HC - Thanks so much! Can't bloody believe that I spent all my energy getting DH to BD around CD10 now...and didn't do a bloody thing around CD16!? Still...I know now!

bluestarlavender · 08/08/2008 13:50

HC - I think I'm OVing now! Just did a OPK test and the line came up quite fast and much darker than the previous couple of days. I've also been checking CM and cervix position and feel. I've had lots of EWCM today and yesterday and also cervix is very soft, high and open. I've been checking all week and noticed a big change yesterday from Mon/Tues when it was really hard and closed. I need to jump DH now!! But he's at work, Grrr! Plus we're off to Jersey tomorrow morning and won't be able to BD tomorrow night!! I'm praying we won't miss the egg!

Very confused by the temps, if I am right though!

HumphreysCorner · 08/08/2008 13:57

bluestar-your temp is far too high to be pre OV. It is possible to OV twice so we will see what happens. Be interesting to see your next few days temps but as you are away you won't be able to update will you?

HC - I'm taking my macbook with me. I have a vodafone modem stick thing, but I don't know if I can use it in Jersey.

I have my blackberry too, so will try to post!!

Arrrhh! I am panicking!

bluestarlavender · 08/08/2008 14:01

Oh...if I OV twice, could I have twins?? They run in my family! My mum's a twin!

BSL x

HumphreysCorner · 08/08/2008 14:02

Don't panic as a +ive OPK means OV in the next 24-48 hours so do your best in the BDing department.

bluestarlavender · 08/08/2008 15:22

I'll be very happy to just get one fertilised egg this month, let alone two!

Twins - that would be great, though!! It's very obvious I don't have small people, isn't it!!

ceebee74 · 08/08/2008 15:43

FGS look what I miss by being at work Yummy Rafa Did he look just scrummy? (Although I am guessing he had his arms covered up and was not picking his pants out of his bum )

MJIM - lol at your milk - is it really bad?? I never had that with DS (for a reason as it turned out as I didn't produce any at all even after he was born!!) Is it time for the breast pads now

HumphreysCorner · 08/08/2008 15:50

ceebee-Rafa was wearing the Spanish Suit/Uniform. Hair was flowing though. Yum!

Lol-I read that MJIM was asking for milk as she wasn't getting maternity pay on time.

Which is the correct version MJIM?

ceebee74 · 08/08/2008 16:19

HC - enough now, you are just rubbing it in!! Guess the highlights will be on later but I suppose it depends whether the BBC feel Rafa is a 'highlight'!!

detoxdiva · 08/08/2008 16:36

Blimey - I disappear for 2 days and you lot go mad again...going to do my best to catch up..

HC - how are you holding up?? The waiting is just awful isn't it - and I'm only dpo 4 Have you gone mad sympton spotting....wierd about your mums comment though..I haven't notived anything yet, and am just trying to keep busy to take my mind off it.

Dawn - love the photos! Hope you are feeling a bit better. I have suffered with ance since forever and I went on the pill aged 17 to deal with it, but since having dd I have not gone back on it as I didn't agree with the hormones. Needless to say I still suffer at various times of the month . Another reason I want to get pg as my skin just glowed all the time I was pg and breastfeeding! Hopefully they will clear up for you soon - if not, see your gp - there are some good topical creams that will help.

Mandy - glad to hear you had a good anniversary. Loved the dress!

Daisy - shame about the scan, so good muck with the waiting for 12 weeks

BSL - sounds like ov is imminent - get bd'ing as much as possible in advance of the egg setting off - good luck!! have a lovely time in Jersey too.

MJIM - hope you get your MA sorted asap. lol about the milk!!

Bellie - hope you had a lovely day - I feel broody for you with that baby around!!

Knax - hope you get a decent nights sleep tonight.

I know I'll have missed loads of people, but need to go and sort out dd's tea - catch you later x

HumphreysCorner · 08/08/2008 16:56

Doing my head in detox-need a glass of wine and about to cave in. Have asked DH to call at the Chinese being as though it is the start of the Beijing Olympics. Feel quite stressed out now that test day is approaching-just haven't got the strength not to test. Hope you are OK.

Hi everyone
Hope you are all feeling good today. LOL at the milk mix up, and you all swooning over Rafa!

I think I should really keep off here today, but what the heck, I will burden you lot for a change

Today I am 6w2d and just coming up to the part where it all went wrong last time (6w5d). I thought I was coping really well but I'm having a very bad day today. Have done a pg test , keep running to the loo every 5 mins knicker checking etc . I know really that I'm being stupid but I don't know how to snap myself out of it! Any advice would be very gratefully received. I hope to speak to the midewife tomorrow but prob won't be offered a scan until 9 weeks which is almost 3 weeks away but feels like a year!

Sorry for being so self absorbed, I do have my fingers crossed for you all on the 2ww as well

DawnAS · 08/08/2008 17:09

Hey CE,

I don't know that I'm going to be much help because I know that when it eventually gets to my next time, I will be the same.

But all I will say is that I just bumped into a girl and blurted out about my MC because she asked me how I was (I hardly know her - bizarre!), and she went on to tell me that she had a MC at 10 weeks and then after a couple of months was PG again and now has an 11 year old boy!!

Every PG is different and last time your body just wasn't ready. This time will be different. Last time was to prepare your body and warn it what it needed to handle. Now it knows, it'll be a lot more prepared.

I know that I'll be asking you for the same support when it comes to me trying again, but just keep the faith hun!!

detoxdiva · 08/08/2008 17:21

HC - have a glass of wine and enjoy it...I am going to tonight . Think the chinese is an excellent idea...how many dpo are you now??

CE - I have no advice as not been in this situation, but just wanted to say am thinking of you, and as Dawn excellently puts it, this time is different, last time wasn't meant to be - have confidence in your self and your body to get you through the next 3 weeks x

bluestarlavender · 08/08/2008 18:03

CE - all I can suggest is that you keep as busy as possible and that way you won't have time to think too much. What do you have planned for the next 3 days?? I would go shopping, go to the cinema, anything you can to be as busy as you can be! Dawn's advice is totally true too! This isn't the same situation as last time...this is a fresh start and a completely different pregnancy. Good luck, hun! And Dawn - we'll all be there for you too when you get to 5 weeks PG!! And hopefully it'll be soon!

DD - I'm jumping DH as soon as he gets in the door!

I am convinced I'm OVing now...I have my usual ovary ache...also went out and bought some clearblue OV sticks and have a very convincing positive! Not sure why I don't trust the ebay ones...I've done two of those today too - with very clear positives (just like the test line!!). I hate all these sticks, but I can't help but pee on them!! I think it's the joy of seeing a positive result, albeit's not a PG test! how sad am I???

HC - I totally agree with you about the temps, but I can't risk not catch the egg...it's a weird cycle for me!! Very jeaous of the takeaway!! We're having Morrocan fish stew, which I really need to go and make now!! But I want chinese instead!

MJIM - sorry, I might have missed it...what was the answer about the milk...were you asking for milk, or producing it?? I got confused

BSL x

ChocolateEclair · 08/08/2008 18:14

Dawn, detox and BSL - thank you so much for your kind words and suggestions. DP has the weekend off so hopefully we will keep busy. I think I might have a chat with him tonight and share my worries. I do appreciate all your responses, Dawn especially, you can def count on my support when it's your turn (soon I reckon!). Every little twinge or odd feeling is maiking me worried, and I guess there is going to be a lot more weirdness and twinges to come!

BSL - I say trust your instincts not the temps and send in some troops! How exciting would it be though if it was twins!!!! Good Luck and happy BDing!

HC - try to hold off testing just a little longer if you can! Maybe the advice given to me would be good, about keeping busy and keeping your mind off it! It's so hard though isn't it!!!! Good Luck!

Caved in and had the wine and sweet and sour pork cantonese style with fried rice. Feel so much better (sort of) Wondering if I feel lousy because I stopped taking my multivitamins on Monday-would it make a difference already?

detox-am 7 DPO and it is torture. Wish I could fast forward time. Enjoy your wine.

ChocEclair-I wish I could say something that would help but having MC at 12 weeks I found the first 12 weeks until the scan dreadful. Every ache and cramp made me fear the worst. With DD1 I never thought anything could go wrong even when my mum warned me about being in early stages and things happening. Big, big squeeze for you. {{xx}}

MJIM-lol at your leaking milk. Never had this with DD2 perhaps because DD1 was bottle fed. Maybe this time I might have a better supply as it was rubbish when feeding DD2.

Right, having my cuppa and more choc fingers.

CE, how can I put this without it sounding bad... Ok I'm just going to say it. I wonder whether you might be better to limit your time on MN, just for the weekend maybe. I know that sounds strange and it's difficult because even though we don't know each other, we're all quite close (I think), but the temptation to google every ache and pain, not only causes more worry, but also makes time pass very slowly. There are also lots of "sad" threads on here that you may be tempted to look at and start imagining similar symptoms.

I would really treat yourself. Have some nice smelly NOT HOT baths, eat some lovely food that you really fancy, watch some chick flicks, have lots of cuddles with your DH and all this will help the time pass quicker. Every day passed is one step closer to a healthy PG!!

I hope you understand what I mean and I'm not suggesting you disappear (obviously ), but fun distractions will make the time pass easier. I know that your mind will still half be on what's happening, but it might just make it more bearable.

Everything will be fine for you this time, I have faith, but you need to look after yourself and enjoy the time....

Sending you lots of hugs and kisses.

xxx

PS: Remind me of all this when it comes to my turn!!
