anniehall12 · 08/02/2026 08:30

Is anyone else out there in the wait between the end of a miscarriage and their first cycle ? Xx

I had a miscarriage before both my children. The first time I waited for a period and was much to fall pregnant straight away and the second time I didn’t wait and again fell pregnant straight away and it was dated from my miscarriage. I would say do what you are comfortable with it’s a very personal decision for me I just wanted to try again

That’s lovely to hear thing turned out well so quickly. I have so much hope, I hope it isn’t dashed 🫣🤞. If this cycle is normal for me then my period is due just before we have a nice weekend away in an air bnb planned. It would be so amazing to get a positive test for the start of the weekend 🙈😬

Has anyone else experienced a really unusually large amount of pink tinged cm around the time of ovulation after miscarriage. Never had anything like it. I was wondering if it’s because your cervix opens a little at this time so any leftover excess fluids from
the miscarriage comes out? Or could it be a bit of infection?

Hey, I didn't experience this. I just ovulated confirmed by transvaginal scan.

The only difference I've noticed since my mmc is increased discharge, lots it. But I've had it all checked out and it's no infection, Dr believes everything is just cleaning itself out. Really hope it goes away soon tho!

Hello, hope it's ok to join? Sorry for your losses and hope everyone is doing as ok and can be 💖
I'm a week past finding out there was no sign of pregnancy at my early scan. I should have been 6 weeks so was a chemical. My HCG at the hospital also came back negative. I started tracked LH yesterday and it looks like levels are increasing. I'm 41 so I don't really have time to waste, so I think we'll just go for it before my first period. x

So sorry for your pregnancy loss ❤️ I've just gone for it as well, we done the deed about 13 days post mmc. I only bled for roughly 2 days then nothing since.

Even though I'm relatively still young (30) and I have 2 children but you just never know what can happen. Just to add my mum had 2 under 2, when she was 40 and 41!
Sending you lots of baby dust xx

I've never been very good at tracking ovulation just usually go by the discharge.
Any reccomendations for ovulation test strips?

anniehall12 · 01/03/2026 06:05

I'm currently using pre mom app and strips. I missed my peak on the testing but recent scan confirmed ovulation. Hopefully next cycle will be less confusing! Xx

I’m driving myself crazy symptom spotting. My miscarriage was 19 days ago now and I ovulated 7 days ago. I did a test this morning which is know is silly but there was a squinter of a line there. Also feeling quite nauseous this morning. I’m driving myself mad wondering if I’ve go a positive starting already or if the squinter is just left over from the miscarriage. Just ranting really as I can’t get it off my mind and the nausea certainly isn’t helping!

Hey lovely. About 2 days ago I experienced similar what you said happened to you, I had a stringy piece of blood clot come out of me but no bleeding? And since then nothing.
Similar to you again, it's been 26 days since I passed the miscarriage, 14 days since we done the deed and I've done a test it's come up with a faint line. Hubby says he can't see it so I am wondering if I have line eyes.
But I know for sure it was negative as I went for a scan and they confirmed everything was clear and negative pregnancy test, they also said I had ovulated. So now it's just the waiting game! It's so strange! My nausea has also returned. But I'm wondering if it's the emotional stress? I also haven't been sleeping properly waking up in sweats and crying... Xx
What's your plan now? Are you going to keep testing each day? Xx

Hey @anniehall12ah thanks for saying how it’s been for you as well. It does sound very similar! So you’re maybe exactly a week ahead of me. When was your appointment? That’s interesting they confirmed a negative test, so you know the squinter might actually be something! 😬. When did you test?

I think I’ll just do one every morning as you say and see what happens.

I know 7dpo would be stupidly early for a squinter so I’m preparing myself for it just to be a leftover effect from miscarriage 🫣

@anniehall12 @Sparkles512 Hey ladies. af has arrived for me now! So far it's more painful than the process of the medical management of my miscarriage. I defo had a squinter a few days ago so it's possible I've had a chemical

Any update from you @cobalt123 ?

Xx

To add, I must admit I am kinda relieved I'm not pregnant because I didn't want the confusion of not knowing dates etc. as that would just add to the anxiety of pregnancy after loss....also feeling a bit emotional cause it's officially 28 days (4 weeks) since I had the medical management and passed my little bean at home. Even tho everything's way over and people move on, I will never forget this time of my life. Xxx

OP posts:
cobalt123 · 05/03/2026 07:22

Hey @anniehall12im sorry to hear that. I hope it gets less painful quickly. I’m glad you are in a spot that works for you though without the anxiety of not knowing dates as you say. Sending lots of baby dust for next cycle. It’s such huge thing to hold in your heart to have lost. I think it’s important to let yourself feel everything. Your baby will find you soon.

im still getting a squinter but I do think it may be a bit fainter than yesterday. So I’m not holding out much hope now and assuming it’s post miscarriage hcg still leaving my system. If it is I suppose it doesn’t necessarily mean no pregnancy this cycle but thinking about it, it does seem like everything’s a bit out of whack. The ‘ovulation pain’ I felt was less than 2 week post miscarriage but then I had thrush symptoms for a while so didn’t dtd for a while and might have missed actual ovulation. I’m not tracking with stick or bbt. And then the squinter was only 7 days later. So it all seems a bit improbable based on what I read online. 🤷‍♀️

Thank you so much for all your encouraging words. The pain is much better now.

Hm, it is definitely still possible your are pregnant again. I think by now the HCG from the miscarriage should definitely be gone? (Nurses told me by 21 days it should deffo be negative) Are you due to go back in for a check up scan or anything like that?

OP posts:
cobalt123 · 05/03/2026 16:25

I’m not due in for a check as I went 1 week after the miscarriage and they didn’t see any reason to come in again as they said all the miscarriage material has passed. I’m now 21 days post but I did read online that you can continue to get positives for quite a number of weeks.

ive lost all self control this cycle and testing twice a day with two different brands each time. Really need to get a grip. I guess it’s just a drive to get some kind of certainty and out of limbo. At this stage it could be old miscarriage, a chemical, or a new pregnancy. Driving myself mad.

the squinter is still there but certainly not getting any stronger

I really wish I’d tested around the time of ovulation so I had a baseline to work from. 🙄

ttcnumerodos · 05/03/2026 19:44

@cobalt123such a confusing time - I hope you get a clear answer soon 🫂

I got my peak yesterday which is 16 days after my chemical started. Perhaps a bit stupidly, we've dtd twice this week. I've had ovulation pain and now...back in the tww. I'm two weeks away from the anniversary of my first chemical so gearing up for a bumpy emotional rollercoaster fortnight 🥴

Hey hey. They got fainter and fainter. I didn’t bother using a clear blue the last couple of days just cheapies as I’m pretty sure I knew which way it was going. Feel definitely not pregnant. af isn’t due till Thursday if it’s gonna be a 4 week cycle but I’m just pretty sure it hasn’t worked this cycle. Quite deflated by the whole thing but been able to distract myself with some nice hikes in this nice weather.

On to the next cycle which would be a Christmas baby if successful 😂.

how are you getting on?

cobalt123 · 09/03/2026 15:17

It’s such a cruel trick to keep getting faint positives for so long after a miscarriage. I wish my period would just start so I can just move on and stop torturing myself squinting at tests

Aw I'm sorry 😞
I felt really deflated that I didn't get a positive straight after my miscarriage.
I felt very emotional last week as we should have been going for our 12 week scan 💔😭
We are still trying 🤞

ttcnumerodos · 09/03/2026 21:12

So sorry to hear that @cobalt123 - bodies can be really cruel.

I had such a shit experience today and have just had a big cry to my husband. I had a call with my fertility consultant - was all.prepped to advocate for myself and ask loads of questions. Then he said 'oh, I see from your notes that you're pregnant' - well I was three weeks ago but I'm not now. It totally threw me and I could hardly get the words out. I feel so deflated and just really sad. He did say all my tests apart from blood clotting were ok, so I've to be tested again in a few months. And I pushed to see if I can get progesterone if I get a +test, which he agreed to. But I'm a big sad mess tonight 😔 xx

cobalt123 · 09/03/2026 21:24

@ttcnumerodosooft that is a really shit day. I’m really sorry. That would have sent me sideways as well. Good that you got the progesterone lined up. have you had many losses?

@Sparkles512fingers cross for this cycle.

its such a hard journey isn’t in. I’m so up and down about it day to day. Some days I’m totally fine with where I am and others deflated or overwhelmed.

urgh 😔
