So, I'm CD 4 on cycle 5 TTC after MMC in Jan (which took over a year of TTC) 😞

I'll be testing at the beginning June

Anyone with me?!

🍀 🤞 🌈 ✨

@spamOFtheDAY I'm 10 dpo on Sunday so going to try hold out till Sunday morning. I've never got a positive before 11 dpo so don't want to test too early. If this isn't our month we have said we will be okay, try to be patient but the waiting & the not knowing I struggle with! Have you ever got a positive at 9 dpo?

Fandangodiggers · 27/05/2024 09:46

Line progression, top one is 9DPO and bottom is 14 dpo. No dye stealer yet but AF due in 2 days apparently…

@Fandangodiggers For tracking progression you should only compare tests with fmu every 2 days.

cherrybl0ssom5 · 27/05/2024 11:27

Thank youu everyone! ❤️ According to Flo i’m 9dpo

spamOFtheDAY · 27/05/2024 07:41

I got my peak yesterday morning- a day early (CD 16)
BD CD14 & 15 but DH said he was too tired after that 🙄
Wondering if that'll be enough.
And whether it's worth trying tonight or it'll be too late by then anyway 🤷‍♀️

That’s definitely enough!! I only dtd once about 2/3 days before my predicted ovulation date

CTak · 27/05/2024 22:53

Congratulations @Fandangodiggers and @cherrybl0ssom5 🤗 brilliant news!! Wishing you both happy and healthy pregnancies.

7dpo here and climbing the bloody walls.

I am going to be enormously unhelpful and say I tested from 5dpo and completely wish I hadn’t, because it’s totally screwed my perception of what a normal line looks like. Even now I know I’m pregnant, I’m worried about EVERYTHING. I kind of wish I’d not tested until AF was due and could just skip this super early worry stage!

Fandangodiggers · 28/05/2024 06:48

Friday (11dpo) FMU vs today (15dpo) FMU. I’m a lot happier now!

@RWSS I'm so sorry for your losses, your ttc journey sounds similar to mine. We've also been trying for nearly a year and had 2 losses, one being at 20 weeks. The most was a chemical pregnancy in March. I did ovulate in April and we tried again but it wasn't our month so we are now hopeful for May too. Like you we've tried every day/every other day all through my cycle so we've gave ourselves the best chance 🤞❤️ I know how hard it is to see pregnant friends & family and you've done amazing to go to your events despite how emotional it is, don't give up our time will come!

Sorry your losses ❤️ I think the hardest is thinking 'I would have been having my first baby or I'd be 20 weeks by now' that mindset gets me so emotional so now I've stopped thinking about it and focusing on the future.

I pray this is both our months 🙏

emmatcc1 · 26/05/2024 15:43

@RWSS So sorry for your losses.
It’s so hard seeing everyone pregnant or with babies. 2 of my friends are pregnant and 5 had recently had a baby.
I should have been due a day after my partners birthday and I really loved the idea of that. If we conceived this month we would have a baby due almost on Valentine’s Day.
Fingers crossed we all get some positive news soon🤞🏻

Sorry for your loss ❤️
I've stopped thinking about the what ifs, they drain me. Now it's only let's do this!
Baby dust for all 🙏

ShieldMaiden87 · 28/05/2024 10:32

I’ll be testing around the 6th if Af doesn’t show. I also lost a baby in January really sorry for your loss x

Fandangodiggers · 28/05/2024 10:48

Aaahhh ladies. So many of us experiencing pregnancy after loss and I don’t care what anyone says, it’s not the same.

Im actually giving a talk to HR at work next week on this very subject - I’m campaigning internally for pregnancy loss and infertility policies, plus a better menopause policy and it’s incredible how many of my colleagues have come forward to talk.

MisssMarion · 28/05/2024 12:01

To me, pregnancy loss made me a lot more anxious about the whole process. I went into TTC#2 fairly naive and innocent after TTC#1 3 years ago went so smoothly. After my MMC in March I'm now riddled with anxiety... 😥 I had a good cry last week (hadn't cried in a while) as I realised I would have gone for my 20 weeks scan around now...

This is our second cycle since the MMC (6th cycle since we started) and I really hope it works, if anything because we'll be in Greece when I'll be testing (or when AF comes) and I don't want a BFN to ruin the trip.

emmatcc1 · 28/05/2024 12:06

@MisssMarion I wanna be pregnant so bad but I’m terrified of losing it again. I still cry occasionally remembering I should’ve had a nice bump and feeling the kicks by now. Should be exactly 26 weeks today. I really hope I’m pregnant by the time my due date comes around.

LucyCL · 28/05/2024 15:53

I have briefly read most of the messages here to catch up. For those who have had pregnancy loss(es), I also had a MC this March and a CP this month. I really think women who have 2 MCs should be qualified to get a referral from a GP to the recurrent clinic. I went to see a GP hoping to get a referral however was told that I'd have had 3 MCs to get the referral.
2 MCs are already sad enough and NHS expects women to suffer from 3 which is ridiculous in my opinion. Today is my ovulation day so I will starting testing tomorrow (1 dpo). Let's be cautiously hopeful!

Fandangodiggers · 28/05/2024 15:53

It doesn’t get easier. I know the due dates of all 15 of my losses, they have names too. Not proper people names, but for example ‘rocky’ was conceived the night we went to the rocky horror show etc etc.

Just an update, I dropped a note to my GP to say I’ve had a positive test at 8:30 this morning, they saw me in person at 13:20. They made me do a test at the surgery I think in disbelief more than anything! I’m booked at EPU for a scan and blood test at 10:30 tomorrow morning because apparently, endometrial hyperplasia increases the risk of ectopic pregnancy and my GP isn’t happy with ‘wait and see’ and wants to locate the pregnancy ASAP. He’s the same GP who broke the news to us that we were very unlikely to ever be able to get pregnant again given the state of my insides, but he said today he has never been happier to be wrong in his life. He’s been very open that he has no idea how a pregnancy will go in conjunction with my particular brand of batshit gynae, and that I’m probably going to need a lot of monitoring so to prepare for that.

😂😂😂@Fandangodiggers I'm just as bad, started at 6dpo. Your lines are looking absolutely beaut so it doesn't look remotely like a CP. Fingers crossed for you 🙏

I'm so sorry about your MC and chemical pregnancy. I also had one in March, I didn't even know what a chemical pregnancy was until it happened to me and it's crazy to see how many of us have actually experienced one. There's so many positive stories online of woman conceiving and having a healthy baby post CP so we just need to cling on to hope we will be one of those. The good news is we can conceive, I try and think of the positives. Sending lots of good thoughts ❤️

MisssMarion · 29/05/2024 10:40

I had my peak yesterday at CD12, i wasn't expecting it so 'early' as last month (first cycle after surgical management) I had it at CD17! It came late during the day yesterday so I'm glad I used OPK on top of the CB fertility monitor as the monitor only detected it this morning... We would have dtd last night anyway as we're doing the SMEP method this month, but I was happy to see the OPK peak beforehand...

I think Inofolic alpha helped keep my cycle shorter (although I don't have PCOS I saw it recommended when TTC). Anybody with similar experience?

I'm probably reading too much into it but I'm hopeful this month will be the month as both times I got pregnant were short cycles (peak at CD12/13) vs longer cycles (peak at CD 15/17) that didn't work out!

Fingers crossed it works as I'll be testing while on holiday so I'd rather get good news not to ruin the trip ☺️ and what a memory that would make! Now I'm getting my hopes up too much 😥

spamOFtheDAY · 29/05/2024 13:06

Been doing a bit of reading on having sex during the TWW.
There is some evidence to suggest avoiding it (5-9DPO)
(and I'm aware it is recommended to avoid when having IVF)
Anyone else avoid sex at this time?

emmatcc1 · 29/05/2024 13:07

I don’t but apparently it’s because our bodies naturally want to get rid of the sperm and that can cause mild inflammation potentially preventing a fertilized egg from implanting.

MisssMarion · 29/05/2024 14:39

I wasn't aware of it but now I've just read the below article and I won't be dtd between 5-9 dpo...

Thank you for sharing! I actually did BD once during this period then I had very very very light spotting when I wiped myself down there. It only happened once. Then I had a CP later on 18dpo. I shall not do that again.

MisssMarion · 31/05/2024 13:57

How's everyone doing? How's the TWW going for you all? 😣
