TTC 2024 - New Year Babies

Hey!

Thought id start a new thread as anyone at the beginning of their cycle TTC now I guess will be looking at January due dates! Think AF will be here today or tomorrow for me so my due date would be 7th January…

I’m 7DPO today and don’t know if I’m having pregnancy symptoms, if this is a normal period symptom but I’ve never noticed before but my boobs feel much fuller than usual and very tingly!

I think I might do a test tomorrow and see what happens!

Can I ask for everyone TTC #2 or who has fell previously and sadly lost, how early did your BFP show up on a test?

I was incredibly lucky and conceived first try with my 1st 4 years ago and I only took a pregnancy test after I was a week late because my best friend had a feeling I was pregnant because I kept snapping at my husband 😂.

I’m currently 9 DPO on cycle #5. I told myself this time I would wait until AF was late but she isnt due to arrive until next Thursday and I really don’t have the will power to wait that long 😅. Just wondering if 9 DPO is too early?

It's not too early. I had my BFP at 9DPO. I did a cheap test, then a FRER then a CB digital. All positive. (Ended in mc at 7 weeks though.)

However if you get a BFN at 9DPO it does not mean you're out. Many many women don't get their BFPs until later. I remember reading a link that someone has posted that showed the number of pregnant women getting BFPs, at 9DPO it was something like only 20% and then it rises with each day. There is still hope.

With my DS, I tested at 8DPO and had a decentish line on a cheapie test. Then got a FRER test and was a good line that I could visibly see!

Thanks both for your replies. I just got in from work and did a test but it’s BFN at the minute. I might wait until after the weekend and then try again. I haven’t had any kind of symptoms to be honest so wasn’t really expecting anything to show but at least I can enjoy my evening now instead of trying to decide whether to do a test lol.

The cheapy tests I had expire in June anyway which I didn’t realise until just now so may as well use them up this month

Hi all, going to jump in with you all 👋 I've been TTC #1 since Jan but have reason to believe that I've only ovulated twice in that time so hoping this is third time lucky. I had my implant out in December after nine years so cycles are a little wonky. Currently on CD13 so getting busy with opks!

Morning all! I've been TTC since February (3rd cycle). I had some really awful lower back pain on Thursday and yesterday! Today I thought I'd do a OPK to see if it picks up anything and it was slightly higher than my baseline. I then did a HCG test and the faintest pink line came up!!! I'm either 8 or 9DPO which is still very early but really really really hoping this is it! ❤️

@WonderingAboutBabies wow huge congrats 👏 delighted for you. Anything you did different this cycle? I'm trying SMEP using CB digital ovulation this month instead of cheap strips. I'm on 4th cycle ttc baby no.1.

No, we had an AWFUL cycle to be honest! I messed up my tracking and the Premom app had my predictions wrong (compared with OPKs) and DH wasn't able to finish on peak and ovulation day 😅

Hence why I am severely cautious!! I'll be very shocked if I end up with a baby in my arms in 9 months time!

@WonderingAboutBabies it only takes one sperm remember!! Try not to doubt too much fingers crossed for a sticky bean and you will have a baby in your arms xx

I am 11DPO and got awful period like cramps today. Too scared to test as after a year and a half of negatives, just going to wait to see if AF arrives Monday. Don’t normal get such awful pains two days before AF, but after so many cycles my body likes to trick me every now and then.

I know a lot of people say that your cervix isn't a good way to measure things during your cycle but mine has stayed high and soft since I ovulated last cycle, I'm now on CD15 (I have really odd cycles) and it's never changed and its starting to worry me.

Morning all! Update.. 9DPO and a very visible line on today's test! Will be doing a digital at the weekend. Trying to suppress my excitement, I don't want to get too attached and then to lose it 🥺.

Today's symptoms - lower back ache, mild cramping, sore boobs, nausea, and feeling full!

I’ve been MIA trying to figure out what the heck is going on with my cycles and trying not to obsess. I’ve finally got a peak today on CD24 so guessing should hopefully ovulate tomorrow. We DTD Friday and last night, so hopefully can get it in over the next couple of nights and hope that is enough to give us a good chance 🤞🏻

AF finally arrived today, 6 days late 🙌 I’m so relieved we can get back to it. How are you getting on? X
