Bella23 · 02/02/2005 09:23

I am honestly doing ok - still disappointed but am now just really determined!
I have decided that I will give myself a couple of nmonths of eating what I want and then will pull my boots up and start cutting out the crap!
How long have you been on the hamster wheel of ttc?

yingers74 · 02/02/2005 09:27

Nikkichik · 02/02/2005 11:48

Hi there
Have been away for a while so missed the end of the last thread - have been getting a bit low lately so have been trying to distance myself from obsessive 'why aren't I pregnant yet' behaviour but not succeeding (have been ttc No2 for about 9 months now! and am 38!) Keep thinking that I'm expending too much emotional energy worrying about not getting pregnant when I do already have a beautiful nearly 3 year old dd and I should be focusing on her! Also am nosey and want to find out how you lot are getting on! Do we have any newly pregnant ladies recently?
As for me, af due any day now but am resigned to the fact that it will probably arrive. Have got myself a Persona so hopefully this will help with the timing aspect - if I can figure out how to use it properly - it's more complicated than I expected!

Hulababy · 02/02/2005 11:51

Hi all; just popping in and out briefly. Feeling really horrid with flu right now. Hoping it'll pass soon, but Dr. says liekly to drag on, especially as I ahve been so run down and feeling very stressed for so long as well. Hurt all over - just better feel better before end of next week - my birthday and also mid cycle/OV time!

Good luck everyone. let's hope we get out first graduate from this new thread soon.

Nikkichik · 02/02/2005 12:04

Poor you Hula - hope you feel better soon. I felt really crap earlier in the week (all achy and shivery) but it went away so fingers crossed it doesn't come back - next week dh is away in Belfast for a work conference thingy!)

pacinofan · 02/02/2005 12:24

Hi, I'd like to join this thread too, am also on the 'old duffers' thread at the ripe old age of 37!!

I have a lovely dd who is just 2 now, we have been ttc for a few months now. Unfortunately, we had an early miscarriage in December. We allowed one cycle before trying again, and it looks like we haven't been successful this month. Thing that really annoys me about all this, is that there is no logic to becoming pregnant. I successfully used contraception for many years, so (naively) I assume that when I stop using it I will become pregnant. However, my body seems to have other ideas!! Really glad I didn't splash out on yet another preggie test yesterday now.

Nikkichik - your message really hit home, I feel exactly the same, and I too keep telling myself how lucky we are to be blessed with a gorgeous, healthy daughter, and to just try and concentrate on other things instead of getting myself wound up. Difficult though, we so want a brother/sister for her.

Well, that's me, let's hope this thread will bring us all lots of luck!

Tania2 · 02/02/2005 12:25

G'day girls just thought i would quickly pop in.

OMG cant belive that its number 18 already i started at number 6 .

Hope you are all well and that Feb is our month.

Everyday i think of you girls Jeddah, Hester, Hula, Munz, Fastasleep and anyone else that i used to chat too. Missing you gals but just feel that i dont really belong in this group anymore IYKWIM but please remember that i will still be popping by to check WHEN you gals get that BFP

Love to you all and lots & lots of Babydust to everyone on thread 18.

Tania

jessicasmummy · 02/02/2005 12:28

Positivity!!! Thats what we all need! cd16 here... so hopefully the bding last night may have caught just in time. not getting my hopes too high though. Funny period last month - 3 days of very light spotting type period, but was obviously enough! Lets keep going and and we will get there... i know we will!

Bella23 · 02/02/2005 12:32

Tania - good luck with the ivf drugs.
Totally agree Pacinofan that we spend ages trying not to get pregnant that it seems madness now to be having so much difficulty!
"All good things come to those who wait" my Nan always said and she was a very wide old woman so we just have to wait for our time.

triceratops · 02/02/2005 13:57

I'm feeling positive, I've got crocuses blooming in my garden, spring is starting to spring and the sap is rising.

Ds was conceived accidentally on after a very good valentines dinner and good champagne. Must be why he is always so bubbly . So this is a good time of year for me.

Good luck everyone.

Hulababy · 02/02/2005 14:02

Tania - good luck with the IVF. Do pop in and let use know how it is going. I have everything crossed for you and hope it works out really soon. Take care and good luck

munnzieb · 02/02/2005 14:16

munnzieb · 02/02/2005 15:04

Tania - good luck hon (((((hugs)))))) course you still belong here, (thats if you wanna!) hows DS at the mo? thinkin of u and DH, (when do they do their thing at the hosp? either way good luck hon, and hopefully you'll be starting us off on the next thread!)

Hula - hope your feelin better soon hon!

romilly · 02/02/2005 15:27

gawd, i stopped by to add myself to this thread last nite and its gone ballistic already! know some of you already - from the duffers and the m/c threads - but to all i don't hello and may this be the start of many happy BFP's.

ernest · 02/02/2005 15:29

bella - i take it you mean your nan was a very wise woman, lol

I'm in similar pos. to jm re last cycle & am now cd 14. Still feeling v tired. Finding it hard to muster up energy or enthusiam for bd. Need a stern talking to or I'll never concieve.

I read through my pg diary from ds1 & I was siging I'd put on half a stone already by 10 weeks & "am now 8 & 3/4 stone"!!!!!!! Blimey, I can't remember being 8 1/4 stone, but it really depressed me, cos I'm def not that now. I've been doing like you munzieb, ah well, I'mm ttc so I'll get fat anyway & I'll just loose it all at once after baby's born. Ha - who am I kidding?????

good luck Tania, & everyone else too of course, & hope you're feeling better soon Hula

munnzieb · 02/02/2005 15:33

lol@earnest!, oh yes that wa my idea, (not that it's working, just had a nice big cream slice!)

Bella23 · 02/02/2005 15:34

Earnest - yes meant wise old woman - but actually she was quite wide also !!

cockenzie · 02/02/2005 16:09

hi iamback.lunch was so good...so good to see Frances again.had my coffee (coffeeholic and my scone) and we had a good chat

munn and all of you who have been trying for ages (6months +).have u been to doc and asked whats going on? or any of yous b/feeding?

munnzieb · 02/02/2005 16:40

I ahve yes, my hormones seem ok, and i'm on the waiting list for the gyno as my dr won't do anything until I've seen her, the list's gone from 3 months to 6, i'm so about it all, bloody cheek, apparently she runs two ... yes two clinics a month, and one of the other dr's is on suspention - like that's my problem the state of the bloody NHS, we looked into Bupa but it will be far too expensive for us to do. and we can't afford all of that plus the exp of a child ( I know what sounds clinical, but i'm 22 so we'll see, if we're not PG within 6 months of DH coming home when maybe I will do yes)

Nikkichik · 02/02/2005 16:41

My Mum tactfully asked me the other day when I was going to go to the Docs to find out if everything was OK. Have thought about it (dh not keen) but am scared! - what do I say?

cockenzie · 02/02/2005 16:45

scared of what?

munn, how often does dh come bak home?
where does 'munnzieb' come from?
