4w5d test still not dark solid

Hi,

after previous losses/ ectopic I’m worried that my tests still aren’t as dark as the control line. I have had progression but I was hoping they would be stronger by now.

im nervously waiting for my results from a blood test today. Hopefully they have risen 🤞🏻

anyone else at a similar stage?

how are your symptoms? Do you feel like you are getting a bump yet?

my nausea has levelled out. I’m still very tired.
iv got a scan on Saturday and I’m soo nervous already! I just really want the baby to be okay x

@whatdoyouthink123456 im feeling good! I had a few mild symptoms earlier but now just feeling like myself. I don’t know if it’s an actual bump or just bloat but I feel like I look about 3 or 4 months pregnant! Have been wearing lots of loose dresses to try and cover it. Oh that’s exciting, I’m sure it’ll all go great! I’m not expecting to have my next scan until around 14/15 weeks based on how busy my hospital seems to be, feels like forever away!

@Lemonmarigoldthats good, I’m glad your symptoms have eased.
sometimes I feel super bumpy, but others my stomach feels flat, so I think it’s maybe just bloating 🤞🏻
My NHS scan isn’t until the start of August, but iv booked a private one. I’m feeling impatient and want to check everything is okay.

have you told anyone about your pregnancy?

I had my booking in appointment this week. Iv been referred to a special team as I had GD when I was pregnant with my son. I think il have more appointments to manage it

@whatdoyouthink123456hello! I have a scan today too… so nervous as I have really felt less pregnant this week… I’m bloated too, especially as the day goes on, feel like it’s really obvious! My scan isn’t until 5.15pm so a while to wait, hope yours goes ok! I have told my close family and friends as I would tell them if it didn’t work out. I’m quite an open book though really anyway xx

I was soo nervous. Mine was at 9:30 this morning.

All good 🎉 baby is measuring the right size (9w4d) had a heartbeat etc. it’s got little arm & leg buds now and looking more like a baby!

I feel like I can relax a little now and enjoy our wedding next Saturday.

iv already got a 3.5 year old boy. I think I feel the same. I’d quite like another boy.

@whatdoyouthink123456 yes this is my second, my daughter is 9! She’s absolutely thrilled! I don’t feel too bad, just tired and ravenous all of the time, thankfully sickness very mild so yeah feels similar to when I was pregnant first time round. My other half and daughter want to know gender but I really like the idea of a suprise as il elect for a c-section so there won’t be any surprises with birth date etc… how about you? I’d like another girl as she was so easy haha but my partner would like a boy xx

@CharlotteRaeaww that’s soo sweet! I’m sure she’ll be a great big sister.
we haven’t told our son yet as he’s a bit too young to understand. Maybe We’l tell him after 12 weeks.
I had a NIPT last week so We’l find out the gender from that. Well tbf it was a disaster as she struggled to get a vein! She tried about 10 times (I don’t have great veins) She got some blood but not sure it’s enough to test. It’s been sent to the US so il find out next week.

I should be 12 weeks on weds. I’m still feeling soo rough. I’m exhausted every day. I feel like a zombie! I still got lots of nausea too.

I feel like iv got a bump already. I’m sure it’s not as noticeable to other people, but I feel huge!

@whatdoyouthink123456hello! I’m ok thanks, I’m 12 weeks Thursday coming so only a day apart. When do you have the dating scan? Mine is Monday 4th. Feel nervous about it, always think they will say oh there’s nothing there anymore 🙈 to be honest I have felt crappy, last week I thought I was past the worst of the tiredness but I’m also feeling shattered and really teary and emotional. Just miss feeling normal and having motivation and energy. Know it the hormones but it’s just hard! Hoping it’s a good sign everything is progressing though. How are you? X

@CharlotteRaemy scan is on Friday! I’m really nervous too. I’m not sure if I said before but with my son they had concerns at the 12 week scan so I’m a bit traumatised by that.
I actually had a harmony test last week so hopefully get the results by weds. I’m hoping that will give me reassurance.

I can’t believe how bad I still feel. I feel like a shell of a person atm. Soo tired, unmotivated, lazy, grumpy. I hope il feel more like myself soon.
I feel the same, I miss feeling like myself.

@whatdoyouthink123456 here’s hoping the second trimester brings some normality for a while for us! Yesterday I cried numerous times because I felt so low and drained, and today I was sick in a bin at work haha. Loving life 😂. Yes I have told work, we’re a pretty close team and we all rely on each other for support so I told them fairly early as I knew I’d tell them if it went the other way too. Have you? What sort of complications did your child have at the scan? I’m so nervous about that! What’s the harmony test? Is that similar? I know some are more accurate aren’t they x

at 12 weeks they thought his chin was measuring small which would be a marker for a genetic issue. We had to see a specialist from 12-20 weeks and they were concerned about Down’s syndrome, cleft palate and a condition with a tiny jaw which children struggle to eat etc. it was super super stressful and I was soo upset for weeks. Lots of time between scans worrying. luckily it was fine in the end, he doesn’t have any problems.

The harmony test is a private blood tests that gives very accurate results for some key genetic issues. I had the tests with my son after what happened and now I’m 38 I’m a bit nervous about the risks. It also tells you the gender, so hopefully we’l find out in a few days.

I haven’t told work yet. I plan to if the scan is okay. I’m kind of nervous to tell people. It’s felt like a secret we’v had for ages now 😬

@whatdoyouthink123456im not surprised your cautious this time after what you went through, sounds so scary! I’m sure this time will be smooth sailing, would be incredibly bad luck to have something similar this time. Everything crossed for you! Time is going to drag til Monday… and then I guess even after that il be worrying about results for the combined test. I’m 37 so yeah these things do feel more of a concern this time round don’t they. Are you still getting the odd cramp and pain across your stomach? I’m finding in the night sometimes I wake with a bit of cramping, hoping it’s everything stretching and making room x

@CharlotteRaei get the shooting pains if I move funny/ sneeze too much. I just feel soo bloated, I honestly think I look huge. I can’t wait to tell people as I’m soo uncomfortable trying to hide it.
what kind of cramps are you getting?

are you boobs still sore? My nipples feel like they could bleed! 😬 I’m super gassy too! Soo sexy!

I got the results of my harmony test today, all low risk. I’m very relieved 🥲 I also have the gender in an email too. I’m planning to ask a stranger to pick the correct colour confetti canon at the weekend, so our son can pop it the beach and we can find out together

@whatdoyouthink123456 I’m so bloated too….. especially at the day goes on! Annoyingly I have a friends husbands 40th dinner Saturday night… and it’s the type of crowd that will notice immediately that I’m not drinking and question so there will be no hiding it, plus the bloat by the end of the day makes me look 6 months pregnant so there’s no chance. Wish my scan was before rather than just after so I’d feel better about more people knowing not in my immediate circle. Even though everything looked fine at the 9 week scan I feel so nervous, hate not knowing what’s going on in there! Yeah boobs still hurt in and off. Oh that’s so good about low risk! Ooh what is your preference on the sex? I think I will try and have a surprise this time x

I'm nervous too. I feel better because of my symptoms but you just always think the worst, don’t you!? Iv seen a few sad stories online which make me worry. Also a friend recently lost a baby at 20 weeks which just makes me soo sad.
I can’t wait for the scan on Friday so I just know what’s going on.
I honestly don’t mind either way. A girl would be nice, to have one of each! But on the other hand it would be nice to have 2 boys who can be pals. There will be a 4 year age gap, so I’m not sure how close they would be 🤷🏻‍♀️
A surprise will be nice. Do you have a preference?

I think il see if anyone mentions and if they do il just say… yes my mind often wanders to worst case scenario, typical me! Try to tell myself to just enjoy it this time as I plan for it to be my last pregnancy, easier said than done though isn’t it.

I think I would love another girl but ultimately I don’t really mind. Other half would rather a boy! Ahhh excited for you to have your scan tomorrow! My brother and sis in law have their scan today at 9.15, so hoping all is going well, will be so lovely to have 2 babies due at the same time, we only have my daughter in my family so another burst of babies will be great xx

@CharlotteRae that’s a good plan. Do you think people will be suspicious? Could you say you’re driving? Or something? Will you drink anything? Iv had one Prosecco or something at special occasions.

did you keep your girls bits? Iv got a loft of boys clothes, I haven’t thrown anything out since he was a baby (I hoped the gap would be smaller) so it would be handy to have another boy 🤣

Thats nice about your bro. Are you close with them? The cousins will be soo close in age 🥰 my SIL had a baby a few weeks ago after my first- the comparison when pregnant drove me mad 🤣 my MIL was soo annoying, she couldn’t talk to me without comparing me to SIL (her bump is bigger, she’s bought this or that, she’s going to breastfeed etc) but the boys are great friends now.

is your daughter excited about being a big sister?

I just want today to fly by. I feel sick just thinking about the scan x
