On the subject of falling - could someone explain the phrase 'fell pregnant'? I don't get it.....If ladies do fall pregnant then I'm sure you can fall on a HPT NJ.

orchidgirl · 28/03/2008 20:22

Hope you don't mind me joining the thread. I am 7DPO, and until tonight have been very good regarding symptom watching. Suddenly tender boobs. Better than last month when they started 3DPO.

Bucky2008 · 28/03/2008 21:18

Really sorry to hijack but I have been looking for ClairePO. We are organising a meet up on the other 2ww thread and wondered if you wanted to come? I always remember you are near us, so whenever it comes up I think of you. Most of the time I cannot find you though. If you are interested in losing your anonymity come find us on the other 2ww thread

Sorry again to everyone else for jumping in uninvited. Wishing you all lots of luck and sticky baby dust. It would be great if you had a thread where you all got to have babies together.

All the best.

roquefortlover · 28/03/2008 22:23

Hi Lennied and everyone else! I do get sore boobs coming up to period but not for this long - having said that I am prob. just being hopeful!!

ClairePO · 28/03/2008 23:27

Bucky comng to find you!

NatalieJane · 29/03/2008 11:38

Morning all

Well I have reached CD26, with only one stupidly early test under my belt, I feel all empowered....

I haven't had achy boobs, but they certainly feel different, just really heavy, though I don't think they have gotten bigger, or feel any fuller to the touch.

OracleInaCoracle · 29/03/2008 17:27

well done NJ, i always get really excited when its getting close to edd and i havent tested

OP posts:
NatalieJane · 29/03/2008 18:24

LOL Lissie, I feel like I have to give a running comentry on how restrained I am being, I think DH might just divorce me if I say "I still haven't tested" once more!

Everyone enjoying the pitiful weather weekend?

OracleInaCoracle · 29/03/2008 18:31

lol, im going out tonight. i shall have my last post-ovulation keg pint.
ikwym about showing off your self-control. its very satisfying!

OP posts:
lennied · 29/03/2008 23:21

Think I'll join the sore boobs club... and the wishful thinking one too! Self-control ebbing away here!

amytheearwaxbanisher · 29/03/2008 23:26

oh test im dying to on day 30 of 34 day cycle but shall wait sick of convincing myself though had "symptoms"every month but none this one so thinking i must be preggers!

OracleInaCoracle · 30/03/2008 09:01

lennied, self-control. early testing is bad. you rarely get an accurate result. i shall find the table with the likelyhood of getting a bfp on specific CD's....

amy, its only 4 more days. imagine how you will feel getting a nice clear bfp!

OP posts:
OracleInaCoracle · 30/03/2008 09:11

here the second chart is good

OP posts:
NatalieJane · 30/03/2008 11:01

Lissie, that table is really good!

So I have a confession, I tested.... BFN, no more testing for me, and when period arrives, as I fully expect it to, I will be off to the doctors to find out what is causing the severe swelling in my belly, am shitting it TBH, I want to know what things can cause such swelling, but am too scared to google it

lennied · 30/03/2008 12:25

Don't worry lissie, I will wait until 14dpo at least. HPTs are in short supply at the moment so don't want to waste them. Although I don't mind early BFNs, they don't disappoint me as I don't expect a BFP. iykwim. Its once I get close to the end of the cycle that I start getting twitchy and wanting to test, I'm ok until about CD30, which will be next weekend. No sore boobs this morning either

lennied · 30/03/2008 12:27

NJ - think you are better off going to your GP than google-ing. Your GP will have a good idea of what it is or could be straight away, if you look on the internet you will only convince yourself it is something dreadful. Plus if you are TTC you need to get it sorted quickly if it affects your chances of conceiving, which any illness does. Am sure it will end up being something a lot nicer than you are imagining.

kayzisbroody · 30/03/2008 12:36

Can I please join in?

AF is due on Friday and I was ok about it as I think I missed OV due to dh being ill. But the anxiousness is creeping in now. I refuse to test before Friday and I depend on you girls keeping me sane until then.

OracleInaCoracle · 30/03/2008 13:41

welcome back kayz. friday isnt far away, not long to wait, you can do it!

NJ, agree you should see a gp. it wont be anywhere near as bad as you are imagining. but best to get it checked out!

lennied, im the same, start twitching from 8dpo.

btw, also found an article which said that just because ytou got an early bfp withy previous pg's it doesnt follow that you will always get early bfp's quite often HCG levels vary, same with the HPTs.

OP posts:
kayzisbroody · 30/03/2008 13:45

I am going to wait. I did too many tests last month and I drove myself crazy. Not to mention my dh.

ClairePO · 30/03/2008 13:45

11dpo today and still not tested.

It helps that I don't have any tests in the house apart from crappy poas ones that came with some ov tests and the ov tests were crap as the 2nd line was always patchy like all the dye was in a very thin line much thinner than control line. So I figure the HPT's will be similarly bloody useless.

Glad everyone else is holding out too, that link that lissie posted is very interesting. Makes you think re ClearBlue and First Response saying accurate up to 4 days before period due - I guess people being encouraged to test early is a big moneyspinner for them.

OracleInaCoracle · 30/03/2008 13:53

exactly claire. ive been the worst for early testing in the past, and theyve had a stupid amount of money from me. not anymore.

kayz, i was the same. didnt help that my historically bang on time period was a week late

OP posts:
roquefortlover · 30/03/2008 14:51

Hi all, still not tested, due on Tuesday. Might test on Friday if no AF...have 1 boots test upstairs....

OracleInaCoracle · 30/03/2008 15:00

well done! save that test, you should get an accurate result on friday if no period

OP posts:
roquefortlover · 31/03/2008 10:04

Hi all! NJ I see you have cracked....sorry about BFN but may still be too early? I have not tested yet - still have sore boobs, now feelign vaguely nauseous and "odd". Am determioend to hold off till Friday and have very busy week coming up so shd manage it I think, that's if period doesn't come first. Have just spent shocking amount of money on Clearblue Fertilty Monitor on Ebay which if Sod's Law works could mean I get a BFP and don't need it ....

kayzisbroody · 31/03/2008 10:36

Hi, still feeling like I want to test but I am not going to. It's too early even if I use a first response.

Roque, you know you'll probably get a BFP now you have got a fertilty monitor.
