Morning all

Temp has dropped lots this morning so think it is all over for me this month. Had a bluestar temping experience as I woke early and took a temp of 36.64 then fell back asleep and took temp an hour later on waking and it was 37.05. Have used the first temp and preparing myself for the arrival of the witch.

Good luck to the rest of you.

DD2 not well so don't know if I will be going shopping.

Love to all

I am well and so is bump. Haven't caught up with posts yet, so I hope everyone else is well too and managing to deal with this horrible summer rain!

Here is my update, then I'll be back some time next week

I will add myself to the list for the last time. If I don't get any joy this month I think I'm out until January but its because I've already booked next years' holiday so I can't really complain

Daisy - good luck today - I am thinking of you.

HC - I know nothing about temping but surely you can't use a temperature two hours before you usually take it??? Especially in the middle of the night??? I wouldn't give up yet.

Mjob - enjoy your day.

Just adding myself to the stats! I will try and get my newest belly pic up shortly, just need to tart it up a little in photshop!

Willmouse, thanks for the explaination about the growth charts. Baby was definately head down, bum up, and back was to the front on my right. Having said that, baby's head was floating quite freely above my pelvic rim. Oh well, he will be the size he will be. Just imagine how long I can string out being "superwoman" if I give birth to an 11lb whopper!

ChocolateEclair · 13/08/2008 16:29

hi!

lovely to hear from HM2J, juanitad and willmouse. fingers crossed for this month hey willmouse! HM2J - looking forward to seing your latest bump pic! lol!

MJIM - sounds like a lovely morning! Hope you are not too tired though! Have a little rest now hey!

HC - not sure about which temp to take to be honest! You will just have to wait and see! 37.05 would be a pg temp for me though!!!!! (I have got everything crossed for you I really do) xxxxxxx

Big hello to everyone else on this wet wednesday!

Well today is d day. My first milestone! 7 weeks! I'm having a bit of a wobble tbh. Made the mistake of doing a pg test this morning (God only knows why I put myself through this!), and it seemed a bit less dark than last weeks one. I'm now panicking obviously and doing a fair bit of knicker checking. I had to go shopping again to take my mind of it! If I can get through today though I know I'll be ok!
CE xx

Knax · 13/08/2008 16:47

Hi to all,
thinking of you Choc - try to keep busy to keep your mind off it!
knax xx

Heartmum2Jamie · 13/08/2008 17:31

CE!!!! Put those wee sticks down!!! I speak from experience here, I also tested once or twice a week until I was about 9 weeks and kept getting myself all panicky when the tests were lighter than the previous one. Trust me, don't do this to yourself. Big hugs for the wobble though, I do understand. Just take it little steps at a time, make your next milestone a little one so it doesn't seem so far away. I had a wobbly day yesterday too as it was the anniversary of the D&C I had to have after my miscarriage, the day "Boo" was gone from my body even though we knew she was gone (we felt it was a girl) the week before. It's been 5 years but it doesn't mean it passes me by without thinking of her.

I would love to show you my latest belly pic, but for some strange reason, my profile keeps freezing after I try and upload it . Maybe this will work? img.photobucket.com/albums/v439/connorsmum/P1040735.jpg Please excuse the bare belly. I take these first thing in the morning as I am getting dressed to show my true shape....ie before I eat/drink anything! I think I actually look a little smaller with a top on

ChocolateEclair · 13/08/2008 18:02

wowee! Heartmum - that is a pretty amazing bump!I think it looks fantastic! What do your ds's think of it? and baby bro's impending arrival?
Thanks for what you wrote - I feel like a numpty for doing it but just couldn't help myself! I am duly chastised and will stop! Sorry about your anniversary of losing your baby, I guess these things never leave you but they must ease with time.
What should my next milestone be then? I think it could be a scan, hopefully 9 weeks? That might be a sensisble wait!

Knax - thanks also. It's so great to be able to come on here and not feel like a lunatic for thinking/feeling these crazy thoughts! I would never mention these things to friends/family in RL so it is good to have an outlet!

DP wants to see the new Batman flick so might drag him out seing as it's orange weds 2for1. Should keep me occupied!

CE xx

Mandy73 · 13/08/2008 19:13

Evening all,

I hope everyone's OK.

Heartmum I can't see your bump pic only lovely boys, scans & tents!

CE congratulations on the milestone! I totally understand your wobble but I'm sure you'll be fine. We're on egg shells since the scare and I'm knicker checking obsessively.

Hugs to everyone else, so sorry I can't keep up with you all right now but crossing everything for you lovely ladies on the horrendous 2ww. Have some baby dust why doncha?

Saw midwife for booking appt. today. She took lots of my blood but was generally lovely. Also she turned out to be v respectful & understanding re. our deeply rooted wish for an elective caesarian (both DH and I have younger relatives v damaged during vag births so a bit of a shared trauma and something we put lots of thought & research into) although she's a real home-birth/all-things-'natural' champion. It feels like a massive weight off and she's referred me to a really good consultant.

Have a good evening all. xx

CE: I think 9 weeks is a realistic next milestone

Mandy: I am glad your midwife is so understanding. To see my pic, click the link in the post above, it should take you to the pic on my photbucket account

HM2J sorry for being dim PG - W O W what a lovely bump. Proud and shapely. Loving the skirt too.

Hi all

Have logged on after a hard day at work and a row with dh . How do men just know how to wind you up...he's now fallen asleep on the sofa so I plan to toddle off to bed later and leave him there !!

HC - It's not over yet love, keeping my fingers crossed for you - there is still hope

CE - great milestone! Good to hear all is well with you.

HM2J - beautiful bump. Not long now

Flirty - hope the chaos eases soon - and that af hurries up so you can get down the the serious issue of bd'ing

Mandy - good to hear you have an understanding m/w. Glad all is well

Well, temp is still high here - had a tiny bit of brown cm again today, but still have a strange 'awareness' of the pit of my stomach. Not a pain or even an ache, just aware of it if that makes any sense. Desperate to test, but know that dpo 9 is waaaaay to early

Evening all

CE - glad today is over for you and as others have said, take one day at a time and set yourself little milestones - and time does start to fly as you progress further. The distraction of Batman sounds like a great idea!

HM2J - wow, I love your bump! Mine starts from right under my boobs so I look a bit odd tbh!! Would love one like yours!!

Detox - men are moody gits sometimes aren't they? Toddling off to bed sounds like a plan to me (for me, usually with a book )

Mandy - so glad your MW was supportive - I bet you were dreading asking! Honestly, the recovery from a cs really isn't that bad at all! I have a friend who gave birth a month after me naturally but it was such an horrific birth (I won't go into details!) that she suffered way more than I did afterwards so I can imagine why you and DH have your concerns.

Hi to everyone else (Juanitad - lovely to hear from you, even if it was just for a fleeting visit!)

Went to the MW today - all is well with baby Sam However, am really annoyed with myself (and the MW's) as one woman was in there for well over half an hour (the appointments were for 10 minutes) which I thought was ok if there was something wrong etc - when she eventually came out, she knew one of the other women waiting and was like' oh I have been sat in there gabbing away' - in the meantime, there were 4 of us all sat outside waiting! So I went in next and got rushed through so fast, it was unbelievable (i.e 'lie on the bench, listen to heartbeat for 10 seconds, right get up now etc)! And the upshot of that was I forgot to ask for my MatB1 certificate which I really wanted so I could sort my mat leave out officially....grrr .

Sorry to have a rant but it really annoyed me and I am now annoyed with myself that I forgot why I went there in the first place!!

Anyway, hope you are all having a good evening.

Hi everyone,

I've been trying to stay away and not obsess on the 2WW.

Just wanted to say hi to everyone!

HC - I'd go with the higher temp! Fingers crossed for another one tomorrow!

DD - how are you feeling? You sound very positive! Bloomin' men!

Ceebee - How annoying about that woman and the MW's. But I'm glad everything is all good with Baby Sam

Mandy and Bellie - glad your MW appointments went so well!

HM2J - Great picture! Your bump looks fab!

Flirty - good to hear from you. Hope you're okay.

Juanitad - hope you are having lots of lovely holiday!!

BB - wow, sounds like you are having an interesting break too! not sure about the wet mountainside...hope the sun comes out soon!

MJIM - how cute your DS is!! You must have been a little choked! I was just reading that!!

CE - so glad you've reached the 7 week milestone! I'm sorry you had a wobble...although it's very understandable.

Knax - how are you doing?

Willmouse - where are you going on holiday??

As for me, well, got the same weird cramping I had last cycle. Not alot more for me, except a cotton woolly tasting mouth and loads of creamy CM - I guess the grapefruit juice is still working! To be honest, I suspect I'm only on 4DPO, so not a whole lot going on.

Sorry if I've missed anyone...big waves.

BSL x

Heartmum2Jamie · 13/08/2008 22:38

MJIM, I left a message for you in FFP.

HumphreysCorner · 14/08/2008 08:19

Morning ladies

ChocEclair-hope you feel more relaxed today. I understand how you feel.

detox, bluestar, Flirty and belgianbun-everything crossed for you all.

Heartmum-fab bump pic. I love looking at all your bumps.

ceebee-some people MatB1's need sorting sooner rather than later. With DD1 work lost my MatB1 (said I'd never given them one ) so had to ask for another.

Nice to hear from knax, Mandy, juanitad and willmouse.

FF said to use the lower temp as that was taken after more sleep. I couldn't sleep last night but didn't bother temping at 2 in the morning or 3 or 4 so just took it at 7am and marked it as sleep deprived. So I think my temps are far from accurate.

Wet day yet again so off to meet my friends later this morning. Hi to everyone else.
