TTC #4 at 39!

Fluffy38 · 13/03/2025 09:35

Morning everybody, looking for support/company in my TTC journey!
Bit of back ground info I'm 39 on Saturday so well aware time isn't on my side. I have 3 Children (19,12 and 6) and have had multiple miscarriages between those 3, last year I had 2 mc and a mmc at 12 weeks which resulted in a major hemorrhage and emergency surgery! We have been TTC actively since but feel very lonely in this journey 😢 Hubby is fantastic and very supportive but I feel speaking with people going through the same will help to feel less alone and less guilty that my body is failing me xx

Hey! What camera is that then @Fluffy38? Is it that Hycosy thingy ma bob? 😂😂 exciting!
Oh really! He probably feels under pressure to perform more than likely!! 🥴 It doesn’t ever put my hubby off and he’s 59!! He’s super healthy though and eats really well, hasn’t drank alcohol for about 15 years. It makes a massive difference I should imagine! Fingers crossed for you this month though!

@sjbsorry to hear what you’ve been through my love. Glad you have met your one and good luck to you for #4! Me and @Fluffy38have older ones too. Mine are 20, 13 and almost 3! X

BabyBorn · 01/06/2025 19:38

We don't admit that tho! We are strong independent women lol 😆. I have to admit it's refreshing having an older man, all my friends have issues with their partners going out all the time or being unfaithful and I honestly don't have to worry about that! He's happiest at home infront of the telly haha 😄 xx

Hi ladies 🙂! Can I join you all please?
I am 37, ttc #3. Been trying since Oct 2022. I fell pregnant twice quite quickly when we started. Both pregnancies ended in mmc. The last mmc was in August 2023 and I haven't had any joy since.
I have had all of the tests and dh had sperm analysis done, everything came back great so it is very much unexplained (and frustrating!). I had an hsg this cycle, but also got covid so I had a bit of a strange cycle with a short period and lack of cm.
Anyways, got a bfn this morning so waiting for my period to arrive so that I can start a new cycle.

How is everyone else getting on this month? Where are you all in your cycles?

Welcome @sunf10wer of course your welcome to join us. I had 3 consecutive mcs last year one of which was a mmc resulting in a major hemorrhage!! We have been ttc since with no luck. I'm having all the fertility blood work done next week and a camera on the 17th July. Currently 7dpo so can start testing on Thursday i think xx

It's to check my uterus, tubes, follicles ect, I could have alot of scar tissue in my uterus from having to have 3 emergency D&Cs over the years (2 retained placenta 1 MMC) so they want to check everything is as it should be xx

That's really good, well hopefully they don't find any issues but if they do, they can resolve then easily enough. @Fluffy38

Afternoon everyone, hope you are all having a great day! So I'm currently 8dpo I had a little light cramping yesterday afternoon, this morning I woke up without feeling tired I felt alive sounds bizarre I know but don't really know how to explain it! I caved in an POAS (premon amazon special lol) and had the faintest line within the time frame but not really any colour fast forward to now and I brought a more expensive early detection test and I had a normal first response left from last month to so also dipped it lol both tests have lines!! I'm shaking, crying (happy tears) I needed to tell someone as hubby isn't home til gone 4! Is it to early to feel a little excited. Also its almost exactly a year (06/06/24) since I got my bfp which ended in mmc. Xx

Exciting!! EPU will scan you then will they? Don’t do it too early as won’t be able to see anything and will cause more worry! I’m due on in 5/6 days. I am deffo out though as have not DTD since cycle before!! Xx

EPU will get me in for a viability scan around 6weeks will most likely be an internal one to check its where it should be. Today I'm alot more positive I did a digital and seeing it in text makes it feel more real. Iv picked up all my meds and will be starting them at 7pm. Having a month off might just be what you need like a reset. I honestly didn't think we would catch this month because I wasn't as on it as normal and with the tests coming up I wasn't to worried. I think that was the reason it worked because I wasn't fixated on it xx

Hey Ladies, how's everyone getting on?, hope you are all well Xx. Thought I'd post a lil update, been on the blood thinning injections and cyclogest for a week now and so far so good. Symtoms are starting to ramp up! I'm booked for a viability scan on Monday. Don't expect to see much but as long as its positive I can go with that. XX

Thank you 😊, I was so shocked to get the positive, we were due fertility tests today and July but don't need those right now. I think hubby and I were almost at the point of giving up because the emotional drain it causes and I guess what they say is true when you don't focus on it it will happen xx
