Ei did you say you got BFN "last night" ? If so please see my post from last week where I scolded Sparkly for not testing with FMU - it doesn't count ! Do a VALID test ! Are you late ?

Morning

What a BEAUTIFUL morning Gonna be 75 degrees today they reckon . Ah poo, but I've gotta wait in all day for a courier

Ei It's too early and I agree with mibbes FMU only! Yes please I'd love you to post me a link. I tried some Vera Wang dresses on in a sample sale a while ago but they were dreadful, not my style at all. I can't believe you got a handmade wedding dress for £45!!! My friend got a beautiful dress from an Oxfam wedding dress shop. It was an ex catwalk dress and was originally about 1-2 thousand pounds. She paid £100. I might go down that route if I can find a shop near me. Remember I was gonna come to the one in Liverpool? I think there might be one nearer to me.

Did everyone else have a good weekend?

Still no ov for me

Fruity SATC is great isn't it! Did you have a little tear? Hope the hangover is better today. See you Friday!! DP thinks you should go for the gorgeous dress because you'll look at it all the time in your photos etc - I wonder if he will say the same if it's ever my turn?
Ei Sorry for BFN but slapped wrists from me too. FMU only!!!!!!!!!!!!! Fingers crossed for you with those symptoms.
Mibbes I love Paris. Very of you.

hee hee I know the feeling ! I can't believe it took you so long to post your news - or did you have a long lie ? It does take a while (and a lot of HPTs in my case) for the news to sink in ! Now my podgy belly is now helping 'make it real' !!

Well preggy lady, share your tips with the ladies, we are all dying to hear the details !

OMG - tried to do some work there but just too excited for you Ei !
Sooo.... what are your cravings ? Am impressed you have some already - I don't have any 'proper' ones - just eating more of the things I like !
When are you due, Feb sometime ?... OOOh am so pleased for you missus !

scully · 09/06/2008 11:36

Well done Ei, I'm so envious but so happy for you
Very jealous of your Paris jaunt as well Mibbes, I do miss Europe weekends away
I bought my wedding dress at Macey's in San Francisco for about US$100. We were on a round the world 6mth trip and got engaged in the Cook islands. I knew when we got back to the UK that we would be poor so bought a dress I loved in the US. Still really like it 10yrs later, so you don't have to spend a fortune to be happy with something, that suits you.
Dh just said something nice, we were watching a David Attenborough show on Africa (dh is from Sth Africa) and we haven't been back there since 2003. I said we should try and get back there when dd2 is a little older and he said well we're going to have another one by then So we were working out the best age to travel with the older 2, and dc3 not crawling yet. Nice to hear it's still a reality in his mind, after 2 m/c

Yarnie · 09/06/2008 12:06

I just knew today was going to be a good day! My project is all handed in (can't tell you how relieved I am - the end of three solid months of work). And I check in on MN and what do I find - a BFP! Many, many congrats Ei .

May this be the the first in a long line of BFPs obtained quickly and without incident

Fruity hope you're courier comes sooner rather than later, so you can get out and enjoy the sunshine.

Very of your Paris trip, too Mibbes. DF and I could really do with a break, but it's down to me to organise and I'm flat out at the moment.

I'm off to knock off a bunch of things on my to-do list. I may be busy, but at least it's not on the damn project

SparklyPiliPala · 09/06/2008 20:22

THANK F**K FOR A BFP - sorry about the language ladies...I just couldn't help myself.
Ei After speaking to you this morning I've been bouncing off the walls all day. It's amazing news and I'm so happy for you (esp since we haven't had a BFP in agggessss!!). xxx

Emmsy1 · 09/06/2008 21:12

congratulations Ei that is fantastic!! so very pleased for you, I hope you have started a trend for this thread

My 20 week scan was today, all is fine!! The sonographer said that the baby wasn't in a good position to accurately show the sex, but she thinks it is a girl!! really hope 'widgie' wasn't hiding behind the cord!

Things have really changed since I last had children, didn't have any wee samples or blood pressure taken, just scan and a quick explanation of blood results that were taken back in march. No consultants or understudies, no breast examinations[thank god] it was really weird, they did put a sticker on my notes 'strep B alert' so I am given anti-biotics when I go into labour. I have posted a picture for anyone to have a look at if they want to. xxx

QueenyEisGotTheBall · 09/06/2008 21:56

thanks ladies
its still sinking in for me and DH i am going to do another test tomorrow morning with a different brand to see if i get a stronger result. do you think it would be a good idea or should i wait a few more days?
xx ei xx

SparklyPiliPala · 09/06/2008 22:01

Emmsy That is fantastic news!!! Another little girl for you to even it out a bit. I'm sure they saw girlie bits or they wouldn't have said anything. I tried to have a peak at her but your profile is private . Congrats lovely. xxxxxxxxxxxxx
Ei You know have rubbish I am with testing so I'm not going to comment

QueenyEisGotTheBall · 09/06/2008 22:06

ooops emmsy congrats on the news of your little baby girl bet you cant wait to meet her now
sparkly no probs i think i am as bad as you with testin hun thats y i ask as i dont want to be an addict of POAS!!! i want to do one cheap one and a CBD to confirm it in writing so to speak i have them bought and in the bathroom waiting for me to pee on them but i dont want to wast them ... i suppose any positive no matter how faint isnt a waste of a test lol
