TTC Baby #3 Not our first rodeo 🤠

I thought I’d start a thread for those TTC baby number 3 (and beyond, feel free to join!) It would be nice to share experiences. I feel like where I’m from 3 is the new 2 😅 but I’ve always felt like I wanted a bigger family anyway (I am 1 of 4!)

For background, DD1 has just turned 6 and DD2 has just turned 4. I’m on cycle #2, AF due in a couple of days but I’m testing BFN so roll on cycle #3. I was really hoping to catch before November so baby would only be 4 school years behind DD2 🙈 but what will be will be!

DD1 took 15 cycles

DD2 took 1 cycle

Anyone else??? X

@olivehush Good luck! It's difficult isn't it as you never know for certain what's the best time to catch the egg.

I've been pretty good, until this morning where the nausea started to hit harder. I'm also very tired! Reality is finally setting and I'm having some "oh shit, this is happening" moments.

@mintrobin you're tough for holding out this long, well done!

@Daisy42016oh I feel that pain my youngest is poorly and last few nights have been hellish 🫠 glad you got a static. Though I hate when you have a random cycle and there is no clue what happening 🤦🏼‍♀️

@olivehushoooh that’s good I’m sure hubby won’t complain 😂 but can be a bit tiring for you! I’ve just started getting fertile cm so I think mine will be around Tuesday/weds next week. We’re going away tomorrow for a night so least we’ll have that if there nothing else this cycle. Youngest being ill makes it hard to fit it in he keep waking up at the wrong moment 🙈

Hi all, have been following this thread for a couple of days!

My 2 children are 4&3, and just got an early BFP today! Still 3 or 4 days off AF, so watching and waiting hopefully.

Would be lovely to have some company on the journey. Sending good vibes to everyone - and nice to virtually meet you all.

Had a good cry this morning when it appeared, not like me at all! Think it solidified how much my heart really wants another. Only started OPKs last cycle to understand when my ovulation is, and we've not really been trying (only managed to dtd once in fertile window) so i didn't have my expectations high, was more seeing this cycle as a getting prepared/more informed etc - so it really surprised me how upset AF arriving made me. My husband is so kind and always understanding. Will try and give it a proper go this cycle

Aww hun that’s totally understandable, and similar to me last month tbh! I’d had my coil removed and was kind of in the “we’ll see how it goes” kind of mindset, and was taken aback how upset I was when AF arrived too. Hope you have nice plans today, and are getting lots of lovely cuddles! All the good vibes your way for Nov 🙏🏻🥰

ughh so sorry @MintRobin take care of yourself. It seems like you are pinpointing O successfully, just haven’t caught it yet 🤞🏼

Think I may be joining you for November anyway…I’m [possibly maybe probably] O’ing today and we’ve had such a busy few days, we DTD on Thursday but now won’t be able to until tomorrow as OH called to work last min for 2 nights. I know I’m still in with a chance but I’m already feeling deflated that it’s not enough/close enough to O.

I am trying for baby number 3! We have a 5 year old and 6 year old and have been trying for 2 years. We recently had a failed IVF. We were able to concieve so quickly with the first two so didn't expect it to take this long.

@olivehushdef don’t count yourself out I once fell 5 days before O 🙊 we only dtd the once I was sure I was not even in with a chance. funnily enough I have fallen a few times when I thought I would be out for sure! Have you tested with opk? I can’t remember if you’re doing them or not?

@Coffeechocolatebooks123welcome. Sorry it seems to be taking a long time. Will you try for ivf again? Have you had any tests etc?

Unfortunately not, I just can't justify spending another £8000 when it might fail when I could spend that on a holiday with my children.
Everything seems ok on all the scans, blood work etc. 😞

@mummatara thank you! I was having a google and apparently it’s very normal to catch from DTD 2-3-4 days before O. And then I was like well of course it is duh that’s the fertile window 🤣 Sometimes I get so caught up pinpointing the exact day of O I forget that you don’t reeeaaaally need to do that.

so, not entirely sure where we are as I had hardly any obvious O signs but I’m guessing I’m 1dpo today. Let the TWW commence 🫠

@Coffeechocolatebooks123 so sorry to hear it’s been a tricky journey so far. Keeping everything crossed. I have some friends who have been through similar recently including the failed IVF and aware how much of a toll that takes emotionally and physically ❤️

@olivehushI think I might O sooner than I thought CD15 today and I just did my evening opk it’s started to rise already that usually means I’ll get my peak tonight/ tomorrow. I was going to give hubby tonight off but not anymore 🙈 not sure I’ve ever ovulated this early 🤷🏼‍♀️ good luck in the TWW 🤞🏼

@PoppyN919 ahh thank you! Last month I was so convinced that was it. My symptoms were off the scale. My OH was convinced, he kept saying he had a feeling. We kept seeing little signs…there was just no way I couldn’t be. Lo and behold, a few stark white BFNs later and AF showed up right on time 🤣 so this month I’m feeling a bit stroppy about it all. Like I don’t even care (even though I do) but I just can’t really be arsed either. Don’t know if that makes sense. Just rambling 😂 don’t think I’ll even bother testing until AF is due as have no tests in the house anyway. Got a busy month too luckily!

Aww totally get that! And honestly this has been me so many times. I hope this month is better, and as you say good in some ways it’s so busy. It’s hard for it not all to become entirely preoccupying isnt it! ❤️

Got my peak this morning 👏🏼 thankfully we’ve been away this weekend so made the most of child free time 😂
