New thread as requested (panic, panic) - hope the name will do?

OP posts:
Bellie · 14/08/2008 08:29

Morning all,

HC - hmm not wanting to raise your hopes but when I got my bfp I didn't sleep for the week before! No testing this morning? I still have a good feeling for you this month.

Heartmum - what a great picture, you look wonderful!

Ceebee - I hate it when midwives do that! Mine seems to be great so far, but only seen her twice and not seeing her again until 28 weeks!

CE - glad that you have got through the last couple of days, I think it is really helpful to set yourself targets especially at the beginning so you can see progress even if yu can't 'see' it iyswim

Willmouse - really hope that this month is your month xx

Juanitad - hope you have a great time in Ireland

MJIM - wow - nearly 33 weeks can hardly believe it! Have you got everything ready?

Planned to go to another soft play today with friends as the forecast was raining, but it is beautiful blue skies at the moment!

Bellie · 14/08/2008 08:29

oops meant to say fingers crossed for eeryone else on the 2ww xx

HumphreysCorner · 14/08/2008 08:37

No more testing Bellie. Can't deal with the disappointment.

Hi all, busy day today but?.

MJIM ? glad you had a good day yesterday and that you are feeling so well.

H2MJ ? Love the bump! Are you going to ask for a growth scan when you go for your next scan? I remember being told that DS2 was about 6lb (or similarly tiny) and thinking he was going to be small. Went out and bought small clothes which we wore for about a week because he was 7lb 8oz LOL!

CE ? stay positive. Someone I work with (who is completely bonkers) keeps telling me about ?the secret? ? I think it may be something to do with Budists - but anyway aparently if you have positive thoughts positive things will happen. Worth a try! I am a real glass is half empty person so I am finding it difficult but it does cheer you up if you put your mind to it and give it a go!

Mandy ? glad the appointment went well. C-scetions are not too bad and at least you can plan for them iyswim. I only found my second one bad because I already had a toddler. The first one wasn?t too bad as you only have a newborn to worry about!

Detox ? fingers crossed for you. It sounds positive anyway! Hope you are experiencing implantation!!

Ceebee ? what a pain about the appointment. It is the sort of thing I would do. That said I am a bit of a talker anyway (I was told by DH?s uncle that I could talk a glass eye to sleep ) so would probably have gone in next and talked for ages on principle

BSL ? hang on in there! Keep yourself busy and the time will soon go by!

HC ? it?s really strange to see you being semi-negative. You never know until AF arrives what is going to happen. You could do with getting more sleep though! Hope the weather picks up for you. It is sunny here ??.atm

Bellie ? hope the weather stays nice for you. We have friends coming around today so I am hoping the sun stays so I can boot all the kids out in the garden (as you can tell I am a great host!)

Daisy ? still no news? I hope you are OK and that the scan went well.

Right, must go, need to tidy before friends arrive.

Also I don?t know if you remember I told you DS1 had his teeth knocked loose at school and no-one noticed just before we went away on holiday. Well I thought they were OK until yesterday I noticed that all four of his bottom teeth are moving around freely in his gums but not wobbling back and forth like they do when they are about to drop out (plus he isn?t quite 5 yet so it is far too early). He?s off to the dentist later (I am sending him with DH in case he has to have them taken out or anything ? DH is fantastic with him).

I will check back tonight as DH is off out to the football and I will get a night to myself!

Hope everyone has a good day!

bluestarlavender · 14/08/2008 09:26

Morning everyone,

HC - the disturbed sleep sounds like a positive symptom...although not a nice one!! I agree that you temp won't be accurate for today. When I tossed and turned at the weekend my tossing and turning temp was very low!

Bellie - I hope the day stays nice and dry and sunny for you!

Willmouse - your poor little DS! I hope the dentist can help! Let us know how he gets on!

On the subject of teeth, after yesterdays cotton wool mouth, I woke up this morning and my mouth is quite sore. The sides of my mouth feel a little rough and my teeth ache, loads of them. Also sorry for the TMI, but when I brushed my teeth this morning, my mouth was pouring with blood. I will admit that some times my gums do bleed, but nothing like this. The brush against my teeth was a little sore, cos my gums were hurting. Has anyone else had this...? It might be a PG symptom, but I guess it also might not be! Yuck, I hate the dentist.

My only other symptom that I forgot to mention yesterday is that I've been getting very strange dreams for the past 3 nights. The first two nights were really vivid and horrible...I can't really remember now, but I was very upset in the night and they were about people dying! Last night, again strange dreams, but I just got annoyed alot in it...that was it.

Anyhow, I hope everyone else has a lovely day!

Willmouse, the next scan we have is to re-check the heart, but as it's at Birmingham, they do a full scan with meaurments anyway but I will mention to them about the supposed "big" baby I am carrying and get them to double check. This time around, I thinkI have all my bases covered with sleepsuits in newborn, 0-3 & 3-6...just in case, lol!

Ceebee. sorry to hear about your appt, that is really annoying. I don't have a MatB1 either as I am a SAHM. It only occured to me the other day that I have no maternity exemption certificate for prescriptions or dental treatment (seeing as I needed both on Tuesday). Thankfully they both agreed that it is more than obvious I am pregnant and not pretending, lol!

HC, just sending you hugs, you sound down. I do agree with Bellie, I didn't sleep well in the run up to my BFP.

Well, it's a beautiful day here so far, would make sense to wash bedclothes and baby stuff before the rain comes back. Pity I have to go buy more washing powder.

Have a great day everyone.

MrsPuddleduck · 14/08/2008 09:31

BSL - tmi alert - my gums bled really badly when pregnant both times. I had to go and have them checked by the dentist once a month before and then for a couple of months after I gave birth.

bluestarlavender · 14/08/2008 09:38

Willmouse - interesting and thanks!! You DS might not be the only one going to the dentist! Out of interest, did your teeth tingle? And also the inside of my cheeks feels a little rough, when I run my tongue over them. I'm not going to read too much into it just yet, I'm trying to think of anything I could have eaten that could have set it off...it feels like I've eaten too much salt or sour sweets...which I haven't.

Knax · 14/08/2008 10:20

OOh BSL - exciting re teeth symptoms. Sorry re getting your hopes up, but we have to think of the bonkers work colleague and the positive vibes!
HC - again sorry re hope up again but I had the lack of sleep thing when pg with DS - and I echo the positive bonkers vibes thing (Will have to go back and see who's colleague i keep quoting as I can't remember - sorry!)
I have a feeling AF is on her way, which is good as I'll be back on the horse after that. Have been quite in the mood for lots of "practising" at the moment iyswim sorry - TMI, which i hope bodes well for when I start to TTC again! Hormones are a funny old beast aren't they?
Knax xx

Knax · 14/08/2008 10:24

Ahh, Willmouse's bonkers colleague.
Ooh the shame of my post below - whose not who's
Also am bit re Willmouse' or Willmouse's...

Mandy73 · 14/08/2008 10:40

Detoxdiva thinking of you, hang in there. I tested BFP the day before AF was due because I had been feeling so different.

MJIM but your bump is fab too! V cute.

Ceebee happy all is well but ? that woman! Thanks for being understanding ? people can be so quick telling you about CS risks but not so much with VB . I know the best for mum & baby is complication free VB ? however only 50% are complication free and you can?t choose! Second safest is elective CS which you can choose so it was a no-brainer for us. Further, our levels of worry and knowledge can be counter productive in labour (which MW also pointed out) and we are unbelievably happy & relieved she listened & understood.

Bluestar well done you for trying not to obsess. blood pumping gums was one of my early PG symptoms ? it?s v common I hear. Mine often bleed a bit but nothing like that. Fingers crossed for you!!

HC you?ve done so well. How are you feeling? Good on you for staying off the wee sticks ? there?s just nothing good coming from early testing.

Bellie beautiful morning here but they say it?s going to get horrible & autumnal by lunch time.

Willmouse thank you, that?s great to hear. Aaaw your poor DS ? hope all goes well at dentist and you enjoy your evening.

HM2J I?m not hopeful the rain will stay away...

Knax it?s not over until the b*tch sings. Fingers crossed!

Waves to everyone else, hope you have a good day. x

MJIM please don't worry - sounds like mild piles or a bit of a stool-related tear to me (the achy bum speaks in favour of this too)! Not nice though - I'm sorry! x

OP posts:
bluestarlavender · 14/08/2008 11:15

MJIM - I agree with Mandy, sounds like a stool-related tear! It's very common to graze your insides and get blood. I hope it doesn't develop in to piles and just stops for you now!

Knax · 14/08/2008 12:30

OOh My job - hope it's gone now. while we're on the TMI i've had piles too which only came back with a vengeance after a midwife told me to stop taking fybogel before I had DS because "a Dr hadn't prescribed it". (Has cleared up now - phew). I think she was secretly worried with me taking laxative before giving birth because she may end up wearing it!! (Now that really is TMI!)
x

Heartmum2Jamie · 14/08/2008 13:56

Hugs MJIM, it is always scarey to see blood, no matter where it is coming from. It does sound like pregnancy related piles to me too and I can totally relate as have had them in all my pregnancies. I have had a look at your bump, you are so neat and tidy and look lovely, not a heffer like me then, lol! Don't get me wrong, I love my bump, but it is HEAVY and being all out front gets in the way somewhat

Washing got rained on, but it's glorious again now...Grrrr! Best stripe the beds quickly then, guess the baby stuff will have to wait. Would have done this earlier, only the in-laws decided to come and visit

detoxdiva · 14/08/2008 15:19

Hi all

MJIM - hope you are feeling a bit better.

Thanks to everyone for their good luck wishes. I am trying to keep positive and hopeful, but today my temp dipped to the lowest it's been since ov - just below the coverline on the ff chart. I am now dpo 10 and I do feel different to how I normally do before af arrives (ie brown cm and this stomach 'ache' - don't normally get those symptoms until af has arrived). However, the temp dip has worried me and makes me think af is on its way.

HC - how are you today?

Waves to everyone else, esp those on the 2ww

bluestarlavender · 14/08/2008 16:11

DD - just wanted to say that I think your temp dip could be caused by implantation! [hopeful emoticon]

BSL x

detoxdiva · 14/08/2008 16:19

BSL - I hope so

How are you holding out anyway - what day is it for you now?

bluestarlavender · 14/08/2008 16:27

Hey DD, I think I'm either on 9DPO or 5DPO. I suspect it's 5. I'm okay. My mouth is still very red and sore and I have to admit to having a nap this afternoon, but I think it was just a big lunch. I'm just waiting and seeing day by day! Not really holding my breath to be honest!

BSL x

Heartmum2Jamie · 14/08/2008 17:47

DD, I have seen plenty of charts with dips below coverline at about 10 dpo result in a BFP, keep your chin up. I have everything crossed for you.

Embarrassing as it is you should probably go to docs Myjob. They may give you something to take pain away a bit.....

HumphreysCorner · 14/08/2008 20:09

MJIM-I am sure it is PG piles but ya really ought to pop along to the GP tomorrow to check it out. Hope it doesn't get any worse.

detox-don't give up yet as there are a few more days of temping left yet. I have to admit that I caved in and did a test BFN so now I know I am not PG as AF due tomorrow or day after. Sorry everyone, I am a hopeless case but am definitely not testing anymore.

Got the grass cut this afternoon-it was very long then it rained so cut half of it in the torrential rain. Got drenched.

Love to all

HC
