Hope it’s not too early to start this! For anyone trying in May, and “out” for April.

By some miracle I did fall pregnant this month after over a year TTC but it ended in a chemical just before 5 weeks. I’d tried some new things last cycle (inc baby aspirin and L’arginine, using preseed and doing a daily morning walk!) so going to try all of that again this month and keep my fingers crossed 🤞🏻 don’t know when I’ll ovulate yet but I imagine it’ll be right at the end of April…

Hi all! AF is just arriving so cycle 3 begins now for baby2. I'm 35 now and it's already not happened as quick as baby1, who is now 4, so I'm conscious of this!

I read on a thread the other day about a 'something method' (obviously replace the word something with the correct word...). It was about having sex every other day, then the days of or after ovulation, then 3 days later or something like that. Does anyone know what it is called? The poster said it worked for them so wanting to read up on it!

Here's to a positive month of trying for us ✨️

It’s the Sperm Meets Egg Plan, I think!

Yes, that's the one! Thank you

Tested 10dpo today and negative so just waiting for AF to start fresh cycle. I’ve not tracked BBT before. Does anyone have any advice on what to do?

Good luck everyone x

I'm also interested in this, this month!

@MayaBi feel your pain, I feel quite sad right now too. I get a scan picture weekly from people
around me and I also sit here and think is it ever going to be me getting a bfp!! It’s a hard journey! I think next cycle il take a more relaxed approach as I agree I need a break. Haw many cycles in are you and is this for baby no1? Keep strong 🩷

Thank you xx
This would be my 2nd but concieved twice before on the first try with my ex-husband (one pregnancy ended in missed miscarriage). And now married again but we've had no luck so far, 15 months ttc 😫 Waiting for his tests next month' because mine came back fine.

AlbatrossSociety · 21/04/2025 18:17

I use an oura ring for bbt monitoring - my partner bought one for valentines day 😂. It's good in that I don't have to take my temperature every morning at the same time - which I understand is quite important if you're using a thermometer. My 2 yo is an early riser and doesn't sleep through consistently so I like having something that tracks it through the night.

I would say I don't necessarily trust it to be suuuuper accurate and I think it is a bit lower than it would be if I took my temperature in my mouth, purely because obviously the ring is worn on the finger. Overall, I'm glad I have it but I'm not sure I would 100% recommend it given the price point.

I like the data that tracking bbt gives and I also like that it gives me a heads up when my periods coming. Having said that it does add another thing that can stress me out sometimes. I'm CD9 today and my temperature has risen for no discernable reason and sometimes things like that make me worry there's something wrong with me.

I feel you!! Sending so much love ❤️ I’m at the point of getting jealous when influencers announce their pregnancys 😂

Thank you lovely 💗
I am the same 🤣 3 of my favourite influencers announced their pregnancies in the past week. I was thinking to unfollow them for a while, I just can't take it.

Thank you. What time of the month do you have to check BBT? Is it in the lead up to ovulation like LH? And should it go up for ovulation? Sorry so many questions 😂 x

Thisisouryear2025 · 21/04/2025 18:58

@MayaB it’s hard isn’t it, I’m only cycle 4 so can imagine you are getting sad at 15 months. Hopefully his S.A. comes back ok. My OH is also going to have one in May and il have bloods done again. How old are you if you don’t mind me asking? I’m 36 and OH is 42 so I am telling myself it’s going to take a while.

Every day is best, it should in theory be lower in the follicular phase, rise after ovulation and stay higher in luteal phase, then drop again just before period.

Taysonic · 21/04/2025 19:27

Hi all. Do you mind if I join?

Have been chatting mainly on the TTC Feb 2025 group up until this point.

Been TTC for my #2, my partner's 1st since Jan 25. Much to our surprise in March, after what I thought was my period, I tested positive. Obviously was quite anxious as had been bleeding. And then confirmed miscarriage at just over 6 weeks.

We wanted to start trying again straight away, but perhaps a bit tentatively... I do BBT and use OPKs but wouldn't say very reliantly this month. Reckon I'm about 10dpo today.

Had some spotting last night after sex (which happened last month, and took it as a sign AF was on her way... Thinking the same this time but very conscious this is what happened last cycle when I did end up pregnant).

All in all, bit emotional and confused and just want to get out of this TWW with a definite outcome either way.

Hoping this is a lucky thread! Maybe some Valentines Day due dates??

Hahah yeeeeess 😂 I have unfollowed a few, right now their content just reminds me of what I don’t have, even if I’m happy for them 💗 It’s worse when it’s colleagues or maybe DH friends announcing, you can’t unfollow them 😂

BerrieSweet · 21/04/2025 21:22

I just found out the cutest thing!😂 Apparently sperm go into sleepmode in pockets in the cervix if an egg isn’t there when they arrive, and when the egg is released it gives off a scent that makes them swim back out and try to fertilize the egg. They survive in the pockets in up to 5 days (as most probably know) if you have EWCM. So cute 🥹😂

peanutForever · 21/04/2025 21:42

@BerrieSweetthat is kind of cute our potential babies playing hide and seek and coming when called - makes so much sense tho they must conserve their energy for when the egg is actually there then make a run for it when it is

We DTD but im pretty sure ive missed the window (felt ovulation ages before and pretty sure the egg was not still chilling at that point) so im excited to start afresh next cycle!

i may not bother with the opks i started to test this month to track then got busy and didnt test when i actually needed to so its taken the pressure off massively. Im having aspirin and beetroot juice just incase, any other recommendations?

FlyHighSky72 · 21/04/2025 21:49

Hello, please can I join. About to get my copper coil removed and then start TTC! What’s the aspirin and beetroot juice for?

Onwardsandupwards2025 · 21/04/2025 22:12

Hi all, can I join? I’m on my second month of trying and I’m on cycle day 3. TTC baby number one and I’m early 30s. I wasn’t tracking so much at first, just used the clear blue tests until I got a smiley. I’ve now ordered some of the easy at home ovulation tests and downloaded the premom app to track.

peanutForever · 22/04/2025 07:06

@FlyHighSky72ive had multiple miscarriages/cp thats why im on baby aspirin! Its not suitable for everyone -most dont need it but i am under the advice of my dr (as had a successful pregnancy with DS)

I will also be put on progesterone once pregnant, and i heard beetroot juice helps aid implanation- i believe they are both anti-inflammatory and support blood flow for the uterine lining :)

Ah thanks - sorry to hear about your miscarriage and CP. Hope you get a sticky bean soon

Notsure31 · 22/04/2025 07:46

Tentatively joining. I’ve got a hysteroscopy on May the 9th and hoping to get the all clear to ttc after that. It’s following a TFMR I had in March and I had an MVA for retained tissue this month. I’m at risk of scar tissue due to having previous MVAs for recurrent miscarriage and I’m also currently being treated with antibiotics for endometritis (not to be confused with endometriosis) so hoping it goes away. I’ve always conceived first time every cycle so hoping that won’t change now 🤞 xx

I tried beetroot juice last month but the taste was unbearable 🙈

I do really think baby aspirin helps though. I tried it for 2 months and got the Bfp on the second. Just didn’t stick. I’m really tempted to do a private consultation to look at getting progesterone - I’ve seen Nova fertility recommended, can get an appt in the next week but I think it’s about £150 for appt and people saying £600 for the drugs! So hard, I should wait for nhs but then I feel like is it worth just paying if it means it actually happens?

Hi ladies, hope you're all ok!
I'm CD 13 today & LH tests just increasing so think i'll get my peak tonight or tomorrow.
In terms of testing, i'm similar to some of you and avoid testing unless my bbt stays high!
@Taysonic good to see you here too, hope you're feeling a bit better today?

That's good it's come around so quick. I'm expecting first AF next week after coming off the pill so will be a few weeks before it's time to properly start. Although we weren't careful last week so who knows. I think I'll get some OPK as I do quite like them but I do get ovulation pain so can usually tell. Might try SMEP too. We pretty much did that when we conceived my son so no harm in trying again if we can manage it
