Thanks for suggesting that I start this thread - its a real honour. Won't be leaving it yet as am only on cd24, despite getting bfps from the 3 tests I have done today (paranoid or what?!).
Lots and lots of babydust to everyone. If this pg is successful, I will have conceived in the midst of an awful cold so that should give everyone some hope. Lots and lots of hugs.....

cd18 - been working very hard this week
I would love to go to Ikea but I can't go with my dh as he always has a tantrum (he doesn't like putting the drawers together and he gets shirty about me buying tat) and I can't go with my best mate as we always end up with more stuff than will fit in the car (mostly tat).

When we all get pg who wants twins? Or is it bad luck to talk about it?

cockenzie · 31/01/2005 14:20

Iwill have the twins!!! hehehe anything.twins will actually save me a pregnancy as i am aiming for 3 babies. mayb 4?

cockenzie · 31/01/2005 14:21

munnzieb hon.how long is dh staying with you?

Hulababy · 31/01/2005 14:22

cockensie - yes I am Why? How????

cockenzie · 31/01/2005 14:30

I am an aquarian too!! and we are the best hon!!

ernest · 31/01/2005 14:31

back from ikea. boys love the play bit. ds3 comes round with me, so not at all stressful. worst bit is finding parking space. Only tut I got was play bed for ds's monkey. He will be thrilled, about to let him build it, I'll be supervisor, dh will not be so impressed. not masculine

HunkerMunker · 31/01/2005 14:34

DH is an Aquarian

I love Ikea - think the reason you spend far too much is because there are so many 'bargains'. But then you buy ten things that cost a fiver each...plus what you went in for in the first place...!

On CD 20 - no idea how long my cycle is though as breastfeeding 9mo DS is messing with it (well, PCOS messed with it before that!).

As for twins...not sure I'd put my hand up for them if there was a choice, but am sure I'd love it if I did have them!

cockenzie · 31/01/2005 14:38

huntermunker, whats your star sign?
do you also b/feed at night?

Hulababy · 31/01/2005 14:40

I see. So is it your birthday soon then? Mine's on the 12th. We are hoping to move house on the 14th though so may well spend it packing!

cockenzie · 31/01/2005 14:41

mine on the 15th, dp on the 8th and dd on the 6th

cockenzie · 31/01/2005 14:42

its the aquarian household here!!! hahahahehehe

Hulababy · 31/01/2005 14:43

Wow! That's a lot of birthdays close together.

cockenzie · 31/01/2005 14:48

yep.but for ours mayb we will get married by the end of the year.sometime to save up and that wil be our birthday pressie.

HunkerMunker · 31/01/2005 14:50

I'm a Cancerian. I bfeed at night if DS wakes up and won't go back to sleep with a drink of water and a dab of teething gel. DH can do those, you see

Twiga · 31/01/2005 15:59

Just wanted to say Hi! +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++*++++++++++++++

I had my scan today (am 9+5) and all is well, strong wee heart beat and baby was madly waving arms and legs at us - such a relief to see my wee prawn on the screen and doing well.

ernest · 31/01/2005 16:15

that's really fab Twiga. Nothing quite like seeing baba on a scan. Did you get a pic? I remember spending endless hours staring lovingly & disbelievingly at a black & white blob lol.

Twiga · 31/01/2005 16:20

Yup, got four pictures and will probably have bored my friends ridged with my "that's the head, that's the legs" chat by the end of evening - am just so chuffed, was amazing to see!

ernest · 31/01/2005 16:24

doesn't matter. It's one of the most wonderful things in the world - but holding that little one is that x million!

(btw is this your 1st,2nd,3rd.....?)

for me, the feelings of excitement, love, pride etc do not deminish no matter how many you've got. Saying that if I was into double figures it might just fade a bit lol

Twiga · 31/01/2005 16:26

This will be my first, although is my second pg - mc the first at just over 6 weeks back in July, so today was extra special for us!

jessicasmummy · 31/01/2005 16:28

i still feel really down - anyone got something to make me smile?

HunkerMunker · 31/01/2005 16:28

Congrats on the pg Twiga - scan pics are amazing things aren't they? I scanned mine into the PC and had them printed as digital photographs - they look fantastic and won't degrade like the scan photos do.

Twiga · 31/01/2005 16:33

Thanks Hunkermunker, was thinking about doing that as they're just on paper and look likely to fade over time.

Thanks for letting me crash this thread with my news, it's just that there are lots of fab people on here who have supported me along the way, so thought I should up-date, lol x

HunkerMunker · 31/01/2005 17:01

One thing you mustn't do is laminate them - they're on heat-sensitive paper and laminating them will turn them black.

Twiga · 31/01/2005 17:15

Thanks for the heads up Hunkermunker!

velcrobott · 31/01/2005 17:22

Sorry - not posting often though I read the thread on and off - it's hard to keep up with you guys!!! As my situation has been a bit weird I don't post too often otherwise I'll become obsessed with all that TTC stuff !

CD24 here.... of 1st cycle in donkey's years... I think we BD too early, 2 days before I had OV pains and I was too tired to BD that evening ... curious to see if I will have AF or not.... would be amazed if pregnant.
