Rattling... OMG!!! that's very positive... I have everything crossed for the blood test tests and a big tread celebration....WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
I'm trying to be cautious, but so excited for you!!!

Onlyaphase · 20/10/2008 14:07

Rattling such good news! Am so so pleased for you, what amazing news! Fingers crossed for the tests but am sure they will be fine. Congratulations!

rattling · 20/10/2008 14:30

Thanks everyone. I'm succeeding in being very reserved about any excitement - apart from the 10 minutes I spent yesterday sitting on the bathroom floor shaking.

Spook - sorry, meant to say congratulations to you. This was a natural pregnancy while waiting to start downregging? You must be so chuffed.

OAP - that is very unlucky that the downregging hasn't worked. It's certainly not that unusual, though I also thought you just had to keep going for a few more weeks rather than starting again which must be very frustrating. Hopefully they'll have a better idea what doses you need to be on next time.

Lottie - best of luck for fitting in a cycle before Christmas. Visiting Norway in December then? That sounds lovely.

Madoldbird · 20/10/2008 15:40

Fantastic news rattling!! I too have everything crossed for you that this is a lovely sticky one (or two ) for you! Roll on wednesday and the blood test.

spook · 21/10/2008 08:25

Hi everyone. I'm back. Started bleeding badly late last night. Was obviously chemical pregnancy
Damn this body.
Spoken to the clinic and I'm to go and see them tomorrow to work out whether I'm emotionally ready to start treatment on Monday. Stiff upper lip tomorrow I guess.
Rattling and Nappy-still thinking of you!

sootykalucy · 21/10/2008 09:13

Hi gals, just popping in to prove I am still lurking. Fingers crossed for all of you on your 2WW. Sorry to hear about your chemical Spook - nothing like getting your hopes raised is there? . Good luck in Norway LL, have some herring for me . . . And OAP I really sympathise with you - my abandoned cycle seems to have put the whole last half of this year into chaos for me . . . and the waiting is excruciating after you have been expecting to start for so long. My first cycle this year seems a decade ago.

I have my pre-treatment appointment with Homerton next tuesday, we are hoping that I can start almost immediately, but as I am not downregging this time they may make me wait until next month . . . can't seem to get a straight answer from them . . . .

RahRah1 · 21/10/2008 11:29

spook - So sorry (((HUGS))) Similar happened to me as got pregnant when down reg and M/C at 6 weeks. I went to my clinic 2 weeks afterward and it was OK and he authorised for me to start my IVF after my period (still waiting for it) and decided to change my treatment plan with more support, which is always beneficial! So sorry hun, I know it does not help the pain and the disappointment. ((HUGS))

spook · 21/10/2008 11:34

Thanks RahRah. I'm so sorry it happened to you. I am just so desperate to get started. I am hoping against hope that I can start on Monday.
I thought it was all a bit too good to be true tbh. Doesn't make it any easier though.
Hope your darned period comes soon

RahRah1 · 21/10/2008 11:38

That would be fab news that you could start so soon. I just could not believe that it had delayed my IVF, but i suppose everything happens for a reason. I went to the doctors on Monday and they have done a blood test to see what is going on... Fingers crossed for your appointment xx

Onlyaphase · 21/10/2008 17:12

spook sorry to hear your news, really sorry. It did seem like a really good bit of news for you, so sorry it didn't stick.

Well, I think the reason I couldn't just wait another week or so and continue downregging is that I was taking the pill, and had the 7 day break and a bleed as they wanted. When they scanned me on day 6 of my cycle I already had follicles between 5 and 10 mm, and high oestrogen levels, so I think it was too late to do anything for this cycle as it was too progressed. Better luck next time I hope. Am determined to do all the things in the next 6 weeks that I wouldn't be able to during the 2WW(and hopefully afterwards) like painting the bedrooms and all the autumn gardening.

I really should know this, but with buserelin or one of the other downregging drugs, when do you start taking it? Is it day 21 of your cycle?

I do think things happen for a reason, and maybe this next cycle will be the one for me. DD was born after a Dec/Jan cycle, so there is hope for me yet. Fingers crossed for all of us, anyway.

Any news from Nappyvalley yet?

NappyValley · 21/10/2008 19:32

HI guys:

spook so sorry for you. was really hoping that it was a little miracle.

rattling fingers crossed for you tomorrow really think it is going to be your day.

Things here are not good. Got period cramps last night and started bleeding this morning. Cramps are string enough to need paracetamol, so I think this cycle is over for us. We still have to do a preg and blood test on thursday, but that is really just academic.

We are both coping remarkably well and we still have 4 embryos in the freezer. A close friend is just going through a m/c at 9wks so I am sad for her and she is sad for me! we make a right pair.

So it looks like the booze is on for my 35th birthday on Friday! I'll have one for you Rattling.

OAP burselin is normally taken from day21 through to the trigger injection day. In my case i started on day 19 as I have a short LP. hope that helps.

RahRah1 · 21/10/2008 20:01

Nappy so very sorry. (((hugs))) wish i could give you a great big hug. My friend who I met through sands as she lost her baby son at the same time as me has just completed her second round of IVF in the last 3 months and it worked, so a positive story. They say with each round of IVF your chances increase. I know none of this helps at the moment, but positive stories always helps me look forward to the future. Sending lots of love Rah Xxx

spook · 22/10/2008 09:56

Oh Nappy. I can't imagine whats going through your head. I am so so sorry. You sound remarkably strong. In a way its good that someone is going through the same thing so you can be there for each other-albeit under awful circumstances.
I'm glad your DH is coping ok and taking care of you.
Lets hear it for those frosties...and have a great birthday if you can! I must admit to a glass or five of wine last night
Enormous hormonal hugs to you (((((((((((((((())))))))))))))))))

rattling · 22/10/2008 12:10

Nappy and Spook - Really feeling for the pair of you. Glad you've got someone there who understands Nappy.

I'm still feeling quite positive despite awful cramps last night, I'll be back for some support if I get let down when I phone up for my results (as soon as DH gets here to hold my hand).

Look after yourselves.

RahRah1 · 22/10/2008 12:21

Rattling have everything crossed for you... XXXXX XXXXX

RahRah1 · 22/10/2008 13:49

Rattling... ANY NEWS? I keep logging on to check... Thinking of you XXXX

BFP for me . Am thrilled, but perhaps its those pesky hormones, also feeling very sad that it can't happen for everyone else right now. I know how excited I've been for others on here who've taken their time to get to this point, so thank you for your support.

An unimaginable 3 weeks to wait till the first scan, so I'll need that support to continue - though if I'd managed naturally they'd have expected me to wait till 20 weeks, so some ups to this IVF nonsense.

spook · 22/10/2008 15:59

I'm so happy for you Rattling. I can't tell you how wonderful that news is
I've just got back from the clinic and I now can't start till mid Dec because of the miscarriage. I'm completely and absolutely floored. I know in the big scheme of things it's only 6 weeks but I just feel like giving up.

RahRah1 · 22/10/2008 16:02

OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG RATTLING!!! Many congratulations! WOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOO

I don't want to rain on your parade, but I got my BFP too! It looks like I got pregnant straight after the M/C and I'm 4 weeks and 6 days. I just can't believe it, after waiting to do IVF again. I've had my bloods done and they came back as 106 and having them done again on Thursday so fingers crossed they have gone up. I'm having a scan in a couple of weeks too on the 4th Nov, so looks like we will be pregnancy buddies! I don't want to get ahead of myself, due to the last time but I'm more positive and on a heap of drugs..

Congratulations again!!!!!

RahRah1 · 22/10/2008 16:04

Sorry spook - I crossed posted.. I was told the same too by my clinic, so sorry. Its so frustrating. Please don't give up..((BIG HUGS))

Thanks Lottie, yep saw Herby got her's too... I reckon this is just the start....I have been trying for years, in total 4 1/2 yrs (obviously had Bertie in the middle of that but still no L/C) so I never thought it was going to happen.. Not that it has yet, have many obstacles to get through, but I want to try and remain as positive as possible. I have started all my drugs, doing steroids, heparin, iron, aspirin and progesterone, so covering all my basis... XX
