Maybe a nice shiny new thread will get us all enthusiastic again. I am on my rubbish diet so I only have nuts and beans to put out on the table. Oh and gin of course ;o) Anyone got any cakes to tempt me with?

Ding ding....let's...go

Do you think I have gone a bit mad

PnM I'm so sorry AF arrived.

GG you must be so proud of your DH. Mine gave up drinking for a few months last year and said he reckoned that once he'd done it some of his friends felt more able to say no to another boozy night - it started a kind of domino effect.

MOB I think that's a coping strategy we've all used before! Fingers xd this is a lucky cycle for you.

JB hope you feeling slightly better. Abbey glad the scan went well .

Bucky am dying to know what this magic potion is!

Not much news from me. Am trying to eat fruit rather than shed loads of carbs - another banana isn't quite as tempting as a croissant at the moment! Looking forward and in denial about finding out how many babies there are in there this time around - maybe I am eating for three again? .

QueenyEisGotTheBall · 20/05/2008 22:45

hi ladies
PnM so sorry AF arrived for you fingers crossed that this cycle is your cycle (and mine too)
hope everyone else is ok im CD10 already and i am pretty sure im either oving or nearly oving due to the copious amounts of EWCM that has all of a sudden appeared so if i ov tomorrow or so then i will only have 10 days til i am due cos i discovered my LP is 10 days il have to see whether it changes this cycle if i am not lucky that is
hi to everyone
mibbes glad your scan went well

hattyyellow · 21/05/2008 11:12

ei have you had any more psychic dreams? Forgot to ask if you'd predicted any of us December BFP's?

Looking forward to hearing more happy predictions and don't forget one for you!

GryffinGirl · 21/05/2008 13:40

ooooh yes, Ei have you seen me in any of your dreams looking PG and blooming .

CD27 for me and I'm getting very mild, yet very ominous twinges DOWN THERE. Methinks it is TEW on her way to ruin another month . Looks like I will be out this month (said for the 1,000,000 time)

If AF does arrive that means I have to go for the HSG at the hospital. So the added incentive for me to get a BFP was so I didn't have to go and get my tubes hosed out with radioactive dye at the hospital

How is everyone els eon thsi very quiet thread?

PicknMix · 21/05/2008 13:52

I'm here lurking, a little red faced from being a hormonal mess the other day , apologies everyone but thank you muchly for your kind messages.

Feeling a little better about things (not completely but a little). Trouble is, I've hit the milestone that is 12 months ttc and that feels wrong. Wrong and difficult to face - I am so with you Bucky on the whole test phobia thing. I think my problem is that I'm not sure I really want to know which one of us (DH or myself) is the problem or if its plain bad luck. Im a bit of a 'see what happens' type of person.....

But then again, as my colleague said the other day - if it was a case of a bunch of chemicals and tests etc stood between her and her baby then she would just go for the tests and the chemicals any day. Am I making any sense whatsoever?!!!

Am trying to find a new dress for a friends wedding - have fallen in love with one on Joules website but tis over my price range - anyone know of any pretty dresses on the high street at the mo???!

Sorry - am working by myself so am very rambly. Will go and read everyone elses post properly.....

PicknMix · 21/05/2008 14:05

Mob sorry to hear about your difficult weekend - its really hard to cope in that sort of situation. My DH had to leave a family meal the other day (I wasn't there) because it was the day my af arrived and he couldn't cope with all the nieces and nephews running around . I think he used the bottle of wine coping strategy as well!!

I really hope it isn't af arriving GG - I've never had me tubes messed about with but I'm guessing its not particularly pleasant (obviously I hope its not af cos then it would mean a bfp, not just so you don't have to have the HSG ).

Bucky have you phoned for an appt yet? As I said before - I think I know where you are coming from but I do hope you can manage to overcome your phobia soon so you can get some answers.

Hi EI - tis deffo our month this month isn't it!? Crossing fingers that this month is, at the very least, a bit more normal for you and settles down after the cp. How are you feeling about it all?

Hatty when do you find out how many beans are in there?!!? Do you have a scan booked yet?

Apologies to all those I have missed - I hope you're all doing ok x

Bucky2008 · 21/05/2008 14:43

Hey PnM, yes I did book the appointment but the earliest is 12 June so it'll be a while yet.

Sore (.)(.)s here so ov obviously has passed. I have to guess when AF will be though I know she turned up on the 2/5 so I must be CD20 today. So between 4 and 9 days to go I would guess. I am off work today in pain and the doctor would not give me drugs until AF turns up, so after enduring all this pain she better stay away or else .

Am a bit today, I really am in pain and guy that I work with said 'You didn't seem that ill yesterday', when I rang up to discuss work.... and I rang up whilst I am ill!!! I shouldn't have bothered.

OP posts:
GryffinGirl · 21/05/2008 16:01

helloooooo everyone.

Bucky - what is wrong m'dear? Poor you and get well soon. I still have sore (.)(.) too, but they disappear when AF eventually arrives. Put your feet up and get well soon

Picknmix - I'm so glad you are ok and please rant away here. I had a mini-meltdown last month and felt very , but we shouldn't. We are on the thread to have a good old laugh or a rant with other TTC-ers and the success stories. 12 months is a milestone. It was for me too and I couldn't believe it when the calendar ticked round. Don't worry about getting yourself and yoru DH checked out. I think tis better to know than to wonder, even thought the news was not great for my DH and me.

hatty - there is a lady called "tripletsandtwins" on MN. Do you think you could have more than one little bean again . Hope you are feeling well. Do the carbs keep calling you

jolly - are you feeling any better at all, m'dear. We are thinking of you and know you are feeling too poorly to post, but really hope that the drugs are working and you are no longer so sick. ((((((((((((((((hugs)))))))))))))))))))))

abbymeg - all wll with oyu?

big hello to MOB, mibbes ei and anyone else missed. scaryhairy are you checking in from sun drenched Mauritius ? i am VERY of you.

hattyyellow · 23/05/2008 16:40

Bucky and PnM good luck with your doctors appointments/if you do decide to go for doctors appointments.

I went to see my doctor when I got to about 9 months of trying unsuccessfully. I really didn't hugely want to go either - I'd convinced myself all sorts of things were wrong.

I found it very helpful just feeling that "something was being done" about the frustration and heartache of not conceiving. It was a real weight off my shoulders and although I laughed sarcastically when the doctor said his last two female patients he'd referred to the fertility clinic had got pregnant that cycle - it turned out that I was to be the third.

I think that obviously the clinics can reveal upsetting and worrying things - but they can also clarify that everything is okay.

And maybe give you a sense of "control" - even though being referred for fertility treatment obviously doesn't let you control your own fertility or guarantee a baby, I certainly felt that I was doing something about it all.

Sorry long and rambling rant which may well not make sense!

Hope everyone is well

GG no triplets and twins jokes please! Seeing my midwife next week to get booked in and then I can finally get a blooming scan date and find out how many babies there are once and for all!

Bucky2008 · 23/05/2008 22:14

Hey Hatty good to hear from you.

Where is everyone these days the thread is dead!! I am as guilty as everyone else, I am just getting caught up with life at the moment. I am the busiest I have been at work for the last couple of years and the Molly Dog getting up at 5am every day I am falling asleep by 9pm usually, so just don't get a chance to log on. Hope you are all ok and have exciting plans for the weekend.

I am CD22 I think so just a few days to go....if eating everything in sight is a symptom my luck may be in this month . More likely though I am just a piglet!

Laters xx

GryffinGirl · 24/05/2008 21:08

hello everyone.

It is quieet round here but thought I would look in and say hello to the reular posters and wave at you all.

i was away for a few days visiting my best friend (and her 7 month old son, who is utterly gorgeous!). I am now feeling pretty low . We had a fabulous time - I miss her because she lives hundreds of miles away. But now I am home again and AF turned up just as I got to her house. Cuddling her little one as she got the dinner ready, feeling the craping and knowing that AF was beginning yet again and trying to stay composed was too hard. I got upset I had to tell her and she was wonderful . First person who knows in RL, so i feel like I have taken a step IYKWIM.

I sent a text to DH that night telling him AF had started and how I felt and how wonderful BF was. He didn't text back and still hasn't mentioned it . i think we are getting to the "next stage" in this failure to conceieve lark.

sorry for the me me me post and hello to Bucky Picknmix* scary (if you are about again ) ei hatty jolly abby and mibbes especially. You are all officially lovely.

QueenyEisGotTheBall · 25/05/2008 02:22

PnM this month will be OUR month!!!!

xx ei xx

Madoldbird · 25/05/2008 07:16

Good morning ladies

Another one who has to apologise for not being around for a few days! Likewise, have been inundated with work, and have had something on in the evenings. Hope you are all ok. We mustn't let this thread die out - i need you all!

PnM hope you are feeling a little brighter now. It must be so difficult to reach that 12 month point. On another note, have you found a dress yet? I am not good at shopping - it scares me - but there seems to be lots of pretty dresses everywhere at the moment. If there is a picture on line, you must show us when you find one.

Bucky Am doing my secret chant to keep AF away from you in the next few days! Sorry to hear you have been so busy - i hope you get to relax over the long weekend. With Molly waking you up so early every morning, a baby is going to be a breeze!

GG What a hard time you've had, being with your friend's baby, and AF arriving at the same time. Life is cruel, sometimes. I am glad you were able to tell her. I know we all keep saying this to you - but you WILL get your baby - I'm sure once all the tests are done the doctors will do everything they can to make your dream come true.

hatty how are the triplets (sorry, i shouldn't joke about it) Hope you are well. When is your scan?

EI hope your relaxed approach does the trick for you this month! You sound busy too - have you got the BH weekend off?

JB hope you are feeling a bit better now.

Hello to everyone else i haven't mentioned.

I think i have ov'd this month. I am CD19, and i think it was CD17, and need one more day for FF to confirm it. Bit of a difficult time of it this week - i think the stress & pressure of TTC really got to DH, and he found it really difficult to "perform". Understandable, of course, but frustrating for both of us. We managed on CD17, though, so i'm hoping and praying that i did ov then! We are going away tomorrow for a few days, so i won't be around, although i may sneakily check on my mobile for any news!

As i said before, we mustn't let the thread die out - although we are all so busy and it's hard sometimes. I do really need you all though - it helps so much to have people out there who know what it feels like. Love to you all. X

ScaryHairy · 25/05/2008 15:09

Hi everybody

We're back from Mauritius now with a tan and a wee bit of jet lag. DD had a great time and has spent the last 2 weeks eating nothing but ice cream!

Belated congratulations to Tink

Sorry AF got you, PnM, and that you'v reached that 12 month milestone. I agree with Hatty - a visit to the GP might just put your mind at rest. When I got checked out, before I conceived my DD, they only got as far as taking blood and then I found out I was pg the next week. Taking that step can help relieve the stress and move things along IMO.

GG congratulations on your pristine innards. The good thing is that it sounds like the only problem rests with your DH. As I understand it, it's a lot easier to fix a problem when it rests with one partner than when it lies with both. Fingers crossed they can sort it soon and you will get your BFP before too much longer.

What's the secret potion Bucky? Send some over here, there's a dear.

Good luck with the scan, Hatty, and I am glad yours went well Mibbes.
I have my fingers crossed for you MOB.
Being so relaxed will definitely do the trick, Ei

It is nice to be back from holiday, although why is it so cold??! No ttc news from me of course, although when I was sick 4 days in a row last week I did start wondering if we had slipped up and broken the no ttc for 3 months rule! I actually think it was something I ate though... The enforced break from ttc is a good thing, I think, as sex for the heck of it is very much nicer than for ttc purposes. Although I am getting bored of waiting and so may well give up on the wait from the next time I ovulate. Am sure the doctors will tell me off but what the heck!

Hope you're all enjoying the long weekend.

ScaryHairy · 26/05/2008 20:06

Where is everybody???

GryffinGirl · 27/05/2008 13:58

I'm around! yes, where is everybody. We can't let the thread die a death, it's too much fun round here, even if i wil be the last one left one day

Welcome back scary and how lovely your holiday sounds. DH and I are talking about booking somehwre at the end of August to give us somehting to look forward too and a tropical island is top of the list. I'm slightly reluctant in case our "slot" comes up for IVF or somehting, but I don't have a crystal ball, so i think we should book it soon.

hello MOB* - sorry I forgot to say hello to you and sorry to hear that your DH is feeling stressed about TTC. I know my Dh is too, and it's very difficult to reassure them, when knowing all the while that it hinges on them performing too. Stage fright is the last thing you need, but there is such pressure. Thinking of you

hello to everyone else

ScaryHairy · 27/05/2008 19:37

It's just you and me then GG. This thread cannot die... I'm going to need you all badly again in 6 weeks or so!DG are you about at all? How is the bean? Bucky Am I right in thinking it is your birthday around now? Happy birthday if it is. How is the potion going?Hello to MOB, Beanie, Mibbes, ei, PicknMix and anyone I have accidently forgotten. I hope you are all shanging out somewhere nice this evening!

ScaryHairy · 27/05/2008 19:39

Arg! it looks like my formatting has gone strange again. Apologies to anyone who has gone cross-eyed reading my last post.

SparklyPiliPala · 27/05/2008 19:58

Hi all,
Mind if I join? I know lots of you already.
Am 7dpo and need to 'hold hands' for the next 7 days. Doc wanted me to book in for 21 day bloods which were messed up 2 months ago but clinic is fully booked this week so I'll have to wait until next month...
Bucky and Ei Was wondering where you were both hiding.

Bucky2008 · 27/05/2008 21:30

Hello ello ello.

Welcome back Scaryhairy and thank you for remembering my birthday . It is tomorrow, another year flashed by .

I am going to try and make an effort so that the thread does not die. I miss everyone . Hey GG what are you doing for your birthday? Geminis of the world unite .

I would like to know why no matter how many months have gone by....(nearly 20 in my case ), you can still manage to think you are pg each month. Why is that?? So, obviously at CD26 I think I am going to get a BFP. (.)(.)s are massive, they are making my stomach look flat they are sticking out so much! Maybe my secret potion worked . Don't know when I should test. I think I ov around CD16 but I wasn't paying that much attention as I was really busy at work.

DP is working away again, so I am dogsitting. They are so high maintenance! By the time I have fed them and walked them a million miles to wear them out its bleedin' 9pm!

Anyway, hope you are all ok. PicknMix how you doing? Feeling a bit better?

Adios Chicas...xx

OP posts:
ScaryHairy · 27/05/2008 21:40

Hi Bucky. Tell me what your secret potion is. Oh pleeeze. I am dying to know. Have a great day tomorrow and tell those dogs to behave themselves.

Welcome to Sparklypilipala. It's nice to "meet" you. The thread is pretty quiet at the moment, but there is usually some obsessive symptom spotting to join in with! So what are your symptoms? Go on, spill.

SparklyPiliPala · 27/05/2008 22:02

Bucky I want to know the potion too
Scary I actually don't have any symptoms yet but i'm sure they will all appear over the next few days.

ScaryHairy · 27/05/2008 22:06

Come now SPP, you must have some. Maybe you are just not trying hard enough...

In the past zillion cycles my symptoms have included headaches, no headaches, veiny boobs, tiredness, lots of energy, clumsiness, snappishness, eating lots, not eating much, having nightmares, hiccups, wind and any combination of the above.

I'm sure one of them meant something; I'm just not sure what!

SparklyPiliPala · 27/05/2008 22:10

LOL! I've had all those too. My wrist aches a bit but I think that's from too much typing...
OR.... it could be because I'm pg?
I'm temping and my temp dropped a bit today. Nothing too unusual though - not as unusual as the first 10 days of this cycle when my temp didn't drop below the coverline. Are you temping?

PicknMix · 27/05/2008 22:14

I'm here too!!

Hello ladies - I apologise in advance for any typos, am using DH's swanky new laptop and keep hitting buttons that do weird things....!

Also BIG apologies for the lack of posts recently - have been a little poorly and also very busy at work (hope things have calmed down a little bit for you now Bucky?).

As if I would ever let this thread die - I too need you all far too much!

So lovely to have you back SH - am truely about your holiday, it sounds like your DD had a fab time !

Hatty thank you (and you SH) for your advice re going to the Dr's - IKWYM about feeling 'in control', I just need to pluck up the courage from somewhere to make that appt now!

Hello and a big welcome to Sparkly! Thats a bugger about the 21day test - hope you can get it booked for next month.

MOB my DH feels the pressure sometimes too - I kind of forget that they're going through it all as well as us. Hope you had/are having a fab time away?

EI such a late night post from you! Hope you're ok and not working too hard?? Also really hope the relaxed (and lots of sex ) approach works for you this month.

GG Sounds like you had a very difficult time away at your BF's but glad to hear good has come out of the situation and you've taken a step forward by telling someone in RL. I hope she can be a great RL support for you. I really feel for you and your situation at the mo - when do you get your tests results back?

Bucky are you doing something fab for your birthday??! Has Molly dog learnt the art of peeing outside yet ? Have my fingers firmly crossed for you and your magic secret potion this month. I guess you should wait til CD30 to test so you're 14dpo as your LP is 12 isn't it? (Stalker alert!! )

Hope JB, Mibbes and Abby you're all doing ok?

Right I'm off now as am half way through epilating my legs (ouch!) needed a break between legs (so to speak!) and have written far too much to fit in an update on me!!! xx
