Should I prepare for the worse?

Hi ladies. I'm currently 13DPO. AF is due on Wednesday. I got a vv faint positive at 9/10DPO. Iv had 3 consecutive miscarriages so my anxiety is through the roof. Going to call EPAU this morning as I can self refer. These are my latest test (the digi was taken yesterday at 12DPO) just looking for a bit of support, re assurance or for some honesty.

Are you having surgical management?

Are you having surgical management?

I don't know what to do. My first MMC at 7 weeks I managed at home on my own. It was tough and very painful but I managed it. I have an appointment at 8:30 tomorrow morning for scan. I just don't want to go

I had a lot of miscarriages, including my first and second pregnancies (like you) and I always had surgical management.

I've read too many threads on here where women have medical management, and it literally takes weeks, then they need surgical in the end anyway.

@JNicko I am so, so sorry. There is nothing I can say or do that will make this any easier for you other than you will get through this and you will have your rainbow baby, whenever it may be. There’s no point me saying I hope you’re ok when you aren’t going to be. Please look after yourself x

I appreciate your kind words. The way I feel right now is I'm never going to be a mum x

I felt the same, after my second miscarriage.

But I got pregnant again, and had DD.

I had eleven miscarriages in total, but in between them, I also had four children.

The odds are very much in your favour, although I completely understand how absolutely terrible you're feeling at the moment.

I'm so sorry. Nothing that any of us can say will make you feel any better, but you are most certainly in my thoughts.

@JNicko how are you doing? X

JNicko · 21/05/2024 17:37

@LW678 not great I won't lie. I'm booked in for D&C under GA tomorrow morning. I'm absolutely petrified. Iv never had it done before or any GA.

Iv still got no bleeding and only very small cramps one or twice a day. So baby is clinging on inside of me.

Hope your ok

I went for pre op at EPAU today and ended up having a panic attack which lasted two hours

@JNicko thinking of you all the time. I really hope it goes as best it can do tomorrow. How do you feel about baby being sent off for testing?

JNicko · 21/05/2024 18:11

@LW678 ok I guess. Least they are following things up now x

@JNicko
I've had several ERPCs under GA.

Recovery was quick and there was minimal blood loss. Tests on one of mine showed a molar pregnancy.

I hope things go smoothly for you.

LW678 · 21/05/2024 18:21

@JNicko exactly. Just an anxious mess if I’m completely honest. Booking a scan in for Saturday again x

Thanks. I'm just a wimp when it comes to hospitals. I have really bad anxiety about it and illness etc. I can deal with pain just not the anxiety and unknown

I am so sorry for your loss. Hope yesterday went as smoothly as it could do and that you can get some answers.

TheShellBeach · 23/05/2024 15:21

How are you today, @JNicko?

JNicko · 23/05/2024 15:42

@TheShellBeach I'm not too bad thanks. The procedure was quite straightforward. I went in at 7:30 and was home for 2:30. I had some cramping and bleeding yesterday but not much at all today. I think it was the right choice in the end although I was very anxious. Thank you for asking x
