Thanks for suggesting that I start this thread - its a real honour. Won't be leaving it yet as am only on cd24, despite getting bfps from the 3 tests I have done today (paranoid or what?!).
Lots and lots of babydust to everyone. If this pg is successful, I will have conceived in the midst of an awful cold so that should give everyone some hope. Lots and lots of hugs.....

mummygow · 31/01/2005 20:55

Twiga that is fab - congratulations. CD12 today so trying to get as much BD in as possible over the next few days and that is going to be hard as dh on nightshift. I am really sad but I am so excited about this time of the month and ttc because as I said before I just went for the pot luck method with dd, but I feel that because we are doing at the right time that it will happen very soon, ohhh see I am being daft, talk sense into me, calm me down

Hulababy · 31/01/2005 21:01

Great news about the scan Twiga

jessicasmummy · 31/01/2005 21:01

so if im cd15 - is there a possibilty im already pg????

mummygow · 31/01/2005 21:23

Jessicamum one of the other mums on this thread told me about the bounty web page to work out my OV day - so I just wanted to say if you started AF on 17th Jan and you have a cycle of approx 30 days then your OV day is today and and it says that home pregnancy tests will usually work on the 14th Feb for this cycle but you should have a wee look at this web page too - www.bounty.com -

jessicasmummy · 31/01/2005 21:26

thats great thanks MG - just how typical that dh is working all night!!!! Ill just have to pounce on him tomorrow night when he gets home.

munnzieb · 31/01/2005 21:59

baby cnetre

velcrorobot, if you bd 2 days b4 ov,t hen you can still have good chance of getting pg - spermies can live up to 5 days, or even longer. I think they say more likely to be boy, cos male spermies are slower but live longer, but girl spermies are faster but die quicker. Or is it the other way round???

jessicasmummy, I'm confused what's going on with you - I thought you said you thought you were pg from last cycle & only had v light bleed & waiting till end of this cycle to test, is that right?

I hope I ind out 1 way or t'other soon. I still don't know for sure, so having to bd like usual anyway, just in case I'm not. Feel so bloody tired I can't be bothered. The things we do, eh.

Oh and by the way, pinch punch 1st of the month.

And no returns.

I just read this on the baby centre site. Just imagine...

While identical twins happen by chance and occur at the same rate throughout the world, there are several factors that influence your chances of having fraternal twins:

  • Heredity: If twins run in your family, you're more likely to have a set yourself. Your partner's family history doesn't appear to affect your odds of having twins.

  • Age: The older you are, the higher your chances of having fraternal twins or higher multiples. Some studies indicate that this may be due to the fact that older women tend to produce higher levels of ovulation-stimulating hormones, but other studies do not support the connection.

  • Race: Twins are more common than average in African Americans and less common in Hispanics and Asians.

  • Nutrition: Being well nourished increases your chances of having twins and being mal-nourished decreases your chances.

  • Number of pregnancies: The more pregnancies you've had, the greater your chances of having twins. In fact, by your fourth or fifth pregnancy, your likelihood of having twins is four times higher than it was for your first pregnancy.

  • History of twins: Once you have a set of fraternal twins, you're twice as likely to have another set in future pregnancies.

morning people... i dont know hat is wrong today, but ive had tummy cramps all night and i really dont feel well.....

pipsy1 · 01/02/2005 07:37

Definitely think you should do a test JM. I can't believe you have held off until know. Thik how it would cheer you up if you were pregnant, and if not, you are in perfect cycle time to have another go!

jessicasmummy · 01/02/2005 07:38

i am consideing it - i havent done my "morning" wee yet, so maybe!!!! i will let you know.....

pipsy1 · 01/02/2005 07:45

My god, I have to go immediately I am up! Sometimes thats what wakes me up. More likely to be DD though!
My AF seemed to start on Saturday then never really materialised, so maybe in same boat here??

cockenzie · 01/02/2005 08:33

Huntermunker - so you dont think b/f at nightwill hinder your chances of getting pg?

cockenzie · 01/02/2005 08:34

CD4 here .i should come off on wednesday and start some work

jessicasmummy · 01/02/2005 08:45

nope - neg result.... why do i feel so pg then????

munnzieb · 01/02/2005 08:51

Mornin girls,

cockenzie - Dh was home for in all 13 days, thou I'm a bit worried cos he's not rung since the crash happened, (well since he was on guard on sun so i'm a bit worried, but i've not heard anything, no news has to be good news) I'm a pisces, and DH is a scorpio, (so I dampen the string out of his tail, and he keeps my feet firmly on the ground!

JM - Have you tested yet?? I'm with pip on that, as soon as i'm up I have to go!

Well Persona is showing a nice big 'O' again! yay!, not felt any crampin but tbh i'm too busy worried about DH and working, (and it normally happens on the second day, thou last night the last thing I thought was 'I'm PG' Highly unlikely but still I'll cling to my straws of hope for now! hmmm! lol,

munnzieb · 01/02/2005 09:00

(((hugs)))) jm, ah hon, all I can say is mother nature has a sick sence of humour!

jessicasmummy · 01/02/2005 09:03

oh well... more bd-ing to come.... dh is home tonight (at the moment anyway) and he has promised to make things up to me! dont think the test worked properly tho - its supposed to be a cross in one window and a line in the other if you are pg. well the line is fine but the other one just doesnt look right, not a proper line if u know what i mean.... of well. ill leave it a few weeks and try again.

go test M - you know you want to!!!

ernest · 01/02/2005 09:15

so jm where are you cycle wise?

jessicasmummy · 01/02/2005 09:26

cd16

cockenzie · 01/02/2005 10:41

munnzieb - they say scorpio men are hot!!?? women too as it goes

munnzieb · 01/02/2005 11:06

well I don't know about him being hot! lol, he's er... stubborn, caring and v protective, ( I don't know if they are the charectistic of scorpio men?) he's also v down to earht which is excellent, I couldn't be married to someone who wasn't. Scorpio women - my MIL is one, and she's as stubborn as old boots! (both of them have a sting in their tails! lol)

cockenzie · 01/02/2005 11:11

yes all the scorpios iknow myself are stubborn, where aquarians are flexible, hard working, sensitive and very withdrawn, they keep everything inside and dont let it in the open which isnt always a good thing.anyone recognizes herself? and i forgot very determined/stubborn

pipsy1 · 01/02/2005 11:33

Very typical Scorpio female here I'm afraid! Its so weird isn't it,how true the star signs are. I used to think it was a load of mumbo jumbo but my DH told me about each trait and I am definitely Scorpio through and through.
Sorry to ehar about test JM, I really thought you were going to be a yes. If you are not sure about it though try again with a different make perhaps?
