BFP after first failed IVF? What the actual F

Helloo - husband (38) and I (31) TTC for 2+ years with not a single positive. Laparoscopy diagnosed twisted tubes, stage II Endo and low AMH (8). Both always been healthy, fit, no illnesses etc. So, obviously been feeling very angry with the situation.
Last cycle was our first round of IVF and a fresh transfer (22 eggs, 14 fertilised, 1 grade A embryo put in, with 5 in the freezer)- it failed with no answers. Now, the first cycle after the IVF, I find myself with faint lines at 15DPO, which seems rather late. Ovulated CD19/20 (definitely). I usually have 10/11 day luteal phases and no AF has shown, just spotting. Could these be evap lines?
I’m obviously in total denial because we were told it just probably won’t happen naturally for us. Scared of ectopic as well. Absolutely mind blown. Any words of advice? I don’t know what to think.

My fertility was 'unexplained' - no reason could be found why we couldn't conceive. 20 years of unprotected sex, 6 rounds of IUI and 3 of IVF and I had one 'natural' pregnancy that resulted in miscarriage and one baby via IVF.
I have 3 pairs of friends that were told they were very, very unlikely to have an unassisted pregnancy - they have 2, 2 and 3 naturally conceived children. Miracles do happen. 🤞for you.

@Runningupthecurtains Thank you so much for sharing - and about your friends, too. It’s so hard to have faith when all you’ve known is negative. I think I’ll be in denial until I see something on a screen.. I’m more concerned due to the lateness of the test result tbh. Time will tell 😳

Not ivf related at all, but I never got a line until my period was late. 15dpo for those lines doesn't seem out of the question.

Selfishly please do another test today. I can't wait until tomorrow 🤣

Obviously I know other couples who didn't get their miracle, some are childless, others got there via IVF or other treatments but very very unlikely to conceive naturally doesn't mean it's impossible.

I didnt get lines that dark until about 18 dpo and that little line is currently sat on my knee eating a bowl of dried cheerios. Tentative congratulations

Did another cheap test this afternoon - this one was done 10 mins ago. Also experiencing dull AF cramps now and still brown spotting. This is not a fun waiting game at all. (15DPO)

You've got full on positive pregnancy tests. I don't see how it could be negative and also the period symptoms etc well I had them soo much when pregnant

@Hibye23289 I think I’m just in denial. I’ve become quite glass half empty during our TTC journey.. so I’m hunting for the negatives. I guess it’s self protection. Concerned it’s a tad light for 15DPO and I’m high risk for ectopic.

It’s really ok for 15dpo as they can vary, but I hear you about chemical and ectopic disappointments

Well having had numerous evaps they are most definitely positive tests.

I’ve been tempted to take the progesterone pessaries leftover from my failed IVF cycle as well. Has anyone done this?

Those tests are extremely reliable and now 4 tests is no coincidence. Congratulations!!!!!! :) xxx

I actually did, yes. I was like you I think, trying hard to conceive and when you finally see those lines the wonderful surprise is quickly replaced with worry l think did over 20 tests (two per day) each day to make sure it was still positive. Sending you much love x

@VariantHela Yes - I definitely am filled with worry. Oh how lovely it would be to just feel excitement over a positive test on a whim!! I’m already looking at what’s going to go wrong next…
