So, I'm CD 4 on cycle 5 TTC after MMC in Jan (which took over a year of TTC) 😞

I'll be testing at the beginning June

Anyone with me?!

🍀 🤞 🌈 ✨

Ah welcome!
Do you use OPKs or any tracking?

Morning ladies 👋🏼 I'll jump on if that's ok 🙏🏼 I'm CD3 today... this will be our 4th month TTC #2 ✨ We had a MMC last October and then went on to have a ruptured ectopic in January which resulted in me loosing my right tube 😞

Hoping for our triple rainbow baby soon 🌈 I am so sorry to hear about your MMC OP.... life is so cruel sometimes!

Trying to keep positive for this new cycle 💪🏼🥰

Cabbie16 · 16/05/2024 09:11

I'm using digital OPK for the first time this cycle 🤞🏼

Cabbie16 · 16/05/2024 12:33

Just got static smiley on the digital OPK today Smile

Currentlykittymom · 17/05/2024 15:52

Hi! Would also like to jump on! CD2 so will be testing in June, month 2 of TTC with OPK!
Fingers crossed for all of us!!

Really going to try and wait until AF due. I tested loads last cycle, way too early and it didn't help. I'm due on 1st June. How's everyone else doing?

CTak · 19/05/2024 20:23

Hi all - may I jump on too? CD23 here, got a stonking great LH peak today, best one yet, so am feeling cautiously optimistic this month. The Premom app tells me I should test on June 2nd, but that would be 13DPO and let's not kid ourselves...

TTC #1, 9th cycle since coming off the pill (desogestrel), but only the third/fourth that we've been properly tracking and trying.

Wishing you all loads of luck.

KittyFantastica · 19/05/2024 21:55

Hi all, may I join you?

I had a chemical in January and a MMC at 10 weeks. Two different kinds of devastation in a very short space of time. I had a D&C on 22nd March and only just got my period back after 7 weeks. I didn't really do ovulation tests during that time as we needed some recovery time.

We decided to just take it easy this month. We're not preventing anything but also not really going for it with SMEP or anything like we did last time. I've been tracking my BBT with my Apple Watch, but it must not be accurate because it has my temps down in the 35s, which would put me at almost hypothermic most of the time 😆. I've done a few ovulation tests just to see whether I will actually ovulate , but no sign of a rise at all and I used to ovulate on day 13 or 14 pretty much like clockwork. I'm currently 16DPO.

So, in short, I don't actually know if I've ovulated this month, but AF is due 1st June, so I'll be testing then if she doesn't arrive. If she does arrive on time, then I'll be CD1 and testing again 28th June. Wishing everyone all the sparkly baby dust.

CTak · 19/05/2024 22:09

@KittyFantastica Hi! Seems like we'll be finding out around the same time. I'm sorry to hear about your losses. Deeply frustrating and disappointing. Taking it easy is the sensible way to go, don't put too much pressure on yourself, it will happen when it happens.

MisssMarion · 19/05/2024 22:09

I'm joining too! CD 3 today, second cycle after a MMC/surgical management in March. This is TTC #2. No idea when I'll test as my first cycle post surgery was the longest I've ever had (32 days), but will defo be in June! I'll probably start testing around 10-11 dpo. I use OPK and Clearblue Fertility Monitor.

I use cheap strips and confirm with CB digital, but tend to peak pretty quickly and don't get very high numbers.
It's usually around CD17

But, I think our main issue is that DH struggles to "finish" so I try to work out the best timings with least number of actual times having to DTD 😣😣!

It makes it so much more difficult and stressful, but I try to make it seem it's not an issue to reduce overall stress levels 😬

I think next weekend will be ovulation so thinking best to DTD CD 14, 16 and 17 or 18 (or however it works out 🤞!) then will be testing 1st week of June

CTak · 19/05/2024 22:51

@spamOFtheDAY Oh god the pressure! We have a similar hurdle - both of us are on SSRIs. They've largely tanked my libido and make DTD a psychological battle even when you don't add the conception game into the mix! DH has been a champ during my fertile week and pushed through it, so much so I told him today how proud of him I am 😅You're completely bang on though - once an issue has been made of it your DH would struggle even more. Heard someone else on here describing fertile week DTD as a good example of "faking it till you make it", and that seems pretty apt!

emmatcc1 · 19/05/2024 23:20

@spamOFtheDAY Similar like you I had a MMC in February that took 17cycles to conceive. We’re now on cycle 4 and pretty sure I ovulated today. My opks were very confusing this month and I might have missed my peak yesterday and I thought I’ll be ovulating tomorrow. I usually ovulate early morning but today was around midday. We dtd 2days before ovulation and day of ovulation and at first I thought we didn’t do good enough but now I’m thinking when we did get pregnant we dtd 3 or 4 days before and day of ovulation. Af due on June 2nd.

KittyFantastica · 19/05/2024 23:23

Thanks @CTak, just realised I wrote I'm 16DPO and can't edit it, I meant CD16 and would usually be 2/3DPO by now, but this time have no clue.

It feels strange this time as the two months we previously TTC we succeeded both times, but both ended in losses. This is the first month that we aren't tracking everything and, even though the pressure being off is wonderful, I still feel sad that our chances are likely pretty low this time. It's nice not to feel lonely with it though.

Sorry to see you're also post surgery @MisssMarion, was your first cycle (and this one) relatively normal afterward? It's taken so long for my period to come back, and this month I don't seem to have ovulated, so I'm worried it's thrown my cycle out.

I'm not sure my cycle is really back to normal yet. I believe I ovulated 2.5 weeks after surgery and AF came exactly 2 weeks after that so about 5.5 weeks after surgery, not too bad I think. It was quite short and light though. Then my first cycle post surgery was 32 days which feels like forever when you're TTC... Second AF was again light and short and no idea of this cycle will be more normal (ie closer to 28 days as it used to be)...

KittyFantastica · 20/05/2024 11:53

Ohh, I see, so there was quite a bit of variation after @MisssMarion. I hate the not knowing what's going on with my body. I was still getting dye stealers 3 weeks after my D&C, and I'm still testing positive now on Wondfo. I did a few ovulation tests, but never picked anything up during the 7 weeks of waiting for AF. I was really hoping everything would be back to normal now.

I've been doing OPKs since CD8 just to see if I'm ovulating, but it's the most inconsistent results I've ever had. Very sad, but absolutely nothing to be done. Even my temps from my Apple Watch don't show any sign of ovulation. I've so much respect for anyone with PCOS as my cycles were always (very luckily) regular before, but now it's a total lottery.

CTak · 20/05/2024 13:12

Ovulation day DTD done 😏 Think we're both looking forward to a break from it now.

This is the first month trying out the Ferti lily conception cup, so that's now boil washing in the kitchen! Has anyone else been using it?

My chart is attached. @KittyFantastica keep doing OPKs! I've never been regular, and being on the pill for five years didn't help either. The Easy@Home OPKs and Premom app have been a life saver, as it took my internal mechanics months to become less ridiculous, but at least you'll be able to see it get back into rhythm over time.

KittyFantastica · 20/05/2024 14:30

Good luck @CTak!

I've used both kinds of ClearBlue digital monitor since August last year. I practiced with them to get a handle on my cycle and really understand it before we started TTC in December. I had very clear results every time I used it except for December (didn't matter in the end, I still conceived), so added in using Easy@Home and Wondfo with Premom from January after I had my chemical. It was so easy to see ovulation and I fell pregnant again. Sadly didn't last.

This time, my chart is a mess, my temps are a mess (collected at the same time every morning through my watch) and it doesn't look like I'm going to ovulate this month. One of two days in between of DTD are missing from the chart as I keep forgetting to update it manually, but we are just on our as and when we feel like it schedule anyway. I've been so desperate to see a sign. I'm officially giving up today though. Roll on 1st June!

@KittyFantastica I can't speak for your BBT as I tried that for one month and gave up because it just seemed wildly inaccurate (99% user error 😅).

However - your LH levels look perfectly normal to me. And if your last period was entered correctly (ending on May 8th), you could be about to get your peak in a few days. Keep testing! Some months my LH levels on the Easy@Home stay consistently low before ovulation, and other months (like this one) they're up and down until I get a peak.

Worth mentioning, our history is different (me, long time contraceptive pill user, you, deeply unlucky losses), but while it took five months for mine to settle into something resembling a semi-consistently 35 day cycle, I was still ovulating during that time, the "cycles" were just longer.

KittyFantastica · 20/05/2024 22:08

Oh, @CTak I'm absolutely certain my temping is 100% user error 😂. Even my techy husband can't seem to get it to work, so I'm giving up on it for next month. I came off the implant two years ago and expected it to take ages, but my period returned four weeks to day and stayed the same until my first pregnancy in January.

I've never ovulated later than CD16, though of course things are off kilter at the moment. Premom currently thinks I'm having 43 day cycles because I've had two miscarriages on the bounce. It used to be very accurate, along with Clue and Flo. None of them are smart enough to understand the gaps though, and they all now give different ovulation dates of CD9, CD16 and CD22. It gives a good example of the limits of the apps, they're great but there's only so much they can understand.

I've attached one of my cycles from before. This is the one I got pregnant on the second time. I always had a visible rise and fall, it's never been up and down like this before. My husband is not keen to DTD at scheduled times this month anyway as we said we would take it easy, so it will be completely down to chance. It's sad but interesting to see what's happening while my body tries to get back to its own normal.

Can I join too please ladies? I recognise lots of usernames here from other threads. We've been trying for baby #1 since December. We had a miscarriage in February. I heeded the advice of my midwife to wait until I get a period before trying again, so have been trying again since April and no luck yet. I'm on CD4 and feeling hopeful for a new cycle 🥰

How is everyone feeling? ❤️
