Hope it’s not too early to start this! For anyone trying in May, and “out” for April.

By some miracle I did fall pregnant this month after over a year TTC but it ended in a chemical just before 5 weeks. I’d tried some new things last cycle (inc baby aspirin and L’arginine, using preseed and doing a daily morning walk!) so going to try all of that again this month and keep my fingers crossed 🤞🏻 don’t know when I’ll ovulate yet but I imagine it’ll be right at the end of April…

Waiting for my AF to come which are now 3 days late, which is so annoying. Cant wait for them to come so I can start again trying cycle 2 x

Chocolateeggsarebetterthannormalchocolate · 23/04/2025 19:25

Thanks @FlyHighSky72you too!

SureLook · 23/04/2025 19:25

@AlbatrossSociety sometimes taking a break from the tracking is what you need! Hahaha, oh my god. Didn't realise I wrote that 😂😂

@Chocolateeggsarebetterthannormalchocolate I was just 35 when I had my first. I felt the pressure then so I'm definitely feeling it now. Just very aware of my age.

That's very annoying @Dreamymama hopefully it comes soon!

Morning ladies,
1DPO today, just coming on for a whinge really, we're 8 months into TTC and god doesn't it just take the romance out of everything, no-one tells you these things 😅I sometimes wonder if temping & OPKing is making me worse or better, on one hand its so useful to know but the other hand it stresses me out during fertile week & if we dont manage to DTD on certain days, which also puts pressure on hubby as much as I try not to. Ugh, they should teach these things in school 😆

Yesss on everything! Everyone says relax and it will happen, but if I don’t test maybe I miss my fertile window and that would stress me out even more, and with no testing we would have to DTD a lot more 😂
2 DPO today so we’re only 1 day apart!

Yesss! The pressure! Urggghhhh. We are 1dpo together. I didn't use OPK or test my bbt. But I'm pretty sure I ovulated yesterday. I felt a full ache on my lower left tummy for 10 minutes.

FlyHighSky72 · 23/04/2025 17:35

Thanks @FigPigand @SureLookim not sure how hubby will feel about it if I say I’ve got a plan for how often we should DTD….sort of removes the romance a bit!

yeah I didn't mention it to my DP last time round and don't plan to this time either. It definitely takes the spontaneity out of it. I just try to initiate DTD when I know is the right times. I tried to do SMEP the month we conceived our son, don't think it was exactly especially the 3 days in a row but it worked. Might try and make sure we DTD pretty regularly anyway so it's not as obvious during fertile period lol. AF due next week for me then properly trying. I'd love to say I'll just relax and see what happens but I get quite focused on it and I like knowing when I'm ovulating etc

Thisisouryear2025 · 21/04/2025 18:58

@MayaB it’s hard isn’t it, I’m only cycle 4 so can imagine you are getting sad at 15 months. Hopefully his S.A. comes back ok. My OH is also going to have one in May and il have bloods done again. How old are you if you don’t mind me asking? I’m 36 and OH is 42 so I am telling myself it’s going to take a while.

We are both in our early 40s and this is why I am stressing so much. Although my hormons are at the level of someone between 20 and 29 yrs old, we have not had any luck. My diet is clean, I work out 6-7 days a week for 20yrs +, I take my supplements, don't smoke or drink, don't drink coffee either. I have done all I can think of now.
Just waiting for hubby's tests now, his SA is on the 14th May which would be in my fertile window and he is not allowed to have sex 3 days prior 😫 So, unless a miracle happens and I get pregnant in April, next month would most likely be out of question for me.
Thank you for your support 💗🙏@Thisisouryear2025

Girls, does anybody know how long does it take to get the results for SA? Xx

FlyHighSky72 · 24/04/2025 11:14

oh @MayaBsorry to hear that! No advice or info but sending lots of luck

Midnight00 · 24/04/2025 11:22

My DH had his SA yesterday and they said results would be in two weeks but expect that differs between hospitals. Yes he had to abstain too but luckily I was on my period so fine timing.

Bumblebee1984 · 24/04/2025 11:30

@MayaB that's annoying timing wise. Are your cycles very regular. Hopefully you can fit in at least once over fertile period before he has to abstain for 3 days. Sorry it's taking a while for you. I'm in my 40's too, 40 to be precise.

Thisisouryear2025 · 24/04/2025 12:53

@MayaB it just isn’t fair really! The whole thing! I’m hoping my OH isn’t booked for a S.A. during my fertile week either, even if you can just get one try in it’s better than nothing I guess. You probs have a decent egg reserve then, I don’t know that. I was told egg quality is more important so I’m just telling myself to lower my expectations now as I am not in my 20s. It’s hard though when you want it so much. Hopefully both S.A. come back good for us! Sounds like you are doing all you can. I’m like you, fit healthy good bmi active great diet and supplements so I’m like BFP where are you?? 🫣 are you going private for your S.A.? X

Dreamymama · 24/04/2025 13:12

So true about the stress like if I don’t test I am stressed what if I missed th fertile window if I test I need to do the deed during that time and that’s also stressful lol. Currently still waiting for my periods for this month so I can get on with my next cycle but no luck yet 😭

MayaB · 24/04/2025 15:18

Thank you so much, girls, for all the support 💓 Yes, we will do our best to try at least once during the fertile window if possible. I suppose that's better than nothing 😊

@Thisisouryear2025 I went private for my tests because I assumed our GP wouldn't help since I already have one child (from previous marriage) and I am over 40. However, she was lovely when my husband asked for tests and refered him straight away. He's never had children though so I dont know if this made any difference in terms of referals, etc.. We are in Hertfordhire.

I agree about the egg quality and yes, my AMH is unusually high for my age so it looks like I do have good reserve left but the doctor explained these levels can decline rapidly at my age and may look very different in 12 months. He also advised Q10 which I have been taking for 6 months now. My periods are textbook perfect with ovulation exactly at the same time each months.

peanutForever · 24/04/2025 16:54

You never know it coukd be the trick to getting your pregnant @MayaBfingers and toes crossed for you and that the S.A comes back okay!

FlyHighSky72 · 24/04/2025 17:49

I take Q10 too @MayaBplus Proceive Max. Hubby not taking anything at the moment. What do you all take?

peanutForever · 24/04/2025 17:58

@FlyHighSky72i have been taking Naitre vitamin sachets (mega pricey but raving reveiws), coq10 (ubiquinol form) and proceive omega 3 fish oil...hubby has been doing the same and weve been taking since end of jan/beg of feb- we also have a pack of proceive max as i bought them forgetting that i had signed up for subscription! How about everyone else?

peanutForever · 24/04/2025 18:01

@FlyHighSky72im also taking baby aspirin and having beetroot juice in the tww...i tried to seed cycle this month but gave up after day 14 😂

SureLook · 24/04/2025 18:21

@FlyHighSky72 I'm taking folic acid with vitamin D and omegas. I may look at taking coq10 if we've no luck over the next few months.

Hi everyone, been a little quiet on here since my chemical pregnancy in January, following a MMC in December ‘23. 2 and a half years of trying, heartbreak after heartbreak. I’ve turned 24 a couple of weeks ago, (ovulation day apparently)!! DTD on my birthday and as a result, baby number 1 is on its way, due date 1st of Jan 2026. How bizarre is that!!! Sending baby dust to everyone💕💕
