Well, I'd like to start this thread by saying a BIG FAT CONGRATULATIONS to everyone who has managed to get their BFP so far, and an equally huge dollop of luck to all those of us waiting for our BFP's!

Oh Babytime, I am so sorry for you. I think you and your Dh need to sit down and talk over things properly. What has actually changed in the last month money wise? Maybe draw up a budget and show him you can afford it? Explain what you are willing to give up money wise (e.g manicures, expensive make up, daily starbucks, hello magazine, eating out, take aways, pubs etc) to make this happen.

Heebeejeebee · 11/07/2008 17:07

HI Babytime

I have this a lot (been ttc for ever and a day it feels like) - I've been convinced I'm pregnant and feel so let down by myself....

Do you definitely have to put it on hold? I work on the basis that we'll find the money from somewhere - as Playing says - giving up extras (that in reality with a new baby you're not going to have time to do anyway)?

Playingthe9monthwait · 11/07/2008 17:12

Exactly Heebee. We have virtually scrapped our going out budget from the equation because as just won't be able to do that once baby is here, so thats a £250 saving in itself.

Playingthe9monthwait · 11/07/2008 17:14

Right I am off home now. Have a lovely weekend everyone and I will "see" you all on Monday.

babytime · 11/07/2008 18:04

Thanks for being nice.

I'm just feeling sorry for myself and already starting to feel better.

Tomorrow I will be more positive.

Re: Money, I know I can talk him around. Our youngest is two and we still have everything from her to use again inc clothes. I breast feed for the first year so even if things are tight now we can get through the next two years without spending too much on a third.

I honestly do not spend much on myself, I am not a manicure, starbucks mag kind of mummy. I dont know how anyone would find the time for that. I am very un-materialistic and easily pleased with the cheapest of stuff but still make effort with my looks. Even if I was rich I could not bring myself to spend lots of money on material things and expensive make up although I would not say no to weekly facials or massages or lie ins!!!

Lets see, in 10-12 days time I might just have to make a special dinner, get some wine in and do my magic on him.

With you guys around I'm sure I'll pull through.

I hope we will all get to start a Due April 2009 thread soon.

Hugs

babytime · 11/07/2008 18:06

But just one quick more moan...

How annoying that I got an evaporation line, I did not realise they were that common.

Cosmogirl · 11/07/2008 19:18

Hi,

Hope AF stays away for those due this weekend.
Hi Babytime - sorry to hear the evil witch got you. Glad that you are feeling bit better.

GruffaloSoldier · 11/07/2008 20:14

Hi everyone,

I have been out this afternoon/eve so have only just logged on. Still no sign of AF although have had some twinges and also quite a lot of CM???

Hi Babytime, sorry to hear of your AF. Glad to hear your starting to feel better. Yes work your magic on your DH- good luck with it!

Cosmogirl · 11/07/2008 20:23

Hi GS, really hope AF stays away for you. I really don't think this is our month. Would be far too lucky if we fell straight away. Got a party this weekend and am going to have a few drinks I think.....no point denying myself yet is there?

GruffaloSoldier · 11/07/2008 20:29

No, I'm sure a few wont hurt. Yeah not sure if Im feeling too lucky but I guess its not over yet! Anyway, I quite like the idea of a April baby!!

Cosmogirl · 11/07/2008 20:33

Yeah, would love an April baby. Our chosen girl's name is likely to be April, so would be cool to have April in April! Plus April is also our 4th wedding anniversary. Good luck anyway, the rate this thread is going, we surely are due another 2 or 3 BFPs this month!

GruffaloSoldier · 11/07/2008 20:49

Oh that would be quite good then! There are no birthdays in my family in April so think it would be good, and also that is when it starts warming up!Maybe a silly reason but thats why Thanks for the luck. It is driving me mad not knowing either way!

babytime · 11/07/2008 20:51

Cosmogirl, I would love an April baby too and I love the name April. One of my girls was born in

May and is her name too.

But that might be a bit weird to have children named April and May... I quite like June too

GS - I'm keeping everything crossed for you.

This period must have been held back by my sheer willpower to be pregnant because its coming in drips and rabs and not like my usual gushing red river sorry for being graphic but its true. Whenever I have changed my pad today, nothing much is there and its browny coloured. But when I wipe myself after wee's there is red blood. I know its a period its just different to my usual.

My body has been so cruel to me this month so have the tests, my period moan moan moan!

Oh I am feeling sorry for myself again

Slaps self around the head!

Tonight I cheered myself up with a larger than normal glass of red vino! - it was delicious and if I was not on I would be having sex right now... and if I'd shaved my legs.

GruffaloSoldier · 11/07/2008 21:11

Aw babytime, you have had it rough! You can moan all you want - its not good to keep things bottled up. So let it all hang out

The red vino sounds like a good move. I quite fancy some now

calsworld · 11/07/2008 21:23

Evening Laydeez....

NJ - quick post for you, ummm, saw this and thought of you!

My tummy was hurting again this evening but have followed Glaskham's tip from last night and had a lovely soak in a hot bath, now feel much better!

Also had a sneaky trip to Boots on the way home and took advantage of the BOGOF offer - shhhh don't tell DH I've spent more money on tests !

OP posts:
GruffaloSoldier · 11/07/2008 22:08

Hi cals - yes BOGOF is good! So you are all ready for Monday then. I think I am going to test tomorrow. Still no sign of AF, but tomorrow could be the day.

GYo · 12/07/2008 06:38

Morning GYo - what on earth are you doing up so early when you don't have to be?! I could quite happily still be in bed, but DS has been awake since 6 :-(
Ah, the joys of parentood - and we're doing it all again?!!!!
Hope you had a lovely evening celebrating with DH (pg brain set in already and now I'm wondering if it really was you who got BFP yesterday?)

GYo · 12/07/2008 08:02

Good Morning Star!

You are right I should still be in bed - it was me who had the BFP yesterday so i guess Im still in shock! Also have massive headache which woke me up... Im craving those painkillers

DH and I were planning an evening of celebration but were in bed for 9.30pm! He spent most of evening staring at me and feeling my belly. Which is lovely. He really is happy and its making me even happier.

How are you doing? Are you joining the Due March 09 ante-natal thread?

When did you start getting a bump?

kookykid · 12/07/2008 09:37

Aaaaaaaaaaaargh!!! Still no AF and another BFN this morning. what the hell is going on??? GS and Cals - what's up with us, eh???

Am going to Boots today to get some more tests. Cal, I was wondering if AF has been delayed because we OV'd late this cycle? If we OV'd on day20/21 then we should really be due AF tomorrow or Monday I guess. What do you think? Won't be around much today as have my BF and her DP here, but will try and check back later.

m0nkeynuts · 12/07/2008 09:40
