Thanks for suggesting that I start this thread - its a real honour. Won't be leaving it yet as am only on cd24, despite getting bfps from the 3 tests I have done today (paranoid or what?!).

Hi ladies - just got really p**ed off with my remaining OPK - on usually OV - no line showed up and i've bee bd like mad. That's it I am definately going to get a persona even if I pay full price. Read a book recently which stated OVK were VERY unreliable !

btw - CD11 here and a little cross with persona as it started tests for this cycle yesterday which I think is too soon but you can't argue with a machine!

Isn't Persona just a glorified, multi-use OPK? what's the big deal with it? I've been using OPK and usually when there is a + i double check with anothe brand- the stupid-proof digital clear blue- if the face ain't smiling it ain't happening right?

Hi girls back from my appointment re ivf.
gyno has put me on the pill then said that the embrio transfer should be in 5 weeks WHOO HOOO YIPPEE!!! just means that if it all takes well ds will either have a brother or sister on his 3rd birthday. Have chosen to have 2 of my embrios implanted so i have 40% chance of having TWINS because of my age (27).
love to you all and thank you for all your kind words when i was a blubbering mess last night feeling alot more positive today. But word of warning once i start the hormone injections lookout i will be calling on you guys

Wow Tania - Can't believe how quickly it has all happened (is it my imagination or would it just not have been that quick over here?). I am so happy for you and pleased that you are feeling more positive.

CD12 - persona stick showed a faint line alongside the test line today. Does anyone know if this means I might be O? Seems really early as I have been having a 35+ cycle but not at all sure what's going on with my body so I suppose it's possible.

Tania that is great news about the IVF. I remember doing the injections and the daily monitoring for follicles so can totally understand any hormonal moments!

It's now day CD25 for me - don't have the telltale signs that AF is about to visit but don't have much else either. How early can I test??? Should I leave it till Monday or could I do it this weekend??

Going slightly mad thinking about the possibilities!

cockenzie - CD is from first day of AF. I don't have a technical description but LP is the time between O and AF and is important for starting the growth of a fertilised egg. Ideally I think it is 12-16 days and not any less than 10 (but I'm no expert - that's just what I've picked up from the MN fountain of knowledge!)

what's your usual cycle sparkly? and how many dpo are you? fingers crossed...

rudy - u doing ur BBT as well as ur persona? i am asking cos u are questioning the faint line on the persona (as i got a faint line on my stik but not the big rise of temp that i am expecting, so i am taking that i havent ov yet).

so CD13 for me.tomorow CD14 and wondering if i am ov (which i should do if my calcul is correct)

cockenzie - I'm just using persona and tbh i won't really trust it until I get the big 'O' flashing at me but in the absence of that am trying to make sense of anything! It doesn't really matter as we decided to bd all through the month anyway but I'd hate to miss it just for a matter of a day or 2.

hey munnzieb - happy new year to you! Hope you had a good one. Your DH must be nearly home now - you must be very excited!! Do you know how long he's back for?

I never used to have a cycle because of pco but somehow since having my daughter they are 28-30 days all the time (v bizarre - well, it is for me!). So have only assumed that O was on day 13-15 but haven't been using an opk at all - this is the first month of trying so didn't want to get caught up in all that from day 1 so to speak.

I should probably wait until the day AF is due but that seems so far away - it's stupid, I know! I just want to know!! I know it's unlikely to happen the first month but it doesn't stop me from wishing it would!

Thanks, RD. Have realised that I'm going to be upset if AF does arrive. I did this for years - the waiting each month etc and have forgotten just how bad it can.

Greenbug - Hiya as well to u, Persona I think is fab, I tried all the OV test kits, and thought I was OV but could never be sure which day, besides which I wasn't sure i'd read it right. but persona it's excellent pin pints the day and all.

Tania - TWins i've always wanted twins - I know mad. Keep ur chin up thou hon, just think, ur sis may be PG now, but she'll be heavy PG in the summer - actually scrap that cos it's ur summer now isn't it? er, ok then, u can have the little bundle as a christmas surprise for next year, (look to the positives hon, at the mo that's all I can think of but i'm sure another one will pop along shortly) ooh it will give u more time to spilt DS.

Rudy - normally when I O the test line is very dark, and Persona does the O but the line gradually gets darker. Last check DH was home for 2 weeks, then back out for 2 months somewhere else, but then back for good - thank god, this whole army lark is really interin with my TTC plans!

DH won't come to the gyno with me either, something about if he sees another man go near my 'box' (his words there) he'll punch him, and it doesn't matter he's a dr and it's his job! bloomin men! lol.
