Hope it’s not too early to start this! For anyone trying in May, and “out” for April.

By some miracle I did fall pregnant this month after over a year TTC but it ended in a chemical just before 5 weeks. I’d tried some new things last cycle (inc baby aspirin and L’arginine, using preseed and doing a daily morning walk!) so going to try all of that again this month and keep my fingers crossed 🤞🏻 don’t know when I’ll ovulate yet but I imagine it’ll be right at the end of April…

@2Sugars2I am in EXACTLY the same position! Fertile window predicted as this week and ovulation day tomorrow but now I’ve started taking OPKs it’s moved it! Panicking me because I have regular periods and therefore presume I might not have a long enough time post ovulation to implant if I don’t ovulate until later!! Argh!! Is it 10 days the minimum post ovulation for implantation?

2Sugars2 · 30/04/2025 14:37

sorry @FlyHighSky72 I just completely butted in on your convo then!! But it is good to know we are in all the same boat!

2Sugars2 · 30/04/2025 14:42

@FlyHighSky72 we are having the same panic... I honestly don't know much about timescales for implantation. I'm pretty new to this, only on cycle 3 so I'm probably not the best to advise. Maybe one of the other more experienced lovely ladies on here can answer your question. I also have regular periods, so never though ovulating (or at least tracking it) would be a major thing for me, but here we are!! Premom is telling me to DTD today, so that's exactly what I will do. But I do worry that my LH levels are low still.

@FigPig@jelliebean9i feel moody so i have to be pregnant too 😂😂😂

Me too 😂😂

FlyHighSky72 · 30/04/2025 15:02

Thanks @2Sugars2this is cycle 1 for me! I’m pretty clueless clearly!! Yeah will follow @FigPigs advice and continue to DTD every other day and just see what happens I guess!!

SureLook · 30/04/2025 16:36

@2Sugars2 & @FlyHighSky72 I'm the exact same! My ovulation was predicted on the 3rd but Premom has pushed it to the 6th now. We're following SMEP so DTD every other day since Monday. Since I haven't caught the last two cycles I did a bit of Googling. If your luteal phase (from ovulation to AF) is less than ten days it can contribute to difficulty conceiving. Judging from my EWCM in the previous cycles I definitely have had a short luteal phase. I'm hoping as I move further away from my MMC that my luteal phase will lengthen 🤞🏻

FlyHighSky72 · 30/04/2025 16:45

Good luck @SureLook! What brand of OPKs are you using (and you @2Sugars2?) wondering if that’s also an issue here?? Anyone used wondfo before?

SureLook · 30/04/2025 17:01

@FlyHighSky72 thanks! I'm using easy@home and the Premom app. I was using the narrow width One Step from Amazon but they were no use! I've never used Wondfo before, sorry.

Just wondered if anyone had experiences with pregnacare pre conception…

My cycles are normally 27-29 days
started taking it daily a few months ago - that first cycle was 40 days long (longest ever!)

Last month I had ran out and just took folic acid that I had in the cupboard - cycle was 27 days with LH peak day 16

Im on CD 20 today with still no sign of a peak - Ive realised this morning I started back with the pregnacare since last AF. I know they say theres no evidence it can affect you but googled it and people seem to have stories of it delaying ovulation and periods. May just be a coincidence but thinking of stopping it and seeing how I go - has anyone got any similar experiences?

Hi, so I take Pregnacare Preconception. I stopped taking it once and started again. It definitely affected my first cycle after taking, on the second round my second cycle was slightly delayed but then it settles back to normal. I think it's just the initial change, you should find if you keep taking them you settle back to your normal cycle but that is totally up to you 😊hope that helps slightly!

curliegirlie · 30/04/2025 17:20

The apps can only go by whatever data you input. Without data it assumes a text book 28 day/ov on day 14/14 day LP cycle; just using AF dates probably continues the assumption of a 14 day LP. If you start inputting temps and OPKs, theoretically it should become more accurate, but I must say PreMom seems particularly stubborn compared to Fertility Friend, which at least shifts dates in response to positive OPKs and BBT...

SureLook · 30/04/2025 17:36

Thanks @curliegirlie this is my first month using Premom. It has shifted for me so far but I'll definitely keep an eye on it!

FigPig · 30/04/2025 17:48

Yeah I find Premom shifts about a fair bit. I think it gets confused because I have such low levels that it assumes my fertile period is delayed, and then my readings suddenly shoot up and it recalibrates back!

FlyHighSky72 · 30/04/2025 18:08

Thanks @SureLook! @FigPigwould you mind posting a screen shot of a past month of OPKs? I’m struggling with what a ‘normal’ pattern might look like! No worries if you don’t want to

FigPig · 30/04/2025 18:16

Sure, here you go. There’s a bit of a gap because tbh I did the tests and didn’t bother recording them as they were all .2 and it was just messing the app’s predictions up. I knew I’d spike suddenly and you can see that I did! .5 on day 14 morning to 1.13 a few hours later.

The random .77 is because I was SO well hydrated haha.

I’ve just found this which is useful (to me anyway) about the different OPKs out there - https://storkacademy.com/top-6-ovulation-tests/

FlyHighSky72 · 30/04/2025 18:17

Thanks so much @FigPig

SureLook · 30/04/2025 19:35

@FlyHighSky72 here's mine. It's only my first month of doing them so I'm learning. I drink LOADS of water so I've learned to be strategic with that and hold my wee for as long as I can. It's all a learning curve!

FlyHighSky72 · 30/04/2025 19:44

Thanks @SureLook! So do I (re the drinking) - hard to do both drinking a lot and OPKs BlushConfused - do you know what counts as ‘high’?

Bas27 · 30/04/2025 20:11

Finding the opk information really interesting although I’m glad it doesn’t make too much sense to me otherwise I would definitely get sucked down that rabbit hole. 😂

SureLook · 30/04/2025 20:30

@FlyHighSky72 I try to drink the water in the morning and in the evening cause I can only really test after work. Big change for me 😂

Katfluff21 · 30/04/2025 20:30

Hi ladies

I'm still getting a super strong positive opk, all day yesterday and all day today. Is it normal to have a peak for so long??

This was taken 5mins ago (apologies for the wrinkly fingers I just had a long shower 😂)

I'm assuming this should get lighter tomorrow?

FlyHighSky72 · 30/04/2025 20:53

Sorry for going on and on @Bas27Blush! Haha @SureLookI'm not sure I can manage that - esp in this heat!

SureLook · 30/04/2025 21:25

@Katfluff21 I'm no expert on the OPKs but I think a day or two is normal and then it should come down.

@FlyHighSky72 I know, I struggled today 🥵

Mickey1995 · 30/04/2025 12:04

Thank you all ❤️ hoping I just start my period now. Has anyone had one before and did it affect the next cycle / ovulation? X

So sorry 😞 I had one last month, really not nice x my following cycle I ovulated a couple of days earlier, so just keep that in mind. If you track ovulation just start tracking a little earlier x

ThisZippyViewer · 01/05/2025 06:15

Peak finally arrived this morning bit of a delay this month

premom is saying my peak was yesterday - am I right in thinking yesterday looks like my “surge” with my “peak” being today?
