Thanks for suggesting that I start this thread - its a real honour. Won't be leaving it yet as am only on cd24, despite getting bfps from the 3 tests I have done today (paranoid or what?!).
Lots and lots of babydust to everyone. If this pg is successful, I will have conceived in the midst of an awful cold so that should give everyone some hope. Lots and lots of hugs.....

I am spending a fortune on tests! Did a Boots digital this morning (CD27) which was a BFP and then found another test in my drawer- a 'normal' Boots one which also came up with a BFP! Am feeling anxious as have tummy pain today....what do you think this might be?

MINNIE1 · 06/01/2005 13:04

sallie, i have pain like AF when i found out i was pg it could be that (now AF won't show) Relax and put your feet up hon..

cockenzie, I'm on the look out for one at the moment.. Are you using one ?

MINNIE1 · 06/01/2005 13:05

sorry i had,

hester · 06/01/2005 13:10

Welcome ellimum

Sallie, what sort of pain? I think all sorts of aches and twinges are pretty normal... unless it's very acute I wouldn't worry about it (impossible I know!).

munnzieb · 06/01/2005 13:26

hiya em, and wlecome, (glad all is ok tan.)

(I always assumed persona to be good as loads of women have got PG with them within the first few months of using them)

am back on the angus catus and starflower again, (don't know if it's a good idea thou cos I've felt really sick all morning!) lol. still, oooh and have noticed the past two cycles a pain when I OV (enought to take the breath away sort of thing, which i'm assumein is all good stuff, as I have that then persona flashes a O! lol.) any how must dash back to work.

Sallie · 06/01/2005 13:31

Just some mild cramping.
I used persona after having ds and whilst ttc no 2 (my dd). Then used it after dd ttc no 3 and so far its come up trumps!!! My cycle both times took quite a long time to settle after finishing bf (4.5 months and 5.5.months postpartum respectively). Persona told me I was ov around cd21/22 and it steadily got earlier in my cycle as my cycle has got shorter (from 35 days down to 28 days). Last cycle I ov on cd14 and got a bfp on cd25 . What I am trying to say (in a longwinded way) is that I think persona is great - esp for pinpointing your ov.

OP posts:
Fastasleep · 06/01/2005 13:49

Hey cockenzie, I don't use persona and probably won't whilst ttc this one... I just trust my cm and I get a slight pain for about 2 days and then I get incredibly horny on the last day! If only my af was so regular and obvious eh!

Sallie I had cramps and quite sharp stabbing pains for the first 3 months I was pregnant with Theo, never any bleeding or anything like that - not even for implantation... so it doesn't have to mean a thing, other than your bean's getting settled in my advice - stuff your face right now!!! Just in case the morning sickness fairy comes in the night!

Fastasleep · 06/01/2005 13:51

Hmm saying that about my O....I spend about a week wondering if I'm getting damper and whether I might be starting to O... it's like that 'am I pregnant? - I have the tiniest cramp, oh god!' thing except I do it twice a month lol!

MINNIE1 · 06/01/2005 13:58

I have found a persona geekgrrl (the little star) has one for me.. Now i can join the persona gang.. Hopeing this will help me have loads of babies...

Fastasleep · 06/01/2005 14:03

cockenzie · 06/01/2005 15:45

minnie where are you bying your persona from?

MINNIE1 · 06/01/2005 15:57

cockenzie,
A dear lady on MN offered me one after added a thread on the for sale page.. Did'nt think i would get one, if i didnt i was going to get one on ebay.. Its impossible not to let this TTC to take over, Good luck with your blood test's.. what CD are you on?

Fastasleep · 06/01/2005 16:07

Hey cockenzie, I still completely believe that breastfeeding screws everything up in that department! Without any signs of it being different in my case... I'm sure you'll conceive just fine ...

It's funny how you don't remember things after starting to breastfeed - I mean I still got damper at a certain time every month but I wasn't getting O pains, I didn't even remember that I used to get them until I got them the month I stopped breastfeeding! I was merrily having periods on time and they were just as heavy... but my eggs were hiding!

cockenzie · 06/01/2005 16:10

CD13.iam trying to stop bf for hormon sake but dd doesnt want to stop.she isnt exclusively bf but probably enof to mess my system up.i feel so guilty for saying that though

sparkly · 06/01/2005 16:27

I've done it. Ok, I've bought a clearblue test (well a twin pack actually! (on sale at Tescos for £7.95 - good or bad price?)). I shouldn't test till Monday though, should I? God, this is so frustrating - I just want to know. CD25 is too early to test but the desire is sooooo great. HELP!

Canadianmom · 06/01/2005 17:51

Oh Sparkly! I am excited for you! Everytime I have bought a twin pack I have not needed the second test. Hope you get that bfp!

Canadianmom · 06/01/2005 17:52

Sorry too quick to post! I am not sure about the price and my advice about timing of tests is crap because I always wait WAY too long for fear of a BFN and because the tests are too expensive to waste... someone with better advice should be along shortly!

jeddah · 06/01/2005 18:48

welcome ellimum! its great on here

cocenzie have you bought your persona yet???

Hester how many dpo are you?

I am cd27 and ov on cd19-20 so I am 7-8dpo and this time last month af arrived after ov same cd (small hope building!!!!)

Dare I mention testing!!!!!!!! think I will leave it 14dpo if af hasn't arrived that is!!!

greenbug · 06/01/2005 18:50

Sparkly, test now and if it's BFN then blame it on the timing (afterall it's too early yet as you are only CD25). Then make sure you hide the second one - give it to your dh or berry it in your clothes, and take it out in a weeks (eternity) time!
but if it's BFPOSITIVE, just imagine how sweet and beautiful that + would look!!!!

Best of luck!
