Thanks for suggesting that I start this thread - its a real honour. Won't be leaving it yet as am only on cd24, despite getting bfps from the 3 tests I have done today (paranoid or what?!).
Lots and lots of babydust to everyone. If this pg is successful, I will have conceived in the midst of an awful cold so that should give everyone some hope. Lots and lots of hugs.....

i know exactly how u feel sparkly and it drives u mad, bonkers!!!!

munnzieb · 06/01/2005 08:58

(sorry it was so long)

clear blue is the american version of persona isn't it? (it's also a lot more expensive when I looked at it cos it's in $ and the sticks have to be shipped in as well as far as I know)

Fastasleep · 06/01/2005 09:03

Well done Tania and best of luck with making those twins , Hester - stop talking about your trendy boots already! Lol, Hester, Jeds and Sparkly - nearly at testing time! Good luck to you all! Good luck to Rudy And cockenzie for the big O too

Help meeeee I'm on cd 27 of a normally 29-31 day cycle, I'm suuuure I'm 15 dpo...aargh! But since my periods like to arrive on the same day each month because my AF is a total weirdo does this mean I have to wait until the 11th to test?! I can't I tell you I can't!....I also don't dare go to superdrug to buy more tests because I think they'd just laugh this time! Although I absolutely have to go because we're down to the last baby wipe...

I've been so odd this week I haven't been out at all, I could have gone swimming with ds but I decided not to because I've never been before and didn't want to be embarrassed while wearing barely anything and then I suddenly thought af might come... and today I've missed out on going to an adventure playground with my friends and ds because I just felt really nervous, even though I've been there loads! I'm going mad! Sorry for the babble.

cockenzie · 06/01/2005 09:13

babble as long as u like lassie.its good to hear u all that way and makes me think i am not going mad!!! hehe .why do we have to be so desperate and cant take it easy? dont know.cheers for explaining persona and the other one.
i cant wait to get pg and stop this rot.

cockenzie · 06/01/2005 09:17

what do u think of this?
put a post on babycenter and asked what they thought about some advice.now this is the response i got.thought it would be interesting.

Hi,

that's not exactly correct. Clear plan fertility monitor will tell you when to bd for getting pg. Persona will tell you what days you def can't get pg. That's a big difference.

Also, only 20% of all perfectly planned and bd-d cycles will result in a pgcy. You can do everything right for months and nothing happens ... ACK!

cockenzie · 06/01/2005 09:17

after that post i am more confused.but think i will trust persona since u all use it and get pretty good results!!??!

Sallie · 06/01/2005 09:22

Tania
Wonderful news for the New Year - heres wishing you loads of luck and sending you lots of babydust!!!

Just done another Boots digital and it came up with a BFP very quickly so I guess I can just put the upset of yesterday down to Predictor being useless!!! Thanks for all your messages. The anxious feeling isn't going to stop until I am another few months on because of the mc I had previously. CD27 today.....

Tania - fabulous news honey, you must be soo excited! Good luck and I hope it all goes well.......

hester · 06/01/2005 09:59

Tania, that is brilliant news. You must be so pleased and relieved that you have a good action plan in place and that you have good odds of being pregnant very soon. Is your dh also feeling relieved?

Twiga · 06/01/2005 10:15

Tania, really pleased to read you news. Great that things are happening so quickly +++++++++++++++++

I'm glad it was just predictor being crap Sallie! Congrats again

Fastasleep · 06/01/2005 10:58

I'm so pathetic...rather than show my face in superdrug ever again I'm now wiping theos smelly bum with warm soapy water and make up pads I've gone so mad! Must get out this weekend before I become a desperate housewife lol

hester · 06/01/2005 11:04

Fastasleep, get yourself down to Superdrug RIGHT NOW! Just to prove to yourself that you can! You have NOTHING to prove to those eejits

ellimum · 06/01/2005 11:10

Hi
Can I join? just started ttc #2 last month.

Went to see my GP to get my coil out and he said " September is a lovely time to have a baby, I'll see you in six weeks" talk about getting your hopes up!

Wish you all the best luck, hope we all get pg soon.

runtus · 06/01/2005 11:56

Blimey, is your GP doing something mine isn't?!

Sallie · 06/01/2005 12:16

...just what I was thinking! Sounds very thorough! I don't expect to get much interest in this pregnancy from my drs or midwives if all things are well and it continues without incident.

Nikkichik · 06/01/2005 12:24

Excellent news Tania - how exciting - good luck. Also good news for Sallie - it is real, it is true - try not to worry!
I could kick myself - went home last night and did a first Response test (24 days into 28 day cycle) after telling myself I wasn't going to cos it was a waste of money, blah, blah, blah. Of course it was a BFN. Boobs don't feel so bad today and I don't feel sick anymore so think af will probably come on schedule! I am an idiot!!! Am seriously thinking of getting a Persona as am wondering if I'm getting my dates a bit confused but I know they are pricey! Wonder if my sil still has hers?

sparkly · 06/01/2005 12:52

Nikkichik, I can totally sympathise. Had to avoid going into Boots at lunchtime today otherwise I would have bought one and tested and then, most probably, been disappointed. I'm only one day ahead of you in my cycle.

I'm holding out till Monday before buying then testing which will of course be done at work so bear with me if I have a mini crisis. Unless, of course, AF arrives

MINNIE1 · 06/01/2005 12:52

Nikkichik, Think we all do that spent a fortune on tests when we could have the price of a persona now!!!!! Just put an add on the MN for sale page to see if any others are finished and want to sell, If no luck i'll buy on ebay the cheaper then boots.. Lets hope you tested to soon... xxxxxx*x baby dust to you

Welcome ellimum hope you stay here is a short one ( in a good way)

cockenzie · 06/01/2005 12:55

any of you who doesnt have a persona yet?
