morning! Am now 8DPO. am telling myself to ignore every so-called symptom I have started having! it's not working though dammit. After last months epic cycle of about 31 days (usually 24) I am hoping to get my period next week, though if I go back to 24 days it will be this Friday!

Boobs are throbbing a bit but not sure if it's just me.

Angel2008 · 14/04/2008 14:32

Hi all

Hope you don't mind if I join. Am being a bit impatient waiting for people from my usual thread to respond!!

I am due on Thursday. Did I test on Friday morning, BD 2 weeks ago Sunday. It was ClearBlue and I got a very very very faint line. You could JUST see it when you held it up to the light.

Is this usual or should I be getting excited?

Any advice appreciated!

OracleInaCoracle · 14/04/2008 18:44

angel, a line sounds good BUT don't test again until your period is late. early testing can drive you mad. take it as a bfp (ie no beer, smoking etc) but retest in a few days

I am 21 DPO. This week can't go quick enough!
I was a bit silly last month and kept on testing and testing because I was a week late with my period. Am hoping I am late again this month as this means my cycle has increased.

It's pay day today though so bet you I buy some pregnancy tests, though really I should stay away from that part of teh shop and buy some at the weekend if my period doesn't come.

beaniesteve · 15/04/2008 13:51

sorry - that's day 21 of my cycle and 9 days past ovulation - DOH!

roquefortlover · 15/04/2008 13:55

beaniesteve - don't buy them !!! Or, you are desperate, could you buy online - that at least holds it off for a couple of days (I speak from experience...). Am I right in thinking you are another CB FM user? I am on cycle 1 of using it and have got a peak today - which is a couple of days earlier than I would have thought, so it's very interesting. Guess that means I am joining you on 2ww ina couple of days1

OracleInaCoracle · 15/04/2008 14:02

dont buy them! they are bad and if you are pg, then hopefully you will still be pg in a weeks time, otherwise its best not to know!

LenniEd · 15/04/2008 14:09

That went by quick roquefort, it only seems the other day that you were on CD1. One month blends into the next so quickly doesn't it...

All ok here lissie, having a bit of a debate about putting off TTC for a while. Finances are getting tight with me being a SAHM and may have to go back to work. Can't really do that if pg. If we don't conceive before the summer I might have to wait it out until after Christmas and get a job, although not very keen on the idea (delaying TTC that it, OKish about the job). Trouble is if nothing happens by end of July then we'll have been trying for 8 cycles, and that is too long really to be off my arthritis meds so Drs would refer us so not a good time to stop trying IYSWIM... swings and roundabouts.

OracleInaCoracle · 15/04/2008 14:11

oh lennied, thats crap. can you not get a referral sooner?

OP posts:
LenniEd · 15/04/2008 14:28

Afraid not. I already get priority as most people have to wait 12 months minimum, I only have to wait for 8. I could take steroids if I wanted to which would make me more fertile and would prob get pg quickly, but last time I did this and ended up 3 stone heavier in the space of 6 months. Can't face losing it all again and still got 1 stone left to lose from first time around... plus a bit more that I wanted to lose in the first place . Also I think my GP would be reluctant to do that since it made for a lot of problems during the pregnancy and gaining so much weight really isn't good for you or the baby. No point getting down about it though, hopefully won't come to that and if it does we'll cross that bridge...

OracleInaCoracle · 15/04/2008 14:31

ah bugger.

beaniesteve · 15/04/2008 15:38

roquefortlover and Lissie - I will try my best to avoid the tests
Yes I am A CBFM user and this was my first month and I too got an early peak
