Thanks for suggesting that I start this thread - its a real honour. Won't be leaving it yet as am only on cd24, despite getting bfps from the 3 tests I have done today (paranoid or what?!).
Lots and lots of babydust to everyone. If this pg is successful, I will have conceived in the midst of an awful cold so that should give everyone some hope. Lots and lots of hugs.....

Twins would be fun - but not sure I'd cope. Am hoping like Jessicasmum for the angel next time! Opposite here though, got a girl and praying for another next time!

ernest · 31/01/2005 08:20

I was hoping for twins last time so I wouldn't have to go through this again, sod's law it'll be twins this time. That's be a shock for dh.

I'm still in never never land (not with MJ I should add).

SO, when was it I did the test that was neg but later pos? Can't remember, last week. Anyway, I'm now cdd 12 but still not 100% clear about last cycle. Just wish I knew 1 way or t'other. I did a 2nd test (can only get these ones that I don't really feel confident in, not 'big' make like 1st response or a boots or anything) anyway, 1 minute feel convinced am pg, but do not have definite, clear hpt. In fact last one I did (yesterday, was so unclear ie neg but maybe v. feint line if held right to left, not left to right lol).

But I feel - increasingly exhausted. very verey tired.
very thirsty (as did in prev pg)
a bit constipated (sorry) even tho drinking loads
breasts hurt a bit
if squeeze nipple get droplets of milk (sorry)
did I mention exhausted?
waking up in the night to wee

all this sounds familiar, but no bfp. It's really getting me down. Made doc appt but not till week on Thurs. Is it really possible to have all these symptoms & not be pg ///be 12 days into next cycle, & be pg but not get positive reading? I'm very confused & fed up.

jessicasmummy · 31/01/2005 08:23

with my pregnancy with jessica i took 4 pg tests... the first 3 all had severe faint lines and werent top brand tests... the last one a few days later proved a definate line.

ernest · 31/01/2005 08:39

but I don't understand why it wouldn't be a stonking great dark pos line by now - had had my very light af nearly 2 weeks ago now. Logic says if I was pg I'd have a bfp, but can't explain the symptoms & the thirst, tiredness & milk are definitely not flights of fancy.

jessicasmummy · 31/01/2005 08:41

really dont know love - i feel exactly the same and im cd15 today. I had a very light af 2 weeks ago - litteraly 1 proper day of bleeding and that was it.... im not sure if i am or not?! I refuse to test until next af due....

munnzieb · 31/01/2005 08:50

well apparently it can take up to 8 weeks for it to show as a BFP so if you can hold out a bit longer? is there any chance if you take a morning sample ur Dr will test for you at your apt?

I'm hopeful for twins (my dad is a b/b twin, my maternal uncles are b/b twins and two cousins are g/g twins, so hopefully cos they say it misses a generation! )

Well today is CD12 and I have a nice big 'O' on my persona! shame DH has since gone back bloomin army! lol.

I do have a question thou, (was thinking about it this morning in the car) - they say if the woman has the ahem O during BD roughly the same time as the man it helps as the spearms are pulled into the cervix, my Q is a) is this right and b) whispers I do, but normally a long time b4 DH - do u think this would be a prob? (sorry if ur eatin ur brekkie or it's tmi! lol)

ooh and what do we think of the MJ and never land case, I recon he did it!

Hulababy · 31/01/2005 08:56

I have heard something similar munnzieb; no idea if it works thoug.

CD4 for me so nothing to report! Have at least another 10 or more days before OV time.

Anyone got any exciting plans this week?

jessicasmummy · 31/01/2005 08:59

no plans here. DH working all week. Hope to go visit dad for the weekend but depends on DH work... bloody army indeed!

just waiting for tesco's to deliver the shopping then the whole joy of putting it all away. Jess currently in her cot trying to go to sleep but fighting it.... let em scream i say!

didnt know about your little theory M - not sure.

MJ case - GUILTY as charged!

sparkly · 31/01/2005 09:04

Off to Barcelona on Saturday for 4 days! But, have to get through what is already shaping up to be an awful week at work (and it's only just after 9am) ... need a break so looking forward to that. DD starts half term on Friday and is spending next week at her dad's so it's just DP and I.

jessicasmummy · 31/01/2005 09:09

i hope you enjoy it sparkler - i so wish i could get away. If i go to dads for the weekend i may get him to babysit one night so me and dh can go and have a drink, but hey, we shall see! I will of course still be attached to MN over the weekend!

ernest · 31/01/2005 09:11

we've got school holidays this week, so desperately trying to come up with exciting plans to a. stop kids killing each other
b. try to stop my head exploding

not doing so well so far.

fwiw, I don't reckon we'll see a successful prosecution. Look at OJ Simpson. If celebs can get away with that..... otoh, I hope I'm wrong.

Hulababy · 31/01/2005 09:14

Sounds lovely Sparkly. Have a fab time.

I have no plans for most of week until Friday - going to a ball Friday night which will be great

Half term for me isn't until Mon 14th Feb - day we may well be moving - fingers crossed.

jessicasmummy · 31/01/2005 09:14

i know MJ is guilty, but he wont get caught - too big a personality. As far as im concerned they should lock him up and throw away the key. He should never be allowed enar children again, and definately not his own!

ernest · 31/01/2005 09:16

missed your message. thanks for that jm how do you have such will power? when you next due? Is that right, munzieb - 8 weeks!

Re o have heard that too, but otoh, I think the stress of trying to coodinate would outweigh the benefits iyswim. Go with the flow I say

munnzieb · 31/01/2005 09:21

no major plans here, (starting my swimming again tonight, I really need to loose weight!) Tesco.com are coming tonight. (did u see the code JM if you spend £75.00?) This week I have weds off to wait in for the gas man, and the hotpoint man, (as my Dishwasher/ boiler are knackered!) so apart form that i'm doing zilch, nada! lol. - I'm havin the week off all DIY until next week, then it's another coat on teh bathroom, (and clean that up) then sort out the skirting in the kitchen and give that a paint. (hopefully i'll get a date for my new carpets as well)!

Hope Tania/Ratnus are getting on OK. How long was R in OZ for?

munnzieb · 31/01/2005 09:26

So I hear Ern, or at least this is what my friends dr told her, he also said that the OPK are normally a couple of days out (thou I don't know if that's right), u guy's a moving fast again! lol,

I have to get to work now, so will pop back in later on.
MB.

jessicasmummy · 31/01/2005 09:38

I have no willpower.... after jess screaming for 20 minutes i have now got her up - why do they do that? U give them a bottle, they fall asleep in your arms, they wake up as you lay them down and then continue to scream. Once you get them up they are playing happily on the floor while you are too engrossed in MN to care what they are doing anyway!!!

ernest · 31/01/2005 10:14

I'm about to treat my boys to a trip to ikea......

jessicasmummy · 31/01/2005 10:15

I WANT TO COME! My nearest ikea is an hour and a bit away and i cant do it on my own - id spend too much money! Have fun!!!!

jessicasmummy · 31/01/2005 10:15

pipsy1 · 31/01/2005 11:06

I've got to do an Ikea trip too. hoping DD will enjoy it otherwise it'll be grim. Unless I leave her with grandma maybe? But as u say JM, always spend far more than necessary. thats why have been putting it off for ages. Could do with a treat though, feeling tired and low

jessicasmummy · 31/01/2005 12:35

im depressed.... someone cheer me up! i want to know if im pg or not, but cant test yet - too early. feeling like i want to curl up and sleep but dd is driving me mad!

munnzieb · 31/01/2005 13:51

Do u believe it, DH's wages r right, i'm off shopping for a new microwave, kettle and toaster (hopefully I won't blow this lot up!) lol.
