So, I'm CD 4 on cycle 5 TTC after MMC in Jan (which took over a year of TTC) 😞

I'll be testing at the beginning June

Anyone with me?!

🍀 🤞 🌈 ✨

Hi everyone, I caved and did a test last night at 9dpo not expecting anything & to prepare me to get used to seeing a negative result as I'd convinced myself this wasn't our month but we seen something. The top two tests are last night. Just retested this morning 10 dpo (bottom two tests) & I hope I'm not going crazy but this is a faint line?! We are guarding our hearts very closely and I'm terrified of a chemical pregnancy again but I am praying the line progresses ❤️

I will also be guarding my heart on 10 dpo as I had a CP last month. I hope your line will get darker!

KittyFantastica · 03/06/2024 12:30

It looks like I'll be having another anovulatory cycle this month 😞. OPKs peaked on day 9 while I was still spotting from AF, but no temp rises detected. I know there's a chance it could still happen, but I just feel like it won't. I feel as though my body is still so confused from the MMC three months ago. Last month, I had a tiny rise on day 9 and AF came on CD18, so no chance. I recon it will be the same this month.

I'm finding it so heartbreaking. So many people have their cycle back and get pregnant so soon after losses and I'm three months down without even a chance yet. I'm taking so many vitamins to try and settle my hormones, I could rattle if I jumped up and down. Anyone else experienced this sort of thing?

Oh wow, I have also taken so many vitamin supplements just to get my hormone levels back to normal. I take 18 tablets every day. Although I had a CP which is not as serious as your MMC, I am still feeling a bit worried about my hormone levels. I can totally understand how you are feeling! I am so sorry it happened to you and I'd recommend you see a GP. Otherwise, try to be positive because our bodies are also trying to get back to normal!

Hi all can I join! Congratulations to all those with BFPs so far and sorry to all those who have experienced a loss 💖

3dpo today for me 2nd cycle of OPK testing TTC number 2, but not been using contraception since Feb.

Found with OPK It seems I've been ovulating later with a short lutal phase!! Attributed this to BF DC1 (17 months) wich apparently can suppress progesterone and also a bit under weight (BMI is 16.9) which I think has been delaying ovulation. So I've started taking high does b6 and vitamin b complex and eating alot more to put weight on!! Also cut DC down to all but night feeds, will not give these up as it gets me sleep and sanity 😂

So far this cycle ovulated a bit earlier (CD16 Vs CD20). AF due next Friday but should know if my lutal phase has lengthen this time at least by the weekend. Would be said obviously not to get a BFP but be more hopefully if I've managed to get lutal phase over 10 days!

@LucyCL It's so hard isn't it not being able to get excited because you know it can change so quickly. I'm really trying to just keep myself calm and remember whatever happens is out of my control, all I can do is be hopeful that this time everything is okay ❤️ hope you are keeping okay yourself x

That's good news you have ovulated a bit earlier this cycle, I really hope you either get your positive test or your literal phase lengthens out a bit. Sounds like you have a good plan, everything crossed it works out for you 🥰🤞

mountainlass · 03/06/2024 14:36

@KittyFantastica I'm so sorry about your cycles following your MMC. It really is unfair, I would also suggest going to your GP and asking if they can help. I know it can take a while for things to return to normal but this will clearly be affecting you mentally and there might be something they can do. Thinking of you and have everything crossed things get back to normal as soon as possible ❤️

KittyFantastica · 03/06/2024 18:02

Thanks @LucyCL and @mountainlass, you're both right, of course, it's just so hard to take. Before the MMC my cycle was textbook and I've never ever suffered from irregular AF before. It all feels very unfair and unfamiliar.

I have a bit of a GP resistance attitude because I've been fobbed off so many times for things that I just don't think they'd take it seriously. I had blood tests last year for a recurrent issue, but each time the results came, they marked them as 'no further contact' and I had to start at the beginning every time because follow ups constantly got cancelled. I just don't feel strong enough to have to explain my losses in detail all over again and have to argue for investigation and possible help. I went for extreme fatigue and my hair falling out previously and was told it was my sedentary lifestyle (despite 10k steps a day and gym 3x a week) because I work from home and to go for longer walks. I had to push for a blood test and it turned out I was so vitamin deficient I had developed the adult version of rickets! All our GPs at our surgery are locum so it's pot luck who you get.

If you don't mind paying, I would suggest you go private. Private fertility clinics/recurrent miscarriage clinics are expensive however they can help you to find out the potential problems very quickly. You wasted a lot of time on this already so it'd be good to see a private one.

KittyFantastica · 04/06/2024 12:31

@LucyCL We purchased a house and then I was almost immediately told I was going to be made redundant beginning of this year. I was saved, but had to take a pay cut, so there's nothing in the kitty for private care at the moment, unfortunately.

I wouldn't say I've wasted a lot of time, I just expected to be back to normal by now going by what the EPU told me. The previous GP visits I mentioned were pre-TTC times. EPU told me not to have any blood tests for fertility until I tested negative for pregnancy as it would skew the results. My pregnancy tests weren't negative until 7.5 weeks after D&C, so two weeks ago. I've followed their advice. We started TTC in December and I fell pregnant right away. Then I fell pregnant immediately after the chemical, so previously there has been nothing to investigate as it all went back to normal straight away.

I did get up the courage to call the GP this morning though. I was so lucky, I had a call with a lovely locum who was very kind. She authorised what she called a 'comprehensive panel' of blood tests and said she would do progesterone checks if possible once those come back and if my cycle allows.

An hour after I had the call, I went to the loo and saw quite a bit of EWCM. Did a CB digital and got a flashing smiley. Cheapies have been negative since my previous surge last week. I'll keep monitoring it, but my last cycle was only 18 days, so who knows what will happen this time! Either way, I feel in a better place today :).

should have ovulated 30th-1st based on my apps but got my static face and LH spike today! I think it’s a sign! My boyfriend has been unwell around when i should have ovulated and is fine now so we have continued BD. Fingers crossed!

That is good to hear that you have a flashing smile and also you will be given a 'comprehensive panel' of blood tests. : )
Because I had a MC and a CP, that made me decide to visit a GP and he did let me to do a standard routine blood test (it is not pregnancy specific) so that was good. However I still haven't heard anything yet.

That is a very interesting question!! I don't know the answer however after taking vitamin supplements for 6+ months, I find myself having more energy. I used to have naps after lunch time but I feel less sleepy nowadays. My hormone levels and ovulation date have been affected by 2 MCs and I guess I would have ovulated so much later if I hadn't taken them.
Good luck to you!

@KittyFantastica I'm so happy you got your flashing smiley and noticed some positive signs that ovulation might be soon! Don't worry if you get a good few days of flashing, I usually get 6/7 before my peak but have everything crossed for you ovulation is round the corner and things are getting back to normal.🤞 It's good that your GP is doing some bloods for extra peace of mind, hope the days just keep getting better ❤️

KittyFantastica · 04/06/2024 19:38

Thanks @mountainlass, I'll keep in mind about the days of flashing smileys. I've used it before but usually have a swift surge and go straight from blank to static.

Thanks so much @LucyCL, sometimes we just need a push, I'm really grateful for MN. I've attached the blood test list she's ordered so if you find you need more you can request them. The midwives said to ask about vitamin c, thyroid and clotting factor, though only thyroid is on here of those three. I'll see what comes back and go from there. Fingers crossed you get some news very soon too!

Thank you for giving me the blood test list (pregnancy specific)!! Really appreciate it! This is really useful : vitamin c, thyroid and clotting factor will be the things I ask when I visit a GP next time if they find something or when I have the 3rd MC (let's hope not!)... 💝

KittyFantastica · 04/06/2024 22:07

Sorry @LucyCL, totally forgot to attach the image!

The GP put the test reasons down about my irregular cycles rather than specifically fertility tests as they're not supposed to investigate until either 3 MCs or a certain age. I think I'm on the cusp at 35, so she said she would do it as cycle related as a way in. Before my MCs I was regular as clockwork, so she suspects there is still hormonal issues afoot and said we can look further once we rule any of these out. She's doing the thyroid one as it's pretty standard but the vitamin c and clotting factor aren't necessarily, I think.

Ladies, feeling gutted this morning 😞
I really thought this might be my month.
I have been trying to be positive instead of thinking "this will never work".

BFN at 9DPO

(Despite shining a torch at every angle I could and imagining 50 lines 😂)

I guess bring on AF and the next cycle

Anyone else testing yet?

🤞

OP posts:
KittyFantastica · 05/06/2024 08:53

9DPO is still waaaaay too early for most @spamOFtheDAY This is why testing too early isn't good, it really brings you down and the truth is it's not an accurate result yet because anything implanting will likely not even be producing enough hormone to be picked up. Positives this early are not usual.

I never got a positive before 11DPO. I tested on 10DPO last time and it was the starkest negative you've ever seen. I was devastated. Tested the next day to confirm the negative and there was a line. It's not over until AFTER actually shows up (or doesn't).

Give it a few more days :).

MisssMarion · 05/06/2024 09:17

@spamOFtheDAY I agree with @KittyFantastica Try again in a couple of days before you really rule out this month. I don't want to get your hopes up but I don't want you to lose hope too early either 😌

spamOFtheDAY · 05/06/2024 09:49

Thank you both @KittyFantastica and @MisssMarion.
Yeah it's still early. AF due on Friday. But I got my BFP at 9DPO last time so figured this was my cut off 🤷‍♀️

How are you getting on today?

OP posts:
SummerSun24 · 05/06/2024 10:22

Agree with previous posters @spamOFtheDAY ! With DC 1 BFP on 13dpo, stark negatives until then!?

hopeful4us · 05/06/2024 11:18

AF arrived today. Suffering from killer cramps (have not missed these!) and feeling a little disappointed but trying to reframe it in my mind - I’ll be able to properly track this cycle (which I guess is technically my first cycle since removing the implant) and fx we will see a bfp soon.

Nice to start afresh ☀️
