Hope it’s not too early to start this! For anyone trying in May, and “out” for April.

By some miracle I did fall pregnant this month after over a year TTC but it ended in a chemical just before 5 weeks. I’d tried some new things last cycle (inc baby aspirin and L’arginine, using preseed and doing a daily morning walk!) so going to try all of that again this month and keep my fingers crossed 🤞🏻 don’t know when I’ll ovulate yet but I imagine it’ll be right at the end of April…

@am44adont forget your uterus also stretches lots in the beginning so feels like cramps, is its light pink/dark brown then i would put it down to implantation bleeding especially at 11dpo, so try not to be too upset..everything sounds normal at this stage unless the spotting turns into a period xx

am44a · 27/04/2025 19:47

@peanutForeverYeah I assumed it was stretching at first as i’ve had light on off cramps for a few days now. Atm it kinda is feeling very stretched, gassy and warm tingly types of cramps but then i’m also getting the odd cramps that are exactly like period ones:(.
Idk if I want to get my hopes up again as it feels so unlikely i’m pregnant as i’ve never been before yet:( xx

Finally got my periods 3 days ago. On cycle 2 of trying for baby #2. Ovulation predicted 11th May! When do I start doing the ovulation tests?

I'm going to join again this month. Had two losses (14 weeks and 10 weeks), and 2 chemicals pregnancies within 24 months, and am 37 with no children. So I am doing ALL THE THINGS this month.

Vitamins: CoQ10, Omega 3, Magnesium, Folate, Iron, Vit D, Probiotics

Tried ovulation tests for the first time this month and seem to be 1/2DPO.
I'm with a clinic and a fertility specialist and going to try progesterone and baby aspirin starting in a few days. I'm going to limit caffeine and sugar, and not drink alcohol. Exercising regularly too XD

I conceived this time of year for the past two years, so I'm giving it a good go. (I think it's because I'm a lecturer and work stops being so stressful at this time of year).

Also feeling the fear because I'm 37, but also know lots of people who have had lovely babies at this age. Despite this, trying to be as chilled as I can be!

Ooh that's quite a history, wishing you every success this time x

Hi Dreamymama, think it depends on which type you are using. Also, depends on usual cycle length so just follow what it says on the box and you'll be fine. X

8dpo today so did a quick test, maybe potentially 0.001% chance of a faint line 😅😅😅 but I don't know So can't see it and says if it's difficult to see normally it doesn't count.
Still early days though yet 🤞

SureLook · 27/04/2025 20:42

Sorry @MayaB if you want to test then do but wait till morning so you get the most accurate result.

SureLook · 27/04/2025 20:43

Question in relation to uploading the OPKs onto the Premom app. I set a timer for five minutes and check it then. It's still a bit wet looking at that point. Are you waiting until it's fully dry before taking the picture or do you take it at the five minute mark? I checked today's one a few minutes later and it was fully dry and a bit darker. Thanks 😊

ttcjourney20001 · 27/04/2025 20:48

Hey everyone. Symptoms aren’t as severe today, nausea is there in the pre evening and first thing when I wake up, tiredness and fatigue but nothing else really. Trying not to worry myself too much as I’ve got trauma from the last two losses. Took a test at the crack of dawn this morning and I think it’s darker than the test I took (top) two days ago. What do you guys think!l do you think I’m being too anxious? It’s just my symptoms aren’t always there I feel better today but when I’ve previously lost symptoms I’ve lost them. Bittersweet feeling

Ok.... just noticed my ovulation tests had an expiry date of Feb 2024 on them 🤣 which are the best to get or does it not matter?

MayaB · 27/04/2025 20:59

@ttcjourney20001 definitely darker 👌 I think it's normal for symptoms intensity to vary from day to day.

@SureLook and @BerrieSweet thank you girls 💖

SureLook · 27/04/2025 21:04

@TruthUnwinding sorry to hear of your losses. Sounds like you're doing everything possible 🤞🏻

@am44a I had implantation bleeding with both my previous pregnancies. Both around 10/11dpo. Pale pink that faded off as the day went on. Only there when I wiped. I also got BFPs when I had the bleeding. Test again in the morning 🤞🏻

@YKM2829 oooh, test again tomorrow!

@ttcjourney20001 definitely darker, 100%!

@Chocolateeggsarebetterthannormalchocolate I got the easy@home as recommended on here.

Chocolateeggsarebetterthannormalchocolate · 27/04/2025 21:18

Thanks @SureLook just ordered some!

peanutForever · 27/04/2025 21:28

@ttcjourney20001defo darker! Hope that reassures you a bit xx

am44a · 27/04/2025 21:33

@SureLookI’m not sure I can call mine bfps yet these were my tests this morning 😊the middle test was with 2nd morning urine and other two i kinda forced a wee out 10 minutes after😅 I just done another ic too and couldn’t really see anything on it :/
I’ll still test tomorrow though really hoping it’s not a faulty test xx

Emilym1609 · 27/04/2025 21:35

Hello all :) new here!

TTC for the first time since November..had an early loss (8 weeks) in January after our first cycle of trying. My cycles have been a bit all over the place since then, so only really our second 'proper' attempt this cycle. Currently 3DPO..had the most noticeable LH surge this month, which was reassuring date wise, so I can avoid testing too early!

I was so excited and chilled going into this journey but definitely have some more anxiety following the early loss! Going to try and wait until 12DPO for my first test but my will power might not allow it!!

CinnamonBuns67 · 27/04/2025 21:38

I'll be starting TTC for baby number 2 in May, I'm due to get my implant removed on the 16th. I'll be starting to take folic acid this week. Are ovulation tests worth it? I'll be coming off the implant and my periods have become very unregular whilst I've been on it.

SureLook · 27/04/2025 21:49

@am44a I think I can see a line in the inverted pics 🤞🏻

@Emilym1609 welcome! Sorry to hear of your loss. Lots of us here with that experience also, sadly.

@CinnamonBuns67 I didn't really track with my previous two pregnancies but I'm in my third cycle now so I'm properly tracking this month!

am44a · 27/04/2025 19:23

Hey lady’s :) has anyone here had implantation bleeding before? I’m 11dpo (rough guess as I didn’t track but going off cm) I tested this morning and got a faint line on a one step test so done two more with a forced wee as I was excited and the lines obviously were hardly there but shown inverted. Anyway I walked around all day today on cloud 9 thinking i’m pregnant just to come home and have bleeding and cramps:( I don’t know if it’s my period I assumed it was however it’s very pale pink? When I first wiped tmi but it was like abit of dark blood with cm.
The cramps r kinda like period cramps probs more central but tbh im insane at this point so am most likely over thinking!

Just feeling so deflated and done every month I get my hopes up and it’s always so heartbreaking. I also always have really long cycles so I was not expecting or mentally prepared to get my period this early :( xx

Ahh I'm sorry this is such a horrible feeling. I think if it's just spotting you're having, then that could be normal. I definitely remember having spotting around when I was due on my period with my son, but it was browny, never red. If you do properly come on in the next few days, then I would count it as a chemical/early loss as you've had a faint positive. I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for you! Hopefully your test tomorrow is darker!

Finally got my periods 3 days ago. On cycle 2 of trying for baby #2. Ovulation predicted 11th May! When do I start doing the ovulation tests?

I usually start my Easy at Home ovulation strips at CD8 (the day after I finish bleeding) so I can see my LH progression every day on the premom app. Then start my Clearblue digital on CD10 because they're really expensive and I don't want to waste them starting too early 😂

I found ovulation tests really useful after having my mirena coil removed. It took a few months for my cycles to settle down, and I was ovulating anywhere from CD10 to CD20, so I'd have missed it without the strips.

@charlzzThank you💕 it seems to have stopped kinda now? It was more like maroonish than bright red but still was not what I was expecting if it was implantation bleeding🥲x
