Friendly/supportive/sensitive thread 🌱

Hi everyone, I was hoping to start a nice friendly supportive and sensitive thread. Maybe for those ttc for a while or after losses or just finding things difficult with ttc in general. I love to read others have had bfp's as it gives me hope, but have been finding some threads with alot of positive test pictures posted quite difficult.
Hoping to find others looking for the same as it's lovely to have a place to rant, feel sad, feel happy, get advice, or just obsess without judgement 🙂

I am 36, started ttc 2 years ago, had 2 mmc, and have now been ttc for 14 months since the last one without success. Currently on cd14 on a "not tracking"cycle. x

@CabbageFan I’ve not heard of that medication before, but it’s good they have taken it seriously & given you something to try. I hope you notice a difference

@Vanilla90 nothing to report here, cd11 and no signs of anything. Hope you are ok

carolinep3 · 22/01/2025 19:33

@CabbageFan it's good that your Gp prescribed that then, mine said GP's are our surgery are not fertility trained and therefore can't prescribe any fertility drugs and I would need a fertility referral (which I probably wouldn't get as I have children already) just to get some progesterone if that was the problem.

CabbageFan · 22/01/2025 20:51

@carolinep3 That sucks! Would you able to see an ob/gyn? I was incredibly lucky to get an appointment straight to a gynecologist through our town's maternity/family planning clinic. She's not a fertility specialist per se, but very experienced otherwise.
The public fertility clinic here requires at least a year of ttc, and having two kids already I know my chances to get there are even slimmer. I was so worried I would be bounced from gp to gp, only to be told "no" in a year.

I'm just going to see where I stand after the progesterone tests, it is just so hard schedule them for the right days when the clinics aren't open at weekends and lots are booked up! I don't want to wait an another month!
If I need something I guess I will have to go private and hope it isn't too expensive!

CabbageFan · 22/01/2025 20:59

@carolinep3 I hope you can get it sorted asap! 🫶

Ladyinpink1 · 27/01/2025 17:37

Hey @CabbageFan really glad your appointment went well, getting a good Doc makes all the difference and glad things looked good too. 👍 x

Yes I'm ok too thank you @Vanilla90 period will be here tomorrow so onto the next one, cycle 20 it will be, still hopeful each tww but also really loosing hope at the same time if that makes sense x

@Ladyinpink1 has you period showed up? Hope you’re doing okay. 20 cycles must be so tough

Hope everyone else is doing okay!

Ladyinpink1 · 02/02/2025 16:17

Hi ladies. How is everyone doing? X

BGxxx · 06/02/2025 09:57

@Vanilla90 how many weeks are you now? I’m still in the major anxiety stage I’m trying not to think about it too much but it’s really hard

carolinep3 · 06/02/2025 10:41

I'm gutted, I was so positive and genuinely believed this was the
Month, but no 10dpo started spotting af on her way!

I'm 9+4. I know, it's so hard isn't it! I keep thinking something is going to go wrong. How many weeks are you? Will you consider an early scan? I had one at 8 weeks and it definitely helped with the anxiety!

Sorry to hear that ): It's so disappointing every time 💔

I've been off this thread, because nothing has really been going on. I'm now in cd 17 and have been on the medication for three days so far. Normally by this time I've already been spotting 1-2 days already, so I'm curious to see if the medication helped or if it's just going to start later.
I did have some very light spotting on cd11, but it could be because we got spicy the night before 🤷‍♀️ I've also been tracking my basal body temperature this cycle out of curiosity. I've never done it before. Excited to see how it goes

Yes I’ve got one booked, I’m not sure on my dates so I’m guessing I’ll be between 7-8 weeks. I haven’t had as bad sickness as with my first so i think that’s making me anxious although the other symptoms are the same

Figtree11 · 06/02/2025 12:28

@Vanilla90 9 weeks already, that’s done quickly. Glad your early scan went well

@BGxxx sorry you are feeling anxious about these early days

@carolinep3 oh that’s tough 😔 it’s so hard when AF appears. I hope next cycle brings better news

@CabbageFan hopefully the medication is doing its thing 🤞🏻how many dpo are you?

I’m 8dpo and just feeling pretty disheartened at the moment. I just know this cycle hasn’t worked. Having no symptoms at all that would indicate pregnancy. Getting tired of all this now

CabbageFan · 06/02/2025 12:36

@Figtree11 I think I'm nothing dpo 😅 I haven't had any ovulation symptoms yet. But I hope it's going to be soon 🤞

Marvelftw · 06/02/2025 12:52

Hi hope everyone is doing ok! 2DPO here. Stomach is feeling a bit sore but it’s not full on cramping like it was the last two cycles post ovulation so I’m in hopes that my body is adjusting to being off the pill properly now. Already saw some other changes already this cycle like only having one high reading using OPK and cramps before ovulating. Two week wait begins 🤞🤞

Figtree11 · 06/02/2025 13:07

@CabbageFan oh sorry, I just presumed it was to stop early spotting before AF. Hopefully ovulation is on the horizon

@Marvelftw good luck

CabbageFan · 06/02/2025 13:17

@Figtree11 oh yeah, it is to stop mid-cycle spotting. I just most likely haven't ovulated yet. I'm not expecting my cycle to shorten yet, so I'm guessing I might ovulate somewhere around cd20? I hope it's not much later than that, or I fear the luteal phase might be too short 🙁

BGxxx · 09/02/2025 15:23

I’ve had a ruptured ectopic this weekend😫 I had an instinct something was wrong this week, then Friday I moved my early scan a week earlier because I just had a feeling something was wrong! I woke up yesterday morning with extreme pain, sickness dizziness. I came to hospital, they took all day to scan me but as I thought the tube had already burst. I had it removed last night. Surprisingly I’m feeling okay, I’m not at all shocked what’s happened and I had the same instinct with my first miscarriage too! Im not going to ttc now until after July, I’ve got holidays booked then and really don’t want to be in early pregnancy aboard

Oh I'm so sorry 😢 how awful! Life really is so cruel sometimes. Really sorry you had to go through that. Are you home now? How are you feeling?

Figtree11 · 09/02/2025 17:41

@BGxxx i’m so so sorry. Sending you lots of love

BGxxx · 09/02/2025 19:58

@Vanilla90 @Figtree11 thanks ladies, I should be going home within the next half hour. The hardest part is being away from my little one, we’ve never been apart for more than a couple of hours so I’ve really struggled!

Figtree11 · 09/02/2025 21:20

@BGxxx hope you are home now & resting up

CabbageFan · 10/02/2025 07:44

@BGxxx oh my, that's horrible. I'm so sorry 💔 I wish you quick healing and good health. You'll be in my thoughts today 🫶
