Maybe a nice shiny new thread will get us all enthusiastic again. I am on my rubbish diet so I only have nuts and beans to put out on the table. Oh and gin of course ;o) Anyone got any cakes to tempt me with?

Ding ding....let's...go

Do you think I have gone a bit mad

mibbes OMG hasnt the scan come up so quickly!! good luck for tomorrow and do pop on and let us know how you get on all will be fine
hi to everyone else
xx ei xx

GryffinGirl · 15/05/2008 18:01

hello ladies . Gosh it is quiet round here hatty has scared everyone off

I had my THIRD ultrsound of the month this afternoon and I am pleased to report that according to the experts, I have a "lovely thick, pristine" womb lining . Now there's a nice compliment for a girl! Next stop HSG in two weeks and then (presumably) back for our results. It has happened at quite a gallop!

CD21 for me today, so AF due next Thurs. DH and are have to go without BD-ing next month until the HSG is out of the way. He told me this afternoon that has put the BD-abstinence dates in his diary so he knows when he has to "go without" !! I hope he hasn't put it on Windows! But he's obviously not thinking creatively enough if he thinks he'll have to be totally deprived

Good luck with your scan tomorrow mibbes. Pop in to the 2WW and let us know how it went.

Has anyone seen abbymeg around? I thought she was due a scan around this time and she hasn't been on here for ages. Abby, if you are about, we're all here and thinking of you.

Bucky are you coming back again??

Beanie - no, I am so sorry AF got you

Ei - glad to hear you are on sparkly form again. Lots of bd-ing ahead for you

07mumstheword · 16/05/2008 08:57

As it's so quiet thought I'd pop in to say hi

I watch this thread all the time but don't want to (for want of a better phrase) rub anyone's nose in it. I'm constantly wishing you well and sending good vibes for you.

GG Your tests seem to be really moving things forward now and making you feel a lot more positive which can only be a good thing

Bucky I should have said something sooner, I've felt for you recently with the rollercoster of emotions you have been going through and that damn GP but at least he/she relented I do hope something positive happens for you soon.

Ei I left a msg in the waiting room for you, sorry to hear you had a CP and all the very best for a sticky one next time.

Hello to Picknmix Mibbes Beaniesteve Jollybear Hatty MOB and anyone else I may have forgotten.

Congratulations to those who have had BFP's.

I'll be 18 wks on Sunday, had my Midwife appt yesterday, heard the babies heartbeat and booked my 20 wk scan so all seems to be going well.

Take care girls and fingers crossed for BFP's for all of you very very soon.

PicknMix · 16/05/2008 11:53

Just popping in firstly to say hope it all goes well at the scan Mibbes - I know you have your concerns so I have everything crossed for you...

and secondly to say a huge HI to MTW!!! So lovely to 'see' you! I'm sure the other 2ww'ers will agree that you wouldn't be 'rubbing our noses in it' - its lovely to have some support from someone whos been been there (and got the bfp so to speak!). You must pop in with updates - esp after your 20wk scan ( that you're 18wks already, where does the time go?!).

I'm 14dpo and tested this a.m - bfn.... LP is 16 days though so not over yet (altho am pretty convinced it is really!).

Ei glad to hear af has left the building and you're feeling a little happier now.

GG I'm really impressed with the speed that they've been doing all your tests - I really hope you get some answers from it all soon.

Hatty how are you feeling at the mo?

Just to echo GG - where are you Abby? Hope all is ok?

Hope you're still chilled Bucky? Beanie so sorry to hear about af

Hello to MOB, SH and JB if you're lurking somewhere? And also to Tink!

PnM x

Madoldbird · 16/05/2008 13:24

Hi gang

Sorry for a few days absense (sp??) but i didn't want to pollute the thread with my general "fed-upness". been going through a bit of a "it'll NEVER happen" time. Sometimes TTC all becomes a bit much, doesn't it?

07MTW thankyou for popping in! Lovely to see you.You are certainly not rubbing our noses in it. 18 weeks - wow!! Do let us know how the next scan goes, won't you.

Tink a very belated congrats!!! Well done. Enjoy your pregnancy!

Mibbes hope all goes well today.

PnM so sorry about BFN - things were sounding so good. Hope AF stays away.

GG I can't believe how fast things are going for you know, with tests etc. And you really are just showing off with your wonderful womb lining we'll all be asking for scans now - just to compete with you for who's got the most pristine womb!!

Bucky wish i coud be as laid back as you appeared to be at the moment! Hope you are genuinely feeling a bit better about things

Hello to everyone else - EI Hatty JB SH BS abby

Apologies if i have omitted to comment on any major news - i have only skim-read the last few days.

mibbes · 16/05/2008 13:25

PnM sorry for BFN, I didn't get BFP until 15dpo and my LP is 14 days so there is still hope
MTW lovely to 'see' you, I was just thinking the other day we hadn't heard from you for a while. I can't believe you are 18 weeks ! Has anyone 'seen' JollyBear around, she hasn't been here or on An thread for a while -
Thanks so much for all your good wishes ladies - the good news is that there is a baby in there ! Am still in shock - how can I feel so 'normal' with little miblet flapping about in there ! I told the scan-lady I was really scared so as soon as she put the instrument on my belly she said "there is definitely something in there and it has a hearbeat" cue quiet tears of relief from me and a big cheesey grin from DP ! I'll post pic on my profile over the weekend as at work now so can't. Off up North to see my parents tonight to break the news - hopefully tell DP's parents tonight too Apparently am only 10+6 but am pretty sure am more like 11+4 - I know exactly when I ov'd so maybe miblet is just a wee tiddler (both DP and I were less than 6lb at birth and we were both 40 weeks) - here's hoping s/he is teeny and slips out painlessly !
Sorry for me me me but am very excited and relieved !

Madoldbird · 16/05/2008 13:27

Mibbes Wonderful!! Lots of love to you and little miblet

mibbes · 16/05/2008 13:28

MOB x-posts. Sorry to hear you have been feeling down hun, great that you're back now and hopefully this will be your month

PicknMix · 16/05/2008 15:01

Fabulous news Mibbes - am so incredibly pleased for you

Mob - its lovely to have you back, horrible to hear you've been feeling down - do come and vent on here if it helps? Know what you mean about ttc all feeling a bit too much, hope this month is better for you...

hattyyellow · 16/05/2008 16:26

Hello everybody! Have a 6pm deadline and I'm....on mumsnet. Can someone block my server please!

Mob sorry you're feeling down mate, I wish I could magically magic up a BFP. Everything xd for you.

MTW can't believe how far on you are!

PnM sorry for the BFN..fingers crossed it turns to a BFP.

GG very impressed by your beautiful womb!

Mibbes congrats again!

Jolly and Abbey you've disappeared - is everything okay?

JollyBear · 16/05/2008 17:03

Hello all,

Thanks for wondering where I was, you are all so lovely. I've been so horribly sick I've not been able to do anything (TMI alert) except vomit and sleep. I went back to the GP this morning and I've been given some different anti-sickness stuff. Hopefully this stuff might work

Firstly, congrats tinker . So sorry I am so late with the congratulations.

mibbes I'm so pleased everything went well, your description made me all teary. The parents are going to be thrilled!

GG What better compliment could a girl want?! LOL at your DH noting the abstinance days!!

bucky I hope you are OK and that you will keep posting on the thread. It isn't the same without you.

MOB Sorry you are feeling down

Sorry about the BFN PnM, fingers crossed you just tested too early.

Sorry for not sending a special hello to everyone but I'm wishing you all lots of love and luck

hattyyellow · 16/05/2008 17:08

Jolly you poor love, have you been off work? Really hope the new medicine makes a difference. Sending you big hugs.

JollyBear · 16/05/2008 17:30

Thanks hatty. Yup, I've been in bed, sleeping mostly. Fingers crossed they work as I start my new job in 2 weeks. It might not make the best first impression to call in sick on my first day .

How's the deadline going?

abbymeg · 16/05/2008 21:29

Hello! Sorry GG, Picknmix, Hatty and everyone else who's wondered where I've wandered off to . I've been having a huge financial crisis (the future is slowly dawning as reality and I want space and money to set up for baby) so have resolved to sell stuff on Amazon to make cash. Little did I know that I would be inundated with orders and have become quite the brown-paper parcel wrapper in my spare time. It means that I have been very neglectful of MN. Every time I put on the computer, there's more to sort out. Sorry again!

Scan was fine. They actually moved me on from 7+1 to 7+5 (yey! ) and the heartbeat was there, so far so good. I got a scan photo of what is a pale blob in a black blob and that's that. I still feel shitty so I'm assuming all is still well a week later. Saying that, I'm around the time I bled with DD, so am a bit anxious of a repeat. I'll be pleased when I get past the weekend.

Big waves to everyone and bags of babydust to TTCers

Bucky2008 · 16/05/2008 21:37

OK peeps...I have been neglecting you , figured I should check in.

PnM Your baby and my baby must be hanging out somewhere together.... We'll have to give them a good telling off when they eventually turn up! I have a secret potion that I am trying this month so I will let you know if what it is if it works!

MOB my Most-of-the-time-CB, ttc is the pits..... You can be as sad as you need to be. I was. I was ready to accept that there was going to be no baby. Getting the letter from the doctor saying that there was no problem with my Progesterone levels threw me back on the track though. Having said that, I haven't rung the number yet for the hospital. I have developed a weird phobia of all the tests...I keep saying I'll just see how I get on this month . I don't know why I don't ring really, I must be a bit mad. First, I moan about having to wait three years and now I hang up every time i lift the phone to ring...Anyway, with time it will pass and you will feel a bit better ok. for you.

Jollybear . So sorry to hear how sick you are . Think of your nice little poppet that will be with you in a few months though .

GG Congratulations on your fabulous womb lining. . Let's hope its good at bowling...hee hee.

Hatty Hope you met your deadline and are having a nice evening.

Eelcatcher Mibbesy oooooh get you with your teeny Miblet . I am really happy for you. That is so good and how lucky are you to have no symptoms (unless you really want symptoms that is ). Sorry I have not been on the other thread. Because I stopped temping and haven't really been posting I haven't visited. Say hi to everyone for me.

Hi to Ei You must be very busy, hope they are not taking advantage of you at work again!! Hugs for BeanieSteve and Tink

And last but not least EVER ....drumroll.....trumpets.....big opening velvet curtains.....07MTW. Woohooo, we miss you. How many weeks are you now? We must be aunties soon no?

And I am sure I have missed someone, sorry if I have...i wish you all a great weekend.

Me, well, have been Bding (still not sure what CD I am but figure I am around ov time...) and I have my 'secret potion' to make things a bit interesting. I am beyond the point of even considering for one second that I will get a BFP, but I feel more in control than last month, so I'll keep my fingers crossed. Laters ladies. xx

Hi Abby I xposted. Glad all is going well with you;. Sounds like you are becoming quite the business lady .

OP posts:
07mumstheword · 17/05/2008 09:11

Wow what warm hello's you are all so lovely

Bucky Your "sectret potion" sounds very interesting what ever it is I hope it works for you.

Good luck everybody. I'll keep in touch and let you know how the 20 wks scan goes

GryffinGirl · 18/05/2008 10:15

Helllooooooo!

WE're all back together again. LOL at Bucky saying we'll all be aunties soon

07MTW - I am stunned that you are 18 weeks ! I am so excited for you. It's lovely to have a mix of PG ladies and TTC-ers all together. How time flies past when I'm having no luck TTC .

Oh poor jolly - I really feel for you, m'dear and I hope the anti-emetics begin to work soon. Make sure the GP gives you what you need and we are all here thinking of you and looking out for your posts when you are well enough. I hope your DH is looking after you and making you as comfortable as you can be. Don't worry about your new job, focus on feeling better and the wonderous little Jollycub you will have.

Bucky - what is your potion? I am very intrigued! I am not sure that a pristine womb lining gives me an added advantage at bowling. In fact, i think the opposite!

Abbymeg - you do you teach Business Stdies, missy . With with your eBay business acuman, "Suralan" needs you on The Apprentice . I need to do that for my Mum, she is moving out of the famnily home and retiring and wants a clear out, so I can see me coming to you for some top tips on eBay-ing . Glad to hear Little Abby is all fine and dandy. It is so exciting round here with the scans!

hatty - did you make your 6pm deadline? How are you feeling at the moment? Any sign of twins this time round !?

picknmix I am so sorry for the BFN . I will be here next month I think, so please stay on here with me. It will be your month soon, I promise (and Ei will confirm, she is very psychic

ei - I hope they are not working you too hard in the NHS. How are things with you?

DH is managing to maintain his no-drinking, which is amazing. He is hoping to lose a bit of weight and feel generally fitter too. |He went to watch the football yesterday at his friends house and drank tea and Diet Cokes instead of beers with the boys. I am very proud of him .

My HSG appointment is on 2 June, DH has to go for another swimmers test and then that will be all the tests done for us . They have all happened in such a rush! I suspect/hope that other than the low sperm count, there will not be much else. Hopefully all the vitamins, organic veg and lack of alcohol will have perked up DH's swimmers a bit, so they can cast aside their zimmers!

CD24 for me today and I have tender (.)(.) as usual - a bit later in the cycle than usual for me, but I don't feel any different, but we'll see come Thursday what happens. Like Bucky, I have decided that what will be, will be, althought we did do lots of BD-ing around the right time.

Have a lovely weekend ladies. I am working today again . How nice the thought of maternity leave sounds

GryffinGirl · 18/05/2008 10:18

mibbes - how could I miss you out! Brilliant news about the scan.

PicknMix · 18/05/2008 18:25

Hi all,

Am back to CD1 today . Feel like sh*t and have really had enough now - knew it wasn't gonna happen this month but its still always a bit of a shock when af arrives, even when she's expected.....

Bucky you best give me the name of your secret potion if it does work! I wish I knew a way to supply our babies with SatNavs if they're stuck somewhere together....!

I apologise for the short post - lovely to 'see' you all postin again (hi to sicky JB and busy Abby!) am just feeling crap. Am sure I'll feel brighter tomorrow once the af hormones have worn off a bit.

Hope you're all having a lovely evening and enjoying the sunshine

PnM xx

GryffinGirl · 18/05/2008 18:51

Oh picknmix I am so sorry . Poor you. It doesn't matter even if you "knew" the evil witch was coming, when AF turns up it is always about as welcome and upsetting as a poke in the eye with a sh*tty stick.

It is crap when AF turns up. Don't worry about a short post and rant here as much as you want - we are all here for you. TTC is so bl**dy unfair and emotional. Thinking of you. Maybe have a glass of wine.

((((((((((hugs))))))))))))

I am sure I will be feeling just like you by the end of the week. my "symtoms" (or lack of them) are exactly the same as I have every other month. It's not my turn either, so I'll still be here.

GGx

Bucky2008 · 18/05/2008 20:41

PicknMix You know I know how you feel.... You will be the first person I tell if the potion works .

Today has been so long...Molly gets up at 5am everyday, and we cannot figure out how to make her sleep longer. She actually needs to pee/poop at 5am so we can't even ignore her . So I have been for two country walks, done all the weeding in my garden, cooked a roast, done 4 lots of washing, cleaned the kitchen, watched two episodes of Greys Anatomy, watched the Incredibles, glossed two doors, read three reports for work and chosen where I am going on holiday.

I have had really bad ov pains today. A bit later than last month I think. I might go to the waiting room (if it is still there!) and see what CD MOB is on, I think I am a day later....or earlier...can't remember.

OP posts:
Madoldbird · 19/05/2008 11:58

Good morning ladies

Have been without broadband this weekend but back on line now. Shame in some ways, i am working from home today, and it would have been a good excuse not to have done!

JB hope you are feeling a bit better this week

abby I am so glad the scan went well.

Bucky Hmmm, secret potion??!! I also have one this month - i wonder if it is the same one?? I know what you mean about putting off doing tests etc. With my advanced age (!) we could have asked for tests at the 6 months point, but we keep saying "just one more month". You must do it when you are ready for it all. You said you were popping into the waiting room to check on my cycle day, well, i haven't been in there for a while so i don't think it's up to date. I am infact on CD13. I s that round about the same as you?

GG well done to your DH - he's doing so well. It clearly means a lot to him as well, otherwise he wouldn't bother. Roll on your last couple of tests, and then i assume they will draw up some sort of "action plan" for you? (Still have my fingers crossed you will get a BFP in the meantime)

PnM So sorry that AF arrived, and to hear you sound so down. You sounded as fed-up as i felt last week. It's horrible, isn't it? Hope you feel a little better today. Like you said to me - do come and vent your feelings on here - that's what we're here for. Look after yourself. X

Well, i had a nice, but difficult to deal with weekend. We had my little 18 month old niece staying, plus we went to a christening. I felt that my nose was being rubbed in it!! Even worse for DH, i think, because he so desperately wants to be a parent. I "coped" last night by having far too much wine - think i need to change my coping strategy!!
