so you'll be moving next door?... we want to buy the house next door to us as its a bit bigger, and has a garage!!

Moosma · 05/06/2008 10:43

Ooh are you buying next door and knocking through? That sounds brilliant! I'd love to do that but we've got the barn now so that should sort our space problems. I don't know what we're going to do car-wise, we have an estate but I don't think it's wide enough to fit 3 seats in the back. DD1 is small so won't be in a booster seat for a long time yet, so we'll have 2 forward facing big seats and a little baby one.

glaskham · 05/06/2008 10:47

I did wonder if it was buying to knock through... thats even more exiting if thats the plan!!

glaskham · 05/06/2008 10:48

going to read back and see what i missed over the last 2 days!!

UptheSquack · 05/06/2008 11:03

Yes it's to knock through

We've sorted out the plans of room layouts etc, just waiting for the sale. Tbh we wouldn't be too bothered if it takes another year. Gives us a bit more time to sort ourselves out

Dh is coming round to a fourth baby, still looks a bit shocked though lol.

glaskham · 05/06/2008 11:14

Hello,

Work is pants again!! I think my feet are about to fall off, they are killing me.

Hope everyone is ok.

Starshinetiger · 05/06/2008 14:12

HUGE CONGRATULATIONS Diege & Squack - that's fantastic news. I secretly knew you would be up the duff Diege - very much a case of "she who protests too much" methinks .
Right, now I have a very good record of predicting the right gender of babies yet to be born (cue DH scoffing that I do have a 50% chance of getting it right), so if any of you want to put pictures on your profile when you get a bump and tell me your symptoms, I'll tell you my prediction. Of course, I'll probably get them all wrong

HAPPY BIRTHDAY Tink! Ooh, to be 30 again.
Thanks for remembering me too Moos, you're very good. Came into work and there are Happy Birthday banners on my desk, which is very sweet, but also slightly embarrassing - thought I had kept it quiet. No-one realised I was 34, which I guess should be a compliment, but I also think I should be more advanced in my career by now, so I liked that people thought I was younger! Remember the days when we wanted to look older...

Ah well, am off to Foo Fighters gig at Wembley on Sat with DH and his work colleague and her DP - all those months back was worried I would have morning sickness on the coach - pah! Ah well, this time next week, I'll have had my hospital appt, so will know whether TTC is go or not - yay!

NJ - poo about slide, but you're undoubtedly right not to risk ending up with nothing.
Moos - sorry about AF - let's aim for same antenatal thread next month?
Ooh, NJ - will you be my maternity stylist if I get pg - love the tops you recommended to Kay.
Cals - fingers crossed for you - I do know several people who have conceived when they had throat infections, so maybe the tonsilitis will be a good thing? My SIL conceived both times while on antibiotics (once when on the pill)
Squack - very exciting about knocking through to house next door.

Welcome to newbies or those been absent for a while. Sorry I don't get on to post very often, but I do lurk and keep track as much as poss.

Squack - I got the email from VictorianSqualor, but don't really understand how I contribute - I'm not on paypal, so is there anything I can do? Would love to contribute if I'm not too late - maybe I should just send something directly to the recipient's address?

Sorry for long mammoth post - in lunchhour. Have lovely days everyone. Might not be on again today, although DH is working tonight, so I might pop on while eating my microwaved risotto - who says bdays aren't so important when you get older. Am shattered as couldn't sleep last night and ended up working for 2 hours from 2am to 4am, as I couldn't clear my brain - I am definitely weird! Sorry for exclamation markitis !

Moosma · 05/06/2008 14:21

Nice to see you again Star, I'm afraid it was FB that reminded me of your birthday - I'm not that organised!

Hope you have a lovely day, FF gig sounds great!

NatalieJaneIsPregnant · 05/06/2008 14:22

Hiya Star, happy birthday to you as well That was nice of work to remember Seems to be a day of birthdays today, it is also my mum's.

I like looking for clothes for other people, never seem to find the good stuff for me though!

Is the insomnia a sign?

glaskham · 05/06/2008 14:49

Forgot i saw about some birthdays... HAPPY BIRTHDAY Star and Tink!!

happynappies · 05/06/2008 15:01

Afternoon everyone. Feeling really rough - been out this morning with dd, and as I pulled the car onto the drive she started throwing up. Have spent the last hour cleaning the car seat having stripped her down and got her into her cot. I hope to God she isn't coming down with something horrible - can't understand what has caused it, she hasn't thrown up for 12 months! Have given her some Calpol as she was quite hot, and hope she'll be feeling better after her sleep. I however cannot get the smell out of my nostrils - yak.

Hope everyone is ok and enjoying their afternoons

NatalieJaneIsPregnant · 05/06/2008 15:17

Awww poor DD, if she has a fever, that is quite possibly what made her sick. Alternate calpol and nurafen every 2 hours, and try to keep her fluids up. Hopefully just a 24 hour thing, hope she feels better soon.

Starshinetiger · 05/06/2008 15:20

Thanks ladies for the birthday wishes. No NJ, insomnia was not a sign - we're not trying this month, as waiting for the all clear at breast clinic next Thurs - but I was very up for it mid-month, which is a sure sign I was ovulating - was so tempting just to go for it, but we restrained on the "full explosion".
Happy - sorry DD is sick, hopefully it will be 24 hours and she'll be over it soon.

NatalieJaneIsPregnant · 05/06/2008 15:22

Ah but where there's will, there's a way Besides phantom pregnancy symptom spotting is good practice

nobodyputsBBinthecorner · 05/06/2008 15:29

hi all thanks geordie im ok, still a bit meh but im beggining to think thats adult life, or at the very least working life... a blardy awful day here, its always the same, i think i take it all to personal!

happy bday tink and star!! star poor DD!!

wRT insomnia, if thats a sign i defo am, because these last few weeks ive had problems dropping off to sleep x

lastboxoftampons · 05/06/2008 16:23

Happy Birthday tink and Star

I kept waking up way ealier than my alarm wide awake and I thought that was a sign - this morning I slept a hour later than normal and then I thought maybe that's a sign! I'm through with signs!!!

glaskham · 05/06/2008 16:28

I dont do signs anymore!!... i'd convinced myself i was pregnant when it was for surrogacy... and i wasn't!!

I'm not reading into any signs, and takign things very easy so not to get too obsessed with it all!! I defo wont test until AF due!! dotn see the point in wasting all them tests like i did last time!! however, on my birthday next week an early test would show....but i dont think i will be testing!! i'd be a little if it was neg on my bday!!

happynappies · 05/06/2008 16:29

I've been waking up an hour before my alarm goes off every morning... I think I've established a habit though through temping - as soon as I wake up I grab the thermometer... I think it has been on my mind, so I reckon that is why I'm waking at 5am every flipping morning.

Dd still asleep - will have to wake her up soon, hope she ok. Car seat drying off.. what a day!

lardylumps · 05/06/2008 17:21

Hello everyone I am 5dpo and want to test.......... What do you think???

Happy birthday tink and star.... wow i wish i was 30 (again).

I have been struggling to get to sleep is it a sign (No lardy your DD has been poorly thats all you nutter)

kayzisexpecting · 05/06/2008 17:38

Happy birthday to Tink and Star!!!

Work got much worse today. It is so bloody hot in there that I nearly passed out this afternoon but we're still not allowed to have a bottle of water to keep us hydrated. Its bloody horrible.

Diege · 05/06/2008 17:40

Hello, back from the shops!! Friend is fine, though having contractions which is a bit . Her bump is hugemungus, but 32 weeks now so all should be fine .
Happy birthday TINKS and STAR!!! Enjoy 30 Tinks!! My 30s were/are the best years of my life so far!
I also had a knitted type coat for my Nov pregnancies that I got from Jojo Maman Bebe - not really 'me' - sort of a knitted duffle coat monstrosity, but kept me cosy!
Feeling really tired today, and constantly hungry. Slight nausea on the bus but I am not even allowing it the possibility at starting at 4 weeks!!
Re: implantation, I felt very obvious stretching/severe period pains from cd 24 - still having period-type cramps now, though not as strong.
Right, time for dds tea then I'm getting them to bed early!

lardylumps · 05/06/2008 17:44
