4w5d test still not dark solid

Hi,

after previous losses/ ectopic I’m worried that my tests still aren’t as dark as the control line. I have had progression but I was hoping they would be stronger by now.

im nervously waiting for my results from a blood test today. Hopefully they have risen 🤞🏻

anyone else at a similar stage?

Hello, I’m 5 weeks and I haven’t had a test yet that is as dark as my control either. Hoping it’s just a little early or maybe some people don’t, these are mine… I’m around 20DPO now

I think yours look really dark. Even from the last green stick, it looks a strong positive. I wish mine looked that dark. Congratulations 🎉
im not 100% sure on my dates as I wasn’t tracking, but I think I’m about 19dpo.
im dreading the call later to see if my hcg has doubled 😩 iv not got a good feeling!

This was from earlier this week! I’m happy there is progress, but I would feel more confident if they were like the control line

at a guess 19dpo. I have quite irregular cycles, anything from 29-37 day cycles. My app says average is 31 days 🤷🏻‍♀️ my last period started 5th May x

@whatdoyouthink123456ahh I wouldn’t worry then they are definitely getting darker and the most recent looks good! Do you think you’ll get a scan before the 12 weeks?

That's a very strong, dark positive op.

They often don't get any darker than that. I don't think any of my positives have ever matched the control line (3 dc).

I had a scan last week but they couldn’t see anything at all.
Because I had an ectopic last year (tube removed) they are concerned.
they are going to scan me again once my hcg goes over 1,000. That’s the level they would expect to see something.

I go on holiday abroad on Sunday so I’m a bit worried about the timing of everything!

I think your lines look great! I’m just a day or so behind you and these are what mine look like. The easy@home one looks quite light to me so trying not to worry about that!

how are you feeling? Any symptoms?

Boobs are slightly sore but other than that feeling fine. Just very anxious that all will go ok. I’ve been having some very light brown spotting so just hoping that will settle soon. Hope you get good news when you get your blood result!

You can see the average HcG levels for each day after ovulation but on the right hand column it gives the range. There is a massive variety in minimum and maximum so probably the line colour can vary a lot!

@BastardesEverywherei knew my last pregnancy was bad because my tests were light. They didn’t progress as much but it turn out to be ectopic, so I think it’s causing me stress

i feel sick waiting for the call! Last week they called at 5pm. Still hours to wait…!
my hcg was 124 last Thursday so it should be around 500 today if viable 🤞🏻

@whatdoyouthink123456 no 3rd all going well but my kids are a good bit older so feels like I’m starting all over again. As far as I remember I had a bit of spotting with them
too and all was ok so trying not to over think it. My doctor is lovely, I spoke with her today and she said around 6 weeks she can refer me onto the EPU to have a look and see if everything is as it should be. I always find these weeks so hard, it’s like being in limbo just waiting and hoping everything will be ok. Let us know how you get on when you get the call!

iv had bad fertility luck over the years so I’m very sceptical.

I'm soo annoyed that I don’t know my dates as we ‘took a break’ after 2.5 years of trying. I wanted the summer to lose weight and focus on our wedding! Typically that it would happen now on the one month I don’t track ovulation 🫠

@RadishTeaso the hcg level does impact the darkness? People on here always say it doesn’t make a difference

They just called! My hcg is now 1,156 🎉 from 124 on Thursday morning.
they are going to scan me tomorrow to try confirm it’s not ectopic. They can hopefully see a pregnancy in the uterus tomorrow 🤞🏻

my ectopic last year was soo bad, I don’t think I could survive something like that again x

Thank you! I don’t feel I’m out of the woods yet (history of miscarriages) but I’m glad it’s moving in the right direction x
