bluestar and roseca Welcome to the thread and to AC. It's a huge learning curve but the girls here will help you through I don't think there's anything these girls don't know between them!
I think my next lot of IVF may be delayed as my GP wants me to take up the IVF doctor's offer of a lap and dye to see what's going on with my tubes. After that I think we'll wait a few months before IVF because I've read (and GP told me) that lap and dye can help 'clean out' partially blocked tubes. Obviously the EP shows at least one of my tubes is not totally blocked, so it might do some good.

Bluestar I am glad you have got a consultant's appointment, hope all goes well.

Nomore yes a lap & dye can clear out your tubes and they say you are quite fertile afterwards, so I should take advantage of the fact!

nomoremagnolia - thanks for welcoming me.I had a lap and dye thats when they found out what was wrong with me last year, went back to consultant gynae and he told me waiting list was 12-18 mnths (bak in March) got referred to 2 hospitals and one closest to me cut the list back to 6mths so got really lucky in that respect, aswell as getting married in may next year the best pressie i can give 2 my hubby 2b is a baby that is all i wish for

Nomore - so sorry to hear about the ectopic. Hope you can get back to tcc without it causing any further complications.

Lottie - glad to hear you are doing fine with the injections, and presumably that means you got through down regging without losing your mind?

MOB - huge congratulations!! Glad to see this thread is maintaining a successful run.

Swerve - I have been lurking on the multiples board, and am building up endless questions to ask, but I want to get through the 12 week scan first. Though I certainly feel awful enough to be having twins. Not complaining though! (well maybe a little, but very happy underneath the constant queasiness).

Hi Guys, my first scan (D6) today, a bit scary as there are only 2 follicles and they are quite small. The Dr wanted to check my bloods before continuing but seems my hormone levels are okay so this cycle looks like it WON'T be abandoned (TG). Quite weird to be back in there after all the drama's - a bit disapointed that there are only 2 follicles, but I had this on my first cycle and got two embryos so here's hoping . . . .

How you doing LL, coping with your schedule overseas? When do you have your first scan?

Hi Ladies,

Well AF arrived this morning so I'll be injecting the FSH from tomorrow night. Day 5 scan is on Saturday. I'm on a slightly higher dose this times so I'm hoping they'll be less uncertaintly around abandoned cycles etc...!

Sooty stay positive - it only takes 1!

LL hope all goes to plan in Norway - I wouldn't worry too much... their results are up there - they clearly know what they're doing!

I'm feeling a bit weird about it all this time to be honest. Not excited, not worried just nothing really? maybe it's just so different to the first time now I know what to expect?

LL - I had the same advice as No more so don't worry...

Thanks mowmi I am trying to stay positive - but I can't help hoping that a miracle couple of extra follicles turn up on my D10 scan on Friday. Can I ask, remember that cycle you did after your abandoned cycle - when it got off to a slow start and then you hyperstimulated - were your follicles low in number or were they all just small? I guess I am wondering if it is possible for follicles to come from nowhere at this stage ?

Don't beat yourself up LL about the alcohol, my clinic doesn't mention not drinking for women until EC/ET, they focus on the guys at this stage. Did anybody read in the Guardian that now they are saying it might be beneficial for boys if their mothers drank! Moderation not prohibition is the key in my book . . . .

Oh. . . regarding my question about more follicles arriving after day 6 - does anyone have any idea/experience about this?

LL - I was told that I could not drink whilst DR, which was a real bummer as I was on holiday at the time with the MIL from hell! We got on whilst I could blot her out with drink... but after that there was no hope for us!

Sooty, I frequently start with a few follicles and then more pop up later, I don't think what you have on D6 is what you necessarily end up with. Plus Mowmi is right you only need one, hell that's how everybody else does it! Sending lots of luck for your next scan.

Thanks soosy, I am hoping for some popping up then . . . and BTW I think I misunderstood your last post - I thought you were talking about Genetic Testing . . . someone on this post ages ago had it done when they produced lots of embies so I just assumed . . . wrong!

I was snooping around the conception pages trying to find a home. and this may be it??

I am on a medicated FET IVF cycle, due to undergo ET on 9 December, with a 2nd round of IVF. We have 15 frosties. I had my first round in 2006 which resulted in my little girl and now we are back on the roller coaster.

I am having a lot more side effects this time around with the oestrogen tablets. lots of pain, nausea. My ladybits have developed elephantitis and god knows what else is happening down there. I cant remember it being like this last time. Anyone else?

LL are you going to be posting from Norway then? I expected you to go off the radar for the Norway trip and then come back and it would all be done!
sooty It has been ages since we started in May, but so many other (ttc and non-ttc) things have happened in our lives snce then it's only now we're starting tothink about doing it again. Having said that I think the lap and dye will put IVF a bit further back now so it might not be til next May that we get to go again. Oh well, life is what happens when you're making other plans....

Sooty - my abandoned cycle was all about them not growing not the volume.
Scan is happening on day 4 of stim now so Friday...that's 3 of us then!!
