Correction... I was with NJ until she posted that! Looks like I'm on my own now , .... (TESSTTTTTT!!!!) no don't test, wait.... (have you tested yet?)

NatalieJane · 02/04/2008 17:49

LOL OK I am back with Lennied, I only backed down because Lissie made sense, but damn it, I can't resist the letters T,E,S and another T for good luck

I am off for the night now, have a good evening everyone

OracleInaCoracle · 02/04/2008 17:57

but, cheapies are often unreliable until after af's due. best waiting one more day.

OP posts:
artichokes · 02/04/2008 18:27

Are cheapies really that unreliable. I have never used them before.

this is the brand I have. Anyone used them and know how accurate they are? They say they detect the same strength of hormone as a Clear Blue.

OracleInaCoracle · 02/04/2008 18:29

they vary a lot from pack to pack, ive never had a clear response from a cheapie, often seems to be a smudge or a faint line or evap lines....

artichokes · 02/04/2008 18:31

Thanks Lissie. In that case I will try and resist the lure of Boots on the way home so that I have no decent tests in the house and can continue to resist until Friday (sorry everyone else!)

OracleInaCoracle · 02/04/2008 18:34

it'll be worth it when you get a nice fat, clear bfp!

OP posts:
OracleInaCoracle · 02/04/2008 18:36

The percentages of those who get their BFPs on set dpo are as follows:
10dpo=35%
11dpo=51%
12dpo=62%
13dpo=68%
14dpo=74%
15dpo=80%
16dpo=88%
17dpo=92%
and there are some who have not got their BFP until 21dpo

with thanks to the clearbluefairyjunior!

I bow to clearbluefairyjunior's superior knowledge.

I have decided to not test until Sunday if af doesn't come. Dh said I should have done a test this morning but I didn't want to today.

So how is everyone else doing?

Please may I have some of your willpower please?

NatalieJane · 03/04/2008 08:19

Morning all

BFN for me this morning, but still no sign of period....

Off to GP's this afternoon, will hopefully get some answers at long last!

ClairePO · 03/04/2008 09:01

bfn for me

artichokes · 03/04/2008 09:23

BFP, BFP, BFP!!!!!!

I am watching the First Response line develop as a type. Its much fainter than the control but it is a visable line. I can't beleive it.

DH is at the dentist. I can't get hold of him. Aaaarrrggghhhhhh

kayzisbroody · 03/04/2008 09:24

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

artichokes · 03/04/2008 09:31

I am seriously in shock. I am at my desk and have the test hidden under a folder where I can peak occassionally.

Last night I was sitting with my diary looking at my recent cycle lengths (because I have irregular cycles) and I realised that this cycle was already one day longer than any other in the last 3 months. So I decided that gave me permission to do an internet cheapy this morning.

I did the internet cheapy upon waking and I though I saw a second line. But DH disagreed and reckoned it was a shadow of where the line would be. I knew that if I got a line like that on a Frist Reponse I would consider it a positve, but given the repuation of cheapies I refused to get too excited. I then refused to eat or drink so as not to bilute my urine. I did my whole commute starving hungry and v thirtsy and bought a Frist Response at the Tube station.

I am still staring a the test now (hope no colleagues are watching). It is a faint pink but I can ssee it from a long distance .

kayzisbroody · 03/04/2008 09:33

YAY!!!

I am so happy for you!!!

Is this your first?

artichokes · 03/04/2008 09:35

It will be my second.
DD is 19 months.
My EDD should be 13 December so there should be 2 yrs and 4 months between them.

kayzisbroody · 03/04/2008 09:37

Awww!

Thats a good amount of time between them.

I could never do a test at work. I wouldn't be able to keep my mouth shut.

lennied · 03/04/2008 09:44

Congratulations artichokes, wonderful news. I had a feeling that fertility monitor would swing it!

lennied · 03/04/2008 09:47

Sorry, going crazy... was Roquefort with the fertility monitor. Though it was you, that's why I was convinced you would get a BFP!

NatalieJane · 03/04/2008 09:49

Congratulations Artichokes Has cheered me up - well done!!

Sorry about BFN Claire, could it be too early?

artichokes · 03/04/2008 09:55

Thanks everyone.

Just spoke to DH who was very pleased. He works 5 mins away from me so is going to come and look ath the test on his way back from the dentist. Not sure why I want him to look at the test but I really, really do .

Sorry about your BFN Natalie Jane, so strange when you thought there might have been a line yesterday. I hope the GP gives you some good answers.

NatalieJane · 03/04/2008 10:42

Awww Artichokes, I always need DH to look as well, just clarifies it, and makes it more real, as in not my imagination!

I hope he does as well, whenever I get to bloody see him.

kayzisbroody · 03/04/2008 10:47

I had to get DH to look at mine too. Even the CBD one

I feel really sick this morning. Been sick once already. I think I am coming down with a bug as dh wasn't feeling good last night.
