She was still really ill so went back to the doctor banged her fist on the table and said she felt ill, she was throwing up all the time and that if she wasn't pregnant there was something seriously wrong with her. They sent her for a scan and it turned out she was four months pregnant

On that note I'm off back to the garden.....

HumphreysCorner · 15/08/2008 12:26

Hi all

Am feeling rough as have come down with a sore throat and it is all in my head and ears. Crap, crap, crap just as I am going on hols.

detox-sorry about your BFN but if that was an implantation dip on day 10 then it is at least a couple of days before levels rise.

Dawn-I put my name down for one of those tests. Hope the postman brings me one.

MJIM-have you been to the Drs? Hope it is better today.

Yes, daisyj, how are you?

Well, CD 27 and DPO 14 so AF due anytime today or tomorrow. Sounds strange but I can always smell AF before it starts and today, that distinct smell is there when I go for a wee. I must be like a dog because they always sniff you when you are on your AF.

Got to summon the energy to put some more bits in the caravan.

Love to all

HC
